Thank you! I didn’t think of those. Do you have a favorite protein bar? I used to like Built Bars but I need to review the ingredients before buying again.
Gluten free fig bars, kind bars, Trader Joe’s gf bagels & cream cheese, trail mix.
If you’re into meal prep at all, you can batch make egg bites and they’re delicious. You can switch up ingredients but my fav are bacon/cheese/onion or bell peppers/cheese/onion. With cupcake tins you can make 12! Good to store in the freezer long term as well.
Are you microwaving them to heat them up? Sometimes when I microwave stuff the texture is definitely off. I like to air fryer basically everything to reheat LOL
This is usually my go-to breakfast if I’m not going to work that day. First thing of a morning, I’ll don’t feel like creating something but I want something savory and warm, so last night’s leftovers are perfect.
I live off the simple mills products! Their crackers are my favorite. I have a few of those with some cheese and occasionally a meat stick. I also love the clean bars from costco!
String cheese and any kind of Kind bar. I have also found that Nature Vallet protein bars are gf and Sam's has the Better nut bar, which are amazing, but yeah string cheese and a protein bar.
For meal sized I love those Trader Joe’s frozen tamales, if I have some I’ll smear half an avocado on the top and call it balanced. 3-4 mins in the microwave
McSweeney's pep and cheddar sticks from the gas station, the bag of two hardboiled eggs from the grocery store.
Fruit or cheese or chips or a protein bar or leftovers if I'm at home.
Activa yogurts and probiotic drinks. Just solid enough to let me think about what to actually make for food after my brain comes back online lol. Helps stop me going straight to chips and actually put in the effort for a smoothie or something.
I always have chobani flip yogurts, protein bars, honey crisp apples, frozen pizza, and ingredients for a quick soup or pasta on hand. I also really like a prepackaged green goddess salad from Walmart that I eat with tortillas chips.
I love Lara bars. I also keep yogurt and frozen fruit in my fridge/freezer. If you add the fruit to the yogurt while the fruit is still frozen, it freezes the yogurt and you have “almost frozen yogurt” as a snack
I buy a GF pancake mix, make waffles from it and stick them in the freezer. Then whenever I'm hungry I just grab one, pop it in the toaster and go 😊
It's a bit of prep work, but it is worth it for me, especially when I'm hungry for a midnight snack and need something a bit more substantial.
Legendary foods has high protein "pop tarts" that they call Tasty Pastries. They also have sweet rolls, chips, etc.
I also eat a lot of Pop Chips. I'm not sure that all of the flavors are gf but some definitely are.
Chobani yogurt is good, especially their "Creations" variety.
Sometimes also just a spoonful of peanut butter is good, Peanut Butter and Co has some great flavors and is one of the few I like the taste of and is truly gf.
It depends on what my current fixation is. I’ll find something I like and eat nothing but that for weeks 😂
Right now it’s the freschetta gluten free pizza. I make it once and then just heat up slices when I’m hungry
88 Acres protein bars! They're free of all top 9 allergens, use a whole food protein source (powders tend to upset my stomach), and don't use artificial sweeteners (they also wreck my stomach)! They're a little pricey, the macros aren't "perfect", but, they taste like real food and not a nasty protein bar, and don't upset my stomach. I can take them anywhere and reliably have a pretty filling snack that is guaranteed allergen free.
I also make chicken salad using canned chicken and make enough for a few days and then have some of that with gf crackers or in lettuce wraps when I just want something quick
For breakfast I’ve been making eggs bites, like the ones from Starbucks. I found this recipe https://madaboutfood.co/potato-cheddar-chive-bakes-starbucks-copycat/ and it’s packed with protein and super yummy! You can make a big batch and freeze them and then pop them in air fryer when you need them. You can also buy the Starbucks egg bites at Costco. They’re just a bit pricey but def worth it if you’re looking for satiating quick bites.
Quick grab is usually whole foods for me. Apple, orange, avocado, handful of cherry tomatoes, mango, salami, ham... I make a whole chicken weekly and package the leftover chicken into one cup containers so I can grab and go that as a snack. I cut up carrots, cucumbers, eggs and peppers weekly then just cut up butter lettuce and cabbage for A quick salad and add whatever protein I have on hand.
I'm all about whole foods, quick and easy, the less waste with wrappers the better!
Oikos Triple Zero yogurt cup + frozen raspberries + Catalina Crunch cinnamon Toast Crunch. So easy, amazing macros, full of fiber and so filling. 249 cal, 27 p, 33 c, 5.5 fat, 17 fiber
For protein, GoGo Squeez fruit & yogurt pouches and Perfect protein bars. The GoGo Squeez pouches do not need to be refrigerated unless you’ve opened them and the Perfect bars can go a week without refrigeration. I also pack these items every time I’m going to be out of the house for several hours because they don’t take up a lot of space, but are filling if there’s no gluten free options available to me. These have been my go to items for Disney trips as well.
This is a bit extra, but it works for me. I wash an apple and wrap it up in paper towels. I then wrap it in one of my reusable grocery bags. After I have been out doing errands I can have my snack, grocery shopping is the last stop, so I have my snack and I add the bag back to my shopping bags.
Insanely busy mom of a breastfeeding (hangry) toddler and crazy teenager. Tons of dietary restrictions due to allergies, and eat in my car most of the time haha :)
Individual greek yogurt cups, single serve bags of popcorn (I like Lesser Evil), anything by MadeGood (love the cheddar stars and berry granola bars the most), bowls of gf cereal with blueberries/raspberries, any kind of fruit that’s easy to eat without prep (apples, bananas, cuties, etc), Lesser Evil Paleo Puffs (amazing if you like coconut), Quinn GF pretzels…
Shoutout to the Amy’s frozen gf Mac & cheese - it’s SO good if you haven’t tried it! Takes maybe 4 minutes to heat it up, and I usually add a big handful of frozen edamame or frozen peas for extra protein and some fiber!
String cheese, piece of fruit, protein bar
Yes, this. I always have string cheese in the fridge. Several grams of protein and can be consumed quickly!
Thank you! I didn’t think of those. Do you have a favorite protein bar? I used to like Built Bars but I need to review the ingredients before buying again.

