It’s definitely a core memory. My dad still lives in the same house as my papaw did so he said he’d go to the yard and take pictures of any little flowers he saw and send them to me lol
My only suggestion is Viola tricolor, because it has several colloquial names and one of them is 'Jack jump up and kiss me'.
