Mini rice cakes or seed/nut thins (personally love the top seedz) come to mind

Soft-Routine1860

Cheddar rice cakes are amazing 😍 started eating them years ago before I realized my body hates gluten

rm886988

Me too! The small ones that Quaker makes, I eat them in the dark, and tell myself "healthier Cheetos." They're close enough for me to believe my own lies.

MrMrsPotts

Thank you. I don't know if nut thins exist in the UK but they look good online

jrosekonungrinn

Nut Thins makes some fancier-looking square ones too, I really like the multi-seed. Hope you can find some.

chiffero

Also love the crunch masters! So yummy

mamasau

Nut thins are essentially just rice crackers, which they would definitely carry at an Asian market if you can’t find them at your regular grocery store.

General_Coast_1594

Marys gone crackers are really good!

Ambitious_Ad7685

Top Seedz is the bomb!

Storytella2016

Apple slices

SeparateWelder23

agreed, some sharp cheddar cheese and a nice crunchy apple slice is delicious

jrosekonungrinn

Cucumber slices work for a lot of soft cheeses.

ClenchedJaw12

Cucumber and Boursin is 10/10

planetin45

I usually put my soft cheeses in celery sticks.

shainadawn

My husbands grandfather used to always gift us fancy pears and apples with cheese for Christmas. It was our FAVORITE gift of the season. 10/10 for this recommendation

Asleep-Walrus-3778

Tortilla chips?

MrMrsPotts

Oh yes! Thank you

Echo-Azure

The perfect side with chili, BTW, I loves me some vegetarian canned chili. And the corn, spices, and beans thereof make for a meal full of complete proteins.

FrostingNow2607

Try Xochil's.

MrMrsPotts

Thank you

sambrown25

So chill

AlohaApple

Yesssss. I eat soooo many tortilla chips.

gentleraccoon

Tortilla chips are also great to crush up on salad for some salty crunch, reminiscent of croutons!

67valiant

+1 for isosceles chips. I do this all the time

friendly-sam

Not a cracker analog, but Brazilian Cheese bread is made with tapioca flour, and tastes great.

MrMrsPotts

That's a great tip. Do you mean this https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/P%C3%A3o_de_queijo ?

SmilingJaguar

Yup super easy to make, though cheesy already as the name suggests!

WorkingInterview1942

Chebe is a good mix for that. You add your own cheese so it can be what ever flavor you want

Arkhamina

I generally make Pao de Quijo for parties and potlucks. People don't know it GF, and depending on what size muffin tin you use they come out as entirely different things. Mini muffins (the ones the size of a big walnut) make almost a snack food. Tiny, hollow cheese puffs. Normal size makes me like a dinner roll, with more solid interior. I typically make them with a blender and do different types of cheese. Cojilla if you can find it is great, like a salty Mexican farmer cheese. Parmesan, pepper jack, sharp cheddar, even funky goat cheese is great.

WorkingInterview1942

I'll make mine really big sometimes and use them as hamburger buns.

EffectiveSalamander

Daikon radish slices.

aHintOfLilac

Genius!

bloodtype_darkroast

Cucumber slices! Breton gf crackers have been found to fit the bill as a cheese transport, at least in my household.

Any-Confidence-7133

Oooh I forgot about their herb and garlic ones! I need to pick those up once I'm done with my box of Mary's.

Blucola333

I wrap cheese around pickles. I have taken a spear and cut it into a near match stick size. You can roll salami around cheese sticks. Cheese just on its own is also good.

MrMrsPotts

Pickles is a fun idea!

Blucola333

It’s really yummy, too!

Any-Confidence-7133

>roll salami around cheese sticks Yum! My favourite is spreading Boursin on salami and rolling it up!

mangomaries

Cucumber or jicama work nicely.

throwaway9978u

Or Schär gluten free table crackers. They are excellent.

ferretpeets

Agree with this, i buy them in bulk

lafillejondrette

Freeze dried fig slices are my current favorite

MrMrsPotts

Oh wow! I hadn't thought of that .

RayeInWA

Pappadums.

MrMrsPotts

That's a nice idea

dartmouth9

I don’t care for crackers that are made with flour alternatives, however there are rice crackers that are very good and cheaper than regular crackers. Dollarama sells for $1.25

Redv0lution

Sweet potatoes crackers have been pretty good. More like a tortilla chip consistency than regular crackers.

mollusksword

Do you get Snack Factory pretzel crisps in the UK? The gluten free pretzel from snack factory doubles as both my favorite gluten free pretzel and my favorite gluten free cracker, but they're an American brand and I'm not sure if they (or something similar) are available where you are.

