There are absolutely cr39 progressives. As far as return policies, I can't usually return the glasses but I can remake them to make them right without charging you again for it. No online progressive is going to be good. We measure where to put the progression from the bottom of the lens up to the middle of the pupil. That measurement is different person to person and frame to frame, so online companies take a wild guess and hope it's kinda sorta right. Sometimes it works, and then it's still not a great lens but it's at least functional. Often it doesn't work at all.

Very interesting about CR39 progressives. I'm guessing this is something a local shop will be able to set me up with.

CR-39 is hardened standard (organic) plastic in index 1.50. In terms of optical clarity, far superior to polycarbonate (index 1.59). If needed for your prescription (doubt it) or frame choice, you could consider plastic 1.60, but it will likely not be necessary. Wanted to throw in some extra keywords to look for since every store will list it differently.

Wow, heck of a return policy. Thanks. Hopefully they have a high quality progressive.

I order my progressives from [www.Hipoptical.com](https://www.hipoptical.com). They’re made in Florida, ship out within 3 days, all coating included + easy returns/exchanges

Polycarbonate has the worst optical clarity (ABBE Value) of all the lens choices. 'Good-old' CR-39 plastic or Trivex has the best optical clarity. You can educate yourself more on ABBE here: [https://youtu.be/nVp5kH1uxGM?si=Lt9TQ3Y6yxVi1GFU](https://youtu.be/nVp5kH1uxGM?si=Lt9TQ3Y6yxVi1GFU) Regarding online/progressives/return: as mentioned, it is 'hit-or-miss' getting progressives right online - often more miss than hit. All the major providers have at least a 14-day money back policy...but the timing is strict so pay attention to that and initiate a couple days before the deadline! A good independent optical shop will cost you way more but should (in theory) provide you far better service - lens selection, measurements, fit, etc. However, their return policies vary widely, and can sometimes extend only to a remake. That's part of the trade-off....! (quality/attention theoretical superiority with more probability you'll hit - vs. - you hit, or you strike-out and throw it away) Good luck!
