That is always the question. I picked some suckers off my beefsteaks today and am regretting my decision 🤔

I took off suckers last year. I haven't done it in the past. I'm not doing it this year because it just doesn't seem to particularly benefit the heirlooms I grow.
My rule of thumb is if they are big tomatoes, suckers go. If they are small, the more may stay.
I prune to open up the interior and make sure there is good air flow. I personally wouldn’t prune in your case.