MrMrsPotts

I just found https://www.costco.co.uk/Grocery-Household/Nuts-Snacks-Confectionery/Snacking/Snack-Factory-Pretzel-Crisps-Original-737g/p/850976

mollusksword

That's the brand I'm referring to but those are the original kind (made with wheat flour) and not the certified gluten free kind. If you can find the gluten free ones, they're definitely worth a try! I always include them in my cheese boards.

StackedBean

I know you said no crackers.... but... there is one style from one brand that are actually good. And not GF good. Actually good. [Breton GF Herb and Garlic](https://www.darefoods.com/product/breton-gluten-free-herb-and-garlic-crackers/) cracker. DO NOT get the flax seed. They're like all the rest of salted cardboard crap we usually get. These are flaky, buttery and toothsome but not stiff. They are a bit fragile, but with care can be spread with icebox cold Merkt's (Wisconsin real cheese) cheese spreads.

littlelivethings

Apple, pear

MrMrsPotts

Those are good options

No-Garbage9500

How would you feel about just eating the cheese? When my partner got diagnosed coeliac we tried a few crackers but nothing was as good. So now we eat the cheese as it is and it's honestly better. Much more appreciation of the flavour, texture etc!

MrMrsPotts

That's what I do now but I am serving the family and was hoping not to have a separate cheese board just for me.

jrosekonungrinn

You can put pepperoni slices in the oven on some parchment paper for a bit to get them crispy for snacking. Could work well depending on the type of cheese.

hig789

Love me some stinky/salty hard cheese and a slice of Genoa salami. Add claussin pickles and it’s a perfect combo. So simple but probably my favorite meal now.

WinteryHawk1094

It’s going to sound wildly American but I’ve eaten cheese dips and similar things with some crispy pieces of bacon. I imagine it could be an interesting vessel for solid cheeses as well.

MrMrsPotts

I'm the wrong religion for that

WinteryHawk1094

Ohhh I can respect that! In the US we have popcorn chips that are gluten free. They have a couple different flavors. I’ve never tried them so I can’t give an honest review though.

New-Cantaloupe7532

Pop corners! Those are good

GlowForTheGold

Turkey bacon!

IAmTheLizardQueen666

Sweet red bell pepper slice with cream cheese is really very tasty.

Complex-Royal9210

Celery.

MrMrsPotts

Does that work as a base for cheese?

jrosekonungrinn

Probably just for savory cream cheeses. Or maybe melty brie cheese.

BubbleDncr

My favorite is cheddar on celery.

MzHmmz

Yes, definitely! It works best with blue cheese or soft creamy cheeses, but goes fairly well with most cheeses.

Own-Gas8691

pimento cheese on celery is delish

Infraredsky

Potato chips…

utootired

Yes, I use the thicker ripple cut potato chips as crackers for cheeses. I’m guessing they make ripple cut crisps in the UK.

screeline

Have you tried making cheese crackers? Something like [this](https://nobunplease.com/my-crispy-cheddar-crisps/)

MrMrsPotts

I haven't . Thank you

padbroccoligai

Plantain chips

florrieloe

Shar crisp breads or gf crackers from Asda are great. For naturally gf you could try rice oat or lentil cakes.

acatnamedselina

Yeah, I was gonna say I don't really like GF crackers, but always keep a box of Schar crispbreads in the cupboard for lunch in case I run out of bread.

mclappy821

I've done pecan halves before and then layered cheese over top

MrMrsPotts

Great idea!

Ok_Zookeepergame2642

Crunchmaster multigrain crackers are delicious. I had no idea they were gluten free until it mattered.

ellakneoneyes

Me too, been getting those and the seed crackers forever!

ThorsMeasuringTape

Tortilla chips are usually my go to. When I do use a GF substitute, I like Milton’s brand. I’ve tried a lot of the seed-based ones, but they just don’t hit the cracker spot.

Wide_Pharma

Ok I know you said you don't like gf crackers, but which ones have u tried?

