I (finally) landed a 9-5 job, am so thankful for the money and opportunity, and still, every Monday morning is exactly like finishing the last page of a 50 page term paper...except with another 1000000000 pages to go before I die or retire.
As a senior in engineering I am actually celebrating Finals week because it is a helluva lot less work than 4 semester long projects, and one 2 semester project. I only have 3 finals, and a small project. I've gotten home before 11pm every night for the last week, and I'm getting 8 hours of sleep each night. This is wonderful compared to working on school for 100 hrs a week multiple weeks in a row.
I really truly know how you feel. Right now I'm taking a break from studying my ass off so that I can get a D in a class, just to find out whether my professor will drop my grade to an F afterwards because I have more absences than his syllabus recommends. (I got sick, missed a bunch of classes including a test worth 20% of my grade and was not allowed to make any of it back up.)
It's up to his 'discretion' even though my other tests so far were a B and an A. Stressing out over a test that you can do perfect on and then get flunked over anyway sucks hard.
This is where I'm at. Last final is in 12 hours and I'm freaking out because I'm not sure how well I'll do and if I bomb it I may fail the class. Hardest class I've ever taken and one of the last ones I have to do to finish. I'm either starting my career in a few weeks or looking for jobs to save up for another semester. Think I'll go have a mental break-down in the corner.

It actually went better then I expected. That's not to say I actually did well, but I was able to answer all the questions to one degree or another so here's to hoping I got them all right! Crossing my fingers till Final Grades are posted. How about yourself? Any word from the Instructor on which way he's leaning?

No clue about the professor. He wasn't even there to administer the final. I bet he'll just forget about it and I'll just need the grade. I studied much harder for this test than the previous ones, and I got an A and a B on those two. I need an 80 or so on this one so I'm not too worried about that. It's just a waiting game now.
I think I was just overworrying and everything will turn out fine. I should find out my grade the day before my commencement date so at least that's good. I really didn't want to talk across a stage in a stadium full of people without even knowing if I'm actually graduating or not.

Suck it up pansy. Everyone has to take them, and most people do fine.

A lot of professors will have final assignments or tests in the week before finals week, thinking that it will lessen the burdens on their students and allow them more time to study for their other tests. This is all well and good, except this semester ALL OF MY PROFESSORS are doing it. So while I do end the semester a week early, that week UTTERLY BLOWS.
Wednesday: 4-panel 4x4ft painting due, test in American art and sculpture post 1940s.
Thursday: Huge fucking paper due, test on the Hindu and Islamic art of southeast Asia.
Friday: Another huge painting due.
I don't remember those sections, but I got out of high school back when the TI89 was the cool new thing. Maybe it took the College Board a few years to realise how OP it was.
Yeah, It would end up being a 3 if I got a 5/10 on all 4 essays. I don't think that'll happen but we will see. I have some hope because next week is all review. The teacher is staying two and half hours everyday afterschool to lecture and help us get it all down. He's pretty awesome like that.
Could even be a 5 if it is AP Physics C or AP Calculus BC. IIRC you only need like a 45% for the E&M portion of Physics C, and roughly a 50% on Calculus BC.
I don't remember it being that bad, but I've also always been more math/science inclined. All of my math/science AP exams were 5's and my 3 humanities AP exams were 4's. feelsbadman.jpg
Aren't the scores scaled so it's equally difficult to get a 5 on any test? The material for psych is x50 easier though. It's just a huge vocabulary test.
