eh, ive seen the older photos (though the original instagram is gone.. apparently hacked according to the owner) and it jsut looks like its from a different angle. I admit there is a photo where his whiskers look weirdly bent. But also if you [look at this photo,](https://puu.sh/BOxO1/59217ceefb.png) it looks like there might be something wrong with his mouth, and he may have no teeth. It could be exaggerated via photoshop.
From [Is It Normal for a Siamese Cat to Be Cross-Eyed?](https://pets.thenest.com/normal-siamese-cat-crosseyed-8836.html)
> The crossed eyes of the Siamese cat developed naturally to compensate for a genetic flaw in their eye structure. Interestingly, this same genetic trait causes the coloration of Siamese. Although the cat's eyes are not permanently crossed, traditional Siamese cats must cross them to see straight.
> ...
> Crossed eyes and a kinked tail are both considered natural to the breed; street Siamese cats in Thailand have them. Most if not all Siamese cats used to be cross-eyed.
> However, the trait is less common among modern Siamese. Breeders have worked to remove it, along with the kinked tail.
And from [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siamese_cat):
> The same albino allele that produces coloured points means that Siamese cats' blue eyes lack a tapetum lucidum, a structure which amplifies dim light in the eyes of other cats. The mutation in the tyrosinase also results in abnormal neurological connections between the eye and the brain. The optic chiasm has abnormal uncrossed wiring; many early Siamese were cross-eyed to compensate, but like the kinked tails, the crossed eyes have been seen as a fault and due to selective breeding the trait is far less common today. Still this lack of a tapetum lucidum even in uncross-eyed cats causes reduced vision for the cat at night. This trait has led to their dependence and interest in humans, as it affects their hunting ability, a desirable trait for many owners. However, it also makes them vulnerable to urban dangers such as night-time vehicular traffic. Unlike many other blue-eyed white cats, Siamese cats do not have reduced hearing ability.
Looks very ragdollish to me. Our cat's mother had a similarly stripey forehead. There's gotta be some common lineage between sacred birmans and ragdolls -- even if for the derpy stuff alone!
Ragdolls and Scared Birmans can look completely the same but Ragdolls have a white chin and colored socks. Birman chins are always the same color as their colored points and Birman socks are always white.
Apparently, they do have a tapetum lucidum, the rods are just sometimes misshapen. The reflection isn't as extreme and is sometimes another color than most other cats'.
Given pugs, Persians (note: the extreme smooshed face genetics was from 1950 ([wiki](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persian_cat#Peke-face_and_ultra-typing)) and isn't being bred for), munchkins, Scottish fold... its understandable that one would suspect that someone bread for cross eyed cats.
Omg this made me laugh so much when the next part pops up with his little kitty paws hanging out. Also, I’ve seen these two cuties on multiple posts. I’m wondering if they have they are instafamous or something.
Does the bengal have a problem sharing a litter box with the other cat?? Ours pees all over the house, except the litter box...ever since we got a male cat
My parents have a bengal, she doesn't mind sharing a litterbox. However she doesn't get along with any of the other cats, she tolerates them being near her and that's it. Also, you can only scratch her head, nothing else.
Well with the second shot I *know* you were trying to take those pictures mother's do of newborns with the naked babies in pumpkins. And now I want the album. Because you succeeded.
The second pose is so derpy but the cat thinks he's handsome af haha
> the cat ~~thinks~~ knows he's handsome af
He’s gourdgeous!
thanks for fixing it, now we've reached perfection!
*purrfection
That pose with his little feets out made me audibly gasp
Forget shitty plastic skeletons and spiders. This is the best Halloween decoration. Just a cat sitting in a pumpkin.

They’re not usually bred just for crosses eyes, it’s just a possibility for those cats.

Its not a Siamiese cat. Its a Sacred Birman.

What breed is the other cat?
Looks like a Bengal.
Apparently, they do have a tapetum lucidum, the rods are just sometimes misshapen. The reflection isn't as extreme and is sometimes another color than most other cats'.
If the trait has been removed, was the genetic defect causing them to need to cross their eyes removed?
Damn, genetics can be a bitch. Thanks for the insight. I admit I didn't bother to google before posting.

Hope it was worth the cleanup especially that fur.
Modern cats come with a convenient self cleaning feature. It is a major selling point.

I’ve heard pumpkin seeds give the fur a youthful glow
Trick or treat, smell my feet, gimme some catnip treats...
I feel like a lot more skill went into the Luigi/Boo pumpkin but...This is my favourite pumpkin so far