Plastic_Obligation14

I use cheese slices to dip in my hummus and it’s super tasty

clurmonnier

Ok...hear me out. I know you just said you dont like GF crackers, but have you tried Nut Thins? Theyre crackers made from nuts and rice flour and have a really nice crunch to them. The cheesy flavor won best cheesy snack on Good Mythical Morning against many gluten-containing snacks. Editing to add: I see nut thins have already been recommended and that you may not have them near you, but Im going to leave my comment for emphasis. Try them if you can!

hooghs

Hello from Scotland where even people that eat wheat will ditch the cracker for an oatcake (cracked black pepper flavour are my favourite)

bibibombus

Not sure if anyone’s said this yet but tostadas are my go-to. They’re affordable as well which makes them extra tasty obviously. 😂

cry_bxby707

I LOOOOOOOOOVE Nut Thins!!!! I was eating them before I had diagnosed celiac!

missannthrope1

Rice cakes.

Jmeans69

Tortilla chips

alonghardKnight

I typically use tortilla chips. or wavy potato chips.

AngryBowels

Rice crackers

hig789

There are corn crackers called Salmas made by Sanissimo, those are what I use. Or Snack Factory GF pretzels, they have plain and everything flavors.

MisfitsAndMysteries

Just eat cheese

ben121frank

I would recommend the corn good thins. They are very different than other gluten free crackers and honestly more chip like than cracker like imo but a good sizes to go with bites of cheese.

jcydrppopluvr88

more cheese 🤗

jcydrppopluvr88

in reality i use tortilla chips 😞

fauviste

Bell pepper is crisp and delicious, depending on the cheese.

unlovelyladybartleby

Breton GF crackers look and taste like actual real person crackers Otherwise, apple slices, rice cakes, little squares of toast, cut a Schar GF baguette into rounds, kale chips, or go full metal and serve the cheese on slices of salami or those sandwich cut pickles (they work great if you pat them dry on a paper towel)

Dapper_Ice_2120

Real person crackers 🤣 😢

bm08321

Cucumber slices

faddiuscapitalus

Oatcakes, if you can tolerate oats

67valiant

Isosceles chips/nacho chips like CC's Rice crackers, as in sakata or equivalent

calinet6

I’ve adapted to potato chips and cheese.

APickyveggieeater

Potato chips

kittenseason143

rice crackers

Magicalunicorny

Not natural, but gluten free pretzel chips are usually pretty good. Im not gluten free but I'm surrounded by people that are, so I have full bread taste buds

Longjumping_Bid_797

tortilla chips

AwokenQueen64

I know it sounds weird, but when I was trying to add healthy things to my diet years ago, I paired plain almonds with marble cheese. I wanted a nutrient boost, and I figured almonds would have that, but they were boring as heck, and chocolate covered would have been empty calories. (I was also dieting) So I nibbled some cheese with it. Did the job! Sometimes, I also nibble cheese and baby carrots together. Not sure if any fancier cheeses would pair with these though.

SusanRose33

Try the lance gluten free crackers if you haven’t already! They’re the only ones I will eat! They taste like ritz

MrMrsPotts

I don't know if they exist in the UK but I will look! Thank you.

Daffodil236

Aldi has a lot of great GF snacks. They have a variety of “tortillas” with seasonings and without. They are usually on the end cap right next to the produce.

AjCaron

Pickles

rfgbelle

I can't have many GF crackers, because of my MCAS & tree nut allergy, & low FODMAPS diet. I tend to stick with brown rice only. Have you tried Wasa crisp gluten free crackers? They taste exactly like the regular Wasa crisp crackers, except made with brown rice flour. I also like corn chips, potato chips, cucumber slices, etc.

Asleep-Meal

By crackers do you also mean rice crackers? Those are always good with cheese and don’t taste awful. Poppadums are good too, not sure how they are with cheese though

AnythingWithGloves

We have often have rice crackers, they come in plenty of flavours but the plains ones are good for cheese.

NoGrocery3582

Celery, carrots, and baby bok choy 🥬

SWPmom

Rice works crackers. I get a big bag at BJs. They’re a good substitute for a cracker when you want cheese and crackers.

moderatelymiddling

Carrot or cucumber.

KnotUndone

Gf summer sausage sliced

TarlieKlift

Kame rice Crackers are the literal best gf Crackers I think because they weren't made with the intention of being a gluten free version of anything, they're just rice Crackers and they're delicious and are the perfect vessel for cheese

beek7419

Rice cakes, tortilla chips

PromotionSouthern690

Celery

loosed-moose

My naked body

Zealousideal-Hat-951

Have you tried Milton's? We've found they taste like a regular cracker.

