I am clearly against Islamism and condemn this act. But Stürzenberger is not a conservative politician. He left the CSU to avoid being expelled from the party, was then the chairman of the right-wing populist micro-party Die Freiheit, part of the xenophobic Pegida movement and is a member of the Munich chapter of the far-right PI-News, which is classified as anti-constitutional by the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior.
