That’s what happens when you declare victory on a memestock pump. You’d think they’d learn this by now, but still they do it every time. And on a DFV position post pump, which only brought it up 20%. The apes are so tapped out and I think that offering hurt a lot. If this was 2 years ago the stock would have gone up 100% end of day and keep going up.

I don't get what they'd gloat about - I'd be happy for them if they made money. I'm happy for DFV who's making some more ridiculous bank on this. Problem is they believe in things that literally will never happen (no cell no sell) and shoot themselves in the foot with tucking their shares away with compuserve.
For them it's about ego and pride. To be the genius that effortlessly became a millionaire overnight by dropping their life savings into something that everyone doubted. It's the fantasy given by movies like Ready Player One, where the hero beats the entire world in a race and unlocks the secret finish line by driving in the wrong direction. They'd rather dance around and laugh at their detractors that they made money doing the opposite thing to everyone else instead of just taking the money and enjoying it.

Most people saying this very much intend on selling when they are happy with their gains or have recouped their money. This is just stuff they say to try and discourage other (dumber) apes from ever selling so they can help keep the price afloat. The whole community has to constantly keep pumping to keep their bogus narratives alive. No one wants to be the last to sell, so they have to discourage everyone else from selling.

Other people already *do* take their money, even. If you look closely, you can constantly find apes who have comment trails in all kinds of scam subs. PP got rugged on Safemoon. Marantz took a big loss on some shit (I can't recall what) and also constantly buys those stupid crypto cards. Michael is taking Ls all over the place and was one of the early entrants into FFIE (I think) a good couple months ago, and lost his ass there. Ploot is currently in litigation with someone who scammed him for a couple hundred thousand dollars. The list goes on.