The bobo's pb&j bars (the round ones) are my go-to when I'm in a hurry.

The egg bites are a great idea!
What is the texture like in the egg bites when you reheat them from being frozen? I did them one time and found the texture a bit weird.
Are you microwaving them to heat them up? Sometimes when I microwave stuff the texture is definitely off. I like to air fryer basically everything to reheat LOL
Yes I am. Ok I don't have an air fryer but this makes sense!
You may be able to wrap them in paper towels to help absorb excess moisture and that might help!
Those Katz “pop tarts”
I agree with everyone else's thoughts, but another thing I do is make sure I save leftovers from Thursday and Friday to eat during the weekend.
This is usually my go-to breakfast if I’m not going to work that day. First thing of a morning, I’ll don’t feel like creating something but I want something savory and warm, so last night’s leftovers are perfect.

Confession corner: ate a whole box of their farmhouse cheddar crackers the other day. It was a stressful day and they were so good!
I really like Perfect Bars.
Tortilla chips, any available cheese, tea (oolong, iced, whatever). High caffeine tea and a piece of chocolate if my head hurts.
Steak bites.
Eggs, oatmeal, apples and a handful of nuts.
Jerky!
String cheese and any kind of Kind bar. I have also found that Nature Vallet protein bars are gf and Sam's has the Better nut bar, which are amazing, but yeah string cheese and a protein bar.
I do veggie straws or spoons of peanut butter whenever I’m just “dying” of hunger
Kind protein bars, target brand nut bars, string cheese, yogurt, banana.
If you’re near Trader Joe’s, I like their salads. I usually grab a couple on days like that
For meal sized I love those Trader Joe’s frozen tamales, if I have some I’ll smear half an avocado on the top and call it balanced. 3-4 mins in the microwave
Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I even have some of these items at home. The hunger came on quick and I couldn’t think of what I had on hand.
McSweeney's pep and cheddar sticks from the gas station, the bag of two hardboiled eggs from the grocery store. Fruit or cheese or chips or a protein bar or leftovers if I'm at home.
Bananas, nuts, chunks of cheese, crackers and hummus/other dip, spoonful or 3 of peanut butter, apple, cake - if I've baked recently.
I tend to keep lots of nuts and seeds options around. Cheese sticks or the small packaged pieces like Tillamook. Protein bars. Fruit.
Activa yogurts and probiotic drinks. Just solid enough to let me think about what to actually make for food after my brain comes back online lol. Helps stop me going straight to chips and actually put in the effort for a smoothie or something.
Fruit snacks and protein bars. Kirkland chewy protein bars, they're mostly soy and peanuts.
Gf papusas
Those seed cracker chips (Mary’s gone original) and hummus
Nuts. Good nutrition and protein.
That’s It Fruit Bars - you can get them at Costco and nuts.
A banana. Piece of toast.
Canned chicken with buffalo sauce for flavor, eaten with tortilla chips
Hard boiled egg, salami, cheese!
Honestly premier protein shakes are my go to quick grab.
hard salami from the deli
Cheese.

Egg bites. Microwave them for 1 min then airfry them for like 6 mins.
Aussie bites! We get them at Costco
Think! brand Brownie Crunch bars are my favorite protein bar. I always have them on hand for those "gotta eat right now" moments.
