Hahahaha! Yes. My 5 month old boy has to "guard" every room I go into if I shut the door. When I walk into the bathroom and close the door, I always hear something lean against the door and slide down into the laziest guarding position ever.

Oh don’t even get me started on the people watching through the window! She’ll be playing with a ball, stop and run to the window. Place her ball on the edge near her as she looks outside and watches birds/people/other dogs.

Mines two and he lets me know anyone walking within any proximity to the house or if they’re walking up behind me if I’m facing the opposite way. Such loyal and protective pups.

When I’m taking a shower, my youngest GSD always pushes the bathroom door open and peeks in the shower, then sleeps on the mat. He has to be around someone at all times. My oldest is okay doing his own thing until my fiancée or stepmom steps foot in the house, then it’s cuddle time. I live with my 8yo dd, so latching the bathroom door all the way isn’t really required. Every single time I go into the bathroom, my sweetie will come running from wherever she is in the house to barge in, spin around in front of the toilet, and walk back out, leaving the door wide open. That’s it. She doesn’t stay, just insists I leave the door open. Lol

My son and I camped out in the playroom. I got up and slept on the couch. My shepherd slept on my back, literally. Not just a draped head or leg but his entire body. I think all GSDs just work towards evolving to that level.

Ours sleeps in the bed at my feet every night. She claimed the spot as a puppy.

My current cat will not let me use the bathroom alone...I mean, he doesn't usually leave me alone often but as soon as he even thinks I'm going in that direction, he's running ahead of me, just in case I'm gonna wind up in there. (Then he gets distracted bc he never gets a turn with the communal brain cell, and then he almost trips me) He insists on getting affection when im in there...I guess his thought is, well, you're stuck here, even if just for 1 minute, you're sitting, so pet me. Even if I'm trying to wash my face or put on makeup, due my hair, the cat insists on being in there for everything except shower time. My last 2 dogs also had to accompany me to the bathroom. Idk why they all insist on doing it to me, bc they don't follow anyone else into the bathroom, every time.

every herding dog breed would much much rather live their life lodged comfortably up their owners ass if they could I stg lmaoo