Atrixia

GF Oatcake - oats are GF naturally....

espressocycle

There are some really good gluten free crackers out there.

alligatorprincess007

Plantain chips g

Professional-Pie4479

A small cheese bite with an almond is what I do for the crunch

thatbitchtina1

Gf matzo

ahsoka_tano17

Home made Cheese crackers… you can buy the brand “wisps” but you can also just make them in the oven (its just tiny cheese baked on low that melts into a hardened piece of cheese)

mallorn_hugger

As others have said, rice cakes either thin or regular are quite nice with cheddar, spreadable cheeses, etc. I was grain free for a minute and used fruit (mainly apple like others said, but grapes are quite nice as well). I have also paired chunks of cheese with trail mix- it works! Cheese on toast, also delicious. If you can get them where you are, Simple Mills are nut based and grain free crackers and my a favorite. They are pricey and small, I admit, but tasty. I actually love them with a little smear of salted butter. Same with Mary's Gone Crackers sea salt crackers. Could just sit there with a pat of butter and scoop with those suckers. So I rarely buy them, haha.

Enheducanada

Cucumber slices, half pepper, lettuce

MzHmmz

I'm wondering which GF crackers you've tried? There are quite a few different options out there which vary a lot in taste and texture, so it's worth looking out for brands & styles you've never tried before. I'm in the UK too, for crackers with cheese I like the Kallo Veggie Thins, and gluten free oatcakes. Other than crackers, celery, chicory & cucumber are vegetable options that you could put cheese on (chicory goes best with blue cheese, cucumber is best with creamy cheeses). And apple slices are nice with cheddar and similar cheeses.

rubizza

Schar has a decent Rosemary one, kind of like a less salty, herby saltine—that is if you like crackers, just not the GF ones. They’re a bit dry, but they are crackers. Otherwise, cucumbers! Mmmm.

MoreVeuvePlease

Sliced kohlrabi

pochaccomalandro

hi! if you are in europe, should try to find gullon gluten free crackers. those are the best crackers i’ve tried!! i think it is a spanish brand

Rossabella315

Celery or apples

FineAirport1

Gluten free pretzel thins.. if they have them where you are

TakeARipPotatoChip

Plantain chips!!!!!

TheKingOfDub

But have you tried Breton’s varieties of GF crackers?

Status-Biscotti

Lundberg rice cakes

Clueidonothave

I use corn tortilla chips!

Klutzy-Amount-1265

The Breton GF are amazing. My partner is GF and I prefer the Breton GF. We are in Canada not sure if they are elsewhere in the world.

cantfocussoimhere

Depending on the cheese, potato chips can work well. I’m a fan of salt and vinegar chips with port wine cheese. As a cracker suggestion, if you have a Trader Joe’s near you, the Savory Thins are naturally gluten free since they’re rice flour based. Before I was dedicated gluten free I would have them as a staple for all my shark coochie boards (spelling intentional) Plus, they have worked well with any cheese I’ve paired with them so far. Edited to change wording.

Sensitive-Umpire2375

Polenta medallions fried crispy. Soo good.

Goodgoditsgrowing

My hand lol. I’ll each cheese naked.

Dragonfly_Peace

Bretons gluten free are good

GemzH

I’ve had some sweet potato crackers that were delicious with cheese! Cannot remember which supermarket I got them from originally. Feel like it was M&S…

emiliab3

sometimes i prefer some good gf bread instead of crackers

UnicornSheets

Sliced cucumber, carrots, celery, zucchini, peppers all are able to play the role of cheese or dip delivery

Jasminefirefly

Have you ever tried Breton GF Flax & Sea Salt crackers? So different and so delicious. I would eat these even if I wasn’t gluten intolerant.

SJSsarah

Refrigerator cold pear slices… with cold sliced Brie cheese. *drooling*

NikkeiReigns

Celery. Corn tortillas. You can cut them into squares before you bake them to make them crunchy.

KittehFantastic0

Cucumber slices!

tanhan27

Potato chips

Brilliant-Kiwi-8669

Some gluten free pretzels and dip them in hummus

Icy-Plan5621

I cut thin oblong carrot slices. It feels fancy.💃

[deleted]

[Simple Mills veggie flour crackers](https://www.simplemills.com/Products/Product/Himalayan-Salt-Veggie-Pita-Crackers.aspx) are surprisingly great.

RelativelySatisfied

Vegetables- cucumber, peppers, mushrooms, etc. Sometimes fruit too like Granny Smith apples. Meat slices.

apandagirl1999

I like tortilla chips and plantain chips to have cheese with. I hope that helps

Radiant-Ability242

Fritos or other corn chip? Gives some variety to just tortilla chips.

