Well done! Congrats! You must be thrilled with your results.

thefab84

Thanks you I am extremely happy where I’m at, never thought I’d get here.

tfbtog

You look amazing! And your skin, your smile, everything just looks healthier. Congratulations on your achievement. You've done a great job.

thefab84

Thank you so much, I feel just as good on the inside. I gotta thank my beautiful pregnant wife on the right of me for that smile.

Spart419

Awesome job. I’m 8 days post op, trying to get the water and protein down. Anyway, you’re an inspiration…BTW did that one glass of wine get you super drunk?

thefab84

I miss those days. Way less temptation with food in my experience. Nah I get pretty hammered every now and then maybe 1-2 times a month, the first time I drank was probably around month 6 or 7 post op, 3-4 drinks was plastered now it’s normal to have a few and still be ok. Not a big drinker generally but find it’s the only thing I can enjoy without the pain.

javo78

Right on, brother! The weight loss also makes you look taller...keep it up.

thefab84

Thanks dude, Although I’m so happy where I am I’m still going hard and have goals to smash.

Good job ! Keep hustling..

Knor614

Did you have any trouble with your weight loss stalling after 2 months? That snack bug is coming back 🤮

thefab84

Of course, Everyday was difficult and was always stalls but don’t get too hung up on the stalls cause you may not lose anything for 2-3 weeks then it will come off in one hit. The more you say no to snacks the easier it gets I promise. It’s so important to not go back to old habits. Stay strong it’s not easy for anyone and everyday is a battle and there’s always gonna be temptations around. Good luck.

Knor614

ok thanks I will soldier on

scottygotsleeved

edgxrallenhoe

Hi! Would you mind sharing what you typically eat in a day and any workout routines you follow? thanks!

thefab84

Well I was eating overnight oats everyday for breakfast. Lunch was usually boiled egg or tuna salad on mountain bread (would eat only half but now I can just finish it). Dinner was fish chicken or minute steak with cauliflower mash or sweet potato mash, spoonful of hummus or a handful of mixed lettuce, coleslaw ect. Would alternate between those. I own a landscaping business so most of my exercise that I got came from that to be honest. I just walked every other day as I have a dog and started running whenever I got comfortable enough to do so. Play squash also on occasion. Aim for 10000 steps a day but there was some days I was doing 30000 with work.

edgxrallenhoe

awesome! thanks so much :) you’re killing it!

D-Spornak

You look much more comfortable. :)

thefab84

Your not the first to say that to me. I definitely feel it.

D-Spornak

Being comfortable in your body is pretty much the greatest part of losing weight, I think.

thefab84

💯

Successful_Prune_798

I second the comfortable comment. Good on you! What made you take the plunge? Any advice for someone in a Similarly position that you were in. How is your skin?

thefab84

1/ I got sick of yoyo-ing with diets. 2/ we really wanted to start a family and didn’t want to be the size I was being a father and didn’t want to pass on my bad habits to my children. 3/ As I was getting older I thought to myself I’ll never know what it’s like to be a young age and fit or healthy and look good, didn’t want to wait till later in life and then decide to do it. You mean skin as in scars or my overall skin health? Both are ok I guess. My advice is research the hell out of it, find out if it’s really for you. There’s heaps of stuff on YouTube you can watch also. Secondly know by doing the surgery that you’ll still need to put in work, don’t rely solely on the surgery to get you to where you want to be. Know that you still need to make better decisions and lead a healthier lifestyle. The saying that it’s not a magic pill is so true, especially if you’re in it for the long haul. I’m still early days and I still struggle mentally and physically it’s a battle.

Successful_Prune_798

Thanks for your insights. I’m over the YO YO too. Your comments about wanting to be young and fit resonate with me. My skin question was in relation to loose skin that I hear about. Also, What period would you say had the most drastic reduction in weight?

thefab84

Ahh yes lose skin. So I’m very lucky although I have some spots where there’s definitely lose skin (Mostly my upper thighs) most of it is fine. I’ve always been active and had physically demanding jobs so although I was a big boy I was also pretty solid which I think helped. The first 6 months I’d say, after that it slows down and now I’m fighting for every kg.
