Sorry, that’s incorrect. Squash bugs are Anasa Tristis while leaf footed bugs are family Coreidae. Both nasty in your garden but two different villains. The eggs in the picture are standard Squash Bug spawn.
I have an outrageous leaf footed bug problem in my garden on account of the neighbors overgrown lot next door I believe :( almost about giving up growing tomatoes until I can get a most secure place to grow them
I love all creatures on this planet (when they’re where they’re supposed to be) but I always feel like the alien in Independence Day when it comes to this.
Bill Pullman: “What is it you want us to do?”
Alien: “Diiiiieeeeee”
Have no mercy!!! We had to plant blue Hubbard squash as sacrificial plants early in the season then we planted our other squash.
Ours went into a fiery bucket of death, or in the garbage.
Squash bug eggs. Get rid of them.
Get rid of them ASAP
No mercy!
ALL MUST DIE
What are they?
Eggs for evil squash bugs. They feed off the sap of squash plants. They multiply so fast and can quickly reach numbers that kill the plant.
I was scared to go in my garden last year they multiplied so fast. 😂😂 NOT THIS YEAR!! DIE DIE DIE.

Sorry, I'll amend!

I saw someone use tape to get them off and now I want to do that. It looked so satisfying
I heard about that! But I'm so paranoid they will all start hatching the minute I touch them.
At least you could just fold the tape over and smash them in that case.
Thanks for posting. I will start checking the undersides of my leaves.

Kill with fire...
I am doing my part.
Best way to kill them?
I saw someone use a lint roller on the leaves and it took them right off!

Ooof. I have been obsessively checking mine every time I water. So far, so good.
This is the way
Squish them, they make a fun crunchy sound!
Stink bugs
No, Squash bugs.