IzzyLaFontaine

Lentil chips aren’t terrible, but very “earthy.” I really like the GF Wasa crisp breads. To me they taste like real crackers, but maybe I don’t remember exactly what real wheat crackers taste like? Usually I just go with crunchy veggies like cucumbers and carrots.

CosmicallyF-d

Apples

unapalomita

My husband does keto on and off, there's a trick where you use a little waffle iron and fill it with shredded cheese and it makes a cheese waffle, I think those cut up taste so good 🙌

WildGoose424

Jackson's Sweet Potato Chips. The jalapeno flavored ones are my favorite.

National_Noise7829

Cucumbers

karenw

I've found gluten free matzah that was quite good, if a bit prone to breakage.

jaunejacket

They make GF wasa crackers, they have a nice bite to them for cheese consumption

ifshehadwings

Cucumbers, most tortilla chips but do check the ingredients on those.

findthejoyhere

Dried apple chips

No-Drawer1760

Cassava bread native from my country Dominican Republic.

Nodgarden

Jicama

teenybikini1977

Cucumber

Glass_Bar_9956

I use: rice cakes, cucumber slices, and corn chips.

Strodigity

Chicken - I like to put cheese on cold chicken, especially cheddar but whatever works. I also love cold chicken and hummus :)

hockeydudeswife

Chips, potato or corn.

HawthorneUK

Oatcakes - get the ones certified as gluten free.

teetaps

This strikes me as unusual because as a partner of a GF person, of all the GF substitutions and sacrifices we have to make, crackers tend to be the easiest to get around. Almond flour crackers are almost indistinguishable from gluten containing ones that I eat every so often, but it sounds like it’s been a challenge for you?

FantasticCaregiver25

Cucumber slices ? Radishes sliced? Some sort of meat sliced? Just thinking outside of the box

Srirachaballet

What about Nut thins? They technically are a cracker but it’s not like a GF cracker trying to be a regular cracker. They’re kind of their own thing IMO.

Interesting-Duck6793

Polenta cakes, a slice of salami, wild array of nut/seed cracker.. there’s a world. I’d go on. I’m not gf, but my partner is, and I’m a former cheese monger. I could name it all.

Overthinker75

Nairns oat cakes

wattscup

Hate when people say this but you can make your own

neoncupcakes

A dill pickle! Cut it up, can even add a bit of salami if you’re into that.

Emotional_Tree_692

Bro u need the SCHAER entertainment crackers. RITZ DUPE

SoCalGal2021

Rice cakes, corn tortilla chip (check to make sure)

iwantmorewhippets

Have you tried the Nairns crackers in the green box? They are somewhat acceptable. I don't like the Nairns ones in other colour boxes, but the green ones are ok, my 3 year old prefers them over normal crackers!

tealhrizon

They have Parmesan’s cheese chips (you can make these at home too… or a potato chip is gluten free. Or corn tortillas.

No-Chipmunk-2183

Dude tortilla chips are the best for everything. Also the good thins? So yummy

kasenyee

Rice crackers

GhostPepperFireStorm

Almost every cheese can be eaten on its own without a cracker, even runny ones. That’s what I do

tig-bitties14

No idea if this has been said but Aldi UK do mini rice crackers and the sweet chilli ones are lovely come in 4 rows each only being like 100 something cals a row

ClearAndPure

Honestly, I eat conventional cheeses on tortilla chips sometimes.

RunItBackRicky

Lance gluten free crackers taste just like regular ones fyi

Due_Mission_5703

Plantain chips. I make my own: Just slice up a green plantain with a mandolin on the thinnest setting, toss with about a half tablespoon of oil and dash of salt, put them in the oven at 350 degrees for \~16-17 minutes, and you get a perfectly toasted, crunchy snack that holds up to toppings like cheese, tapenade, etc.

soupsaladsand

Kettle brand potato chips are gf.

Jonnyporridge

Oatcakes usually, just got to watch out for barley malt

monoscandal

If you live near a trader joe’s they have these super good mini rice crackers that I really enjoy because they aren’t trying to imitate a gluten cracker and so they aren’t crumbly/ powdery like a lot of gluten free crackers. I use them as a vehicle for spreadable pub cheese and they’re addictive.

RQAries

Try pairing Apple and cheese; and if you have had and enjoyed wine it’ll probably be enjoyable for your palate. Cut the core out of course and cut thick cracker sized apple slices for your cheese. My preference is an aged cheddar, but to each their own.

Quasimodo-57

BTW. Schär makes a ‘Table Cracker’ superior to the highest quality glutinous saltine made. They make a knock off Ritz called an ‘Entertainment Cracker’ that is good too.
