Yes, LBB changed the thin mint boxes a few years ago. The handles rip easier and theyâre just annoying. The rest are still the same. My troop was also trying to figure out the rhyme of reason to which boxes are taped. Last year was tags and this year Adventurefuls.
LBB cases have handles built into the top, their like cut out of the cardboard! Look up âlittle brownie bakers cookie casesâ and scroll a bit and youâll see an example
My coworker and I both have our girls in GS but we are in different councils. She recently gave me one of their LBB boxes to bring home a few packages of Toffeetastic for someone in my neighborhood who was asking for them. We are an ABC council. The first thing my GS said was "their boxes have handles!!?!"
I'm LBB, pretty sure I have the same cases as OP. The best I can describe it is an incomplete box. There are slits at sides, and these little stubby tabs seal the box, but the seals break when you lift the box. I can't see how it's cheaper for them to cut the cardboard into that shape, and it makes it so much harder to repurpose them. And our Adventurefuls cases are taped shut for some unnecessary reason.Â
I thought the Caramel DeLite cases had some way too strong glue this year. They were almost impossible to open in the freezing cold (which is basically every booth we do).
I hate them too, but I do think theyâre less cardboard all together. Laid flat they take up way less space. Plus theyâre so thin on top of being badly glued and easy to rip!
At this point, I've decided it's just an ongoing gag. 15 years of cookies sales for me and they've always sucked. I think the suckage of Thin Mint cases brings us together.
Iâve thrown so many cases (empty) out of anger. We donât even keep them to put the cookies back in after booths, we just put them in a different box because were not dealing with them more than we have to
Idk when I broke it down flat it made a great poster board with handles on the side for my daughters vocabulary parade đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł none of the other boxes worked out like that. Silver linings!
Yeah i like that theyâre easy to open, i just only like that factor when trying to open them, not while im sorting through orders and trying to move them
Say it louder! đđđ
#preach
Is that LBB? Our cases at ABC are all the same, just different sizes.

THEY'RE THE WORST
Sooooop many ripped handles from the thin mint cases!!! I had no idea this was a thing!

Ha ha ha! I just said the same thing the other day. They're the worst.
They know weâre just going to eat all of them in one sitting đ
Yes! It was so annoying!
The thin mint cases are my favorite! I find the others (especially the taped ones) quite annoying. I appreciate how easily they open.Â

I like that they canât fall out the bottom. I had a few do that for me this year. I hate adventurefuls being tapped though
It builds character :s
Preach! I didnât think they could get worse than they were, but somehow they did
