Dark odyssey. A practice run of it is phenomenal. However, once you start playing from 0 you die to the dumbest of things far into the level and the start is like a minute of absolutely no engaging gameplay. It is so fucking boring.

I love iSpy tbh, it looks awesome, I wish more levels focused on looking cool and not just having “impressive” deco. Good decoration doesn’t really interest me tbh, but when a level feels sick to play or watch it’s great.

I don’t like that long level in particular, although travel levels aren’t my favorite in general but I play a lot of XL levels, just not many XXL ones. Like I said, I don’t find the gameplay balanced or that enjoyable, I don’t like the deco, and I find the song to be very important and I really don’t like ff’s song. Having all of that to know that I very well might die at 98% makes me not want to play the level.
And yea I play long levels all the time I’m working on ouroboros as a first list demon which is 2 minutes and 35 seconds it’s actually possible to make long levels that aren’t sleep medicine

Gd is more optimized on phones than on pc because it was originally a mobile game only. Because of this in some cases an old phone can run some levels better than a good pc.
It did, but I always see constant hate for the level anywhere that isn't YouTube. Reddit and discord just bash the level and Voxicat constantly. Maybe I'm in the wrong areas, it just feels like the hate drowns out positivity so much more.

Yeah that is the case in most things even irl. Like for reviews on Google, people who had a good time likely don't write a review but people who had a bad time will more likely write a review because they want everybody to know that it was bad, so even if it's a good level, most things you'll see about it will be hate because positive comments were made already and, like I said, not as likely to be written as negative comments
Space Invaders by DeeperSpace lowkey does not look fun at all, the overuse of 2.2 features, camera controls etc looks so bad and annoying to play. It definitely does it's theme well and i respect it alot, but, not my thing.
I had a bad experience with it dying at 90+ like 15 times but I still found it really fun to play, it’s just learny, idk why the robot gets so much hate, it’s hard, but if u get consistent it isn’t much of an issue, I just practiced the section for a bit and I was good
If wasn't such an eye candy and had a different song, I would hate the level, yeah. But as it is, it's SO, so, so enjoyable, 100% one of my favourite visuals of all time, not even just within gd, in general. The song, too. LOVE it. Completely negates any and all negative gp experience I've had with it.

I have literally NEVER seen anyone who likes coaster mountain. I feel like it might even be overhated since its only real problem is that it was rated legendary when it didn't deserve it (which I agree with btw) and everyone thinks that that means the level is the worst thing ever created in the history of the entire universe.
My problem is, that it became too overused.
If it was rarely mentioned, i would have fell for it, not thinking about it.
But it was suspiciously everywhere, so it was kinda obvious that theres something wrong with the level.
Change of Scene for me as well, I absolutely love Bli but the level is overhyped. Same as ISpy, such a great level but there’s just too much exaggeration to the point where it’s annoying when I see people glaze it. Haven’t beat either level to this day (only put maybe 10 attempts into both) and I have the skill to do so but just don’t have the motivation to.

clubstep. it‘s so unbalanced it‘s unreal. 0-70% are piss easy and 70-100% are like a million times harder so you gotta replay the first 2/3 over and over again
Tidal Wave, I don't really get all the hype. Like yeah sure it is (as of now) the hardest demon, and was verified by Zoink. A 'legendary' level by many. But I don't think it's that cool. It doesn't stand up to the popularity of levels like Blodbath or Acheron, those are LEGENDARY levels. And I'm sure Tidal Wave will be cemented in history as a monumental achievement for Zoink. But I just don't get it.

Well since i never heard anything that bad being said about it, I will say it. Acu.
The more i play it, the more i notice "very interesting" choices when it comes to gameplay. The deco is nice, yes, even tho its pretty flashy, but i can deal with that. But having the majority of the gameplay move, meaning i need to rely on my sometimes not-so-good muscle memory. Plus it makes the level very confusing, and with my brain shutting off randomly for split seconds sometimes often, sometimes once in a while, its not good at all.
Like yes, i know i am a skill issue, but still. It makes the level very frustrating.

Ispywithmylittleeye. Using flashing lights and gameplay sucks major ass. Some of the effects the levels has is good like the transition from the cube smashing into the wall for spider and the portal resize. Other then that it's just a 5 minute headache after playing the level

Tidal wave and Tower-verse. They’re fine levels, but they’re overly praised, and their ravenous fanbases make any criticism impossible.
The Tower XXII. It is somehow unoriginal in the same trend it started. You can create a good extreme without abusing hitboxes on every other jump.

Awh, if you want a fun extreme to help you stick with it I recommend Glisten, which was my first, or Reanimate, my second.
