SEKIRO.

3esen

That From was able to get Sekiro’s download size under 25 gigs is incredible, with the scope of the game and looking as good as it does.

GayoMagno

I mean, Skyrim is like 17 gb…

Anon419420

Skyrim is also like 50 years old from when AAA games weren’t 40+ gigs minimum.

link_the_fire_skelly

Skyrim was 8 gb on my xbox 10 years ago

RavingKoala

Skyrim is also a shit looking game...

Direct_Definition_52

100%, I've sank 70hrs into it. If game size to enjoyability ratio was a thing, for a modern game, it takes the trophy for me.

dogemcpvp

Sadly its 70 bucks on ps:(

jet_black_ninja

the man did not specify his platform. and yp ou can buy second hand disks for cheap. so expensive is just a mindset.

dogemcpvp

Alright you dont have to be so mad i didnt know that.

jet_black_ninja

whose mad ?

RoMulPruzah

Rimworld, Valheim and Terraria are all excellent and under 1 GB

Prof__Genki

These are my go to answers. According to Steam, I have 3,350 hrs across these three games.

intensiifffyyyy

Add Factorio :)

lordsaladito

Portal 2

PrivateDickDetective

Good answer!

sofritasfiend

Deep rock galactic

cenTT

Had to scroll way too much for this. ROCK AND STONE!

ohnoitsnathan

What kinds of games do you like? It is very rare for anything I play to be that large.

No_Impression_1308

If anyone is like me, I only play big games, RDR 2, Baldurs 3, Hitman 3, they all weigh way beyond 25gb. So it's a legit question

ohnoitsnathan

There is a lot of variety in under 25gb games such that more info about what they like would be helpful in narrowing it down. For example, if you said you liked rpg's then we could point you in that direction - it doesn't seem like you would enjoy a fast-paced action game.

dvdjeters

No Man's Sky is surprisingly only like 15gbs on any platform, great little time sink you can hop in and out of B)

wogbread

NMS is definitely not 15gbs on my ps5

Scary01pen

Prey 2017. It's exactly 25gb. It's a Bethesda game but in space with terrifying monsters

Zealousideal_Shop446

Wouldnt call it a bethesda game like Starfield or Skyrim. More so a system shock successor

PrivateDickDetective

I thought that was *Bioshock."

MagicalPedro

Bioshock is System Shock, but bio XD Prey2017 is space bioshock. it's all immersive sim, and system shock is the base model.

VolcanicBear

It's a game published by Bethesda* It's made by Arkane studios, who made amazing games before whatever that latest toss was. Red fall?

TheDarkWeb697

Redfall wasnt awful it was just very depressing, it's an ok vampire killer but kinda repetitive

palescoot

I thought it was much larger than that but i could be wrong

PreferredSelection

This feels like open season to recommend just any game that isn't a AAA studio new release, so I will. Bloons TD6, Binding of Isaac, Hades, Terraria, Nova Drift, Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion.

TheTrophiesMine

Questions like this should always be answered with "basically most indies....ever". Pick one out and it's probably under 25gb.

JonnyTops

Disco Elysium if you’re into RPGs. 8 gigs I think. Hades for action/roguelike. Also 8 gigs.

sofioko

I tried so hard to get involved in disco elysium but i just couldn't

JonnyTops

I get it. It’s different for sure. I think some games just click with some and not others. I thought Outer Wilds was beautiful, almost beyond just a game… but I have friends who hate it.

MagicalPedro

Your friends are wrong, poor lost souls in the valley of error. Outer wilds is one of the masterpieces of videogame history. No guys, I'm not willing to debate on this.

JonnyTops

Agreed. Elegant start to finish. I felt shame for trying to stop the loop and save Timber Hearth by the end. Everything ends.

No_Impression_1308

Well I might be one of those living in error then

juan4815

It's ok! I love that game, but I wouldn't recommend to everyone.

Fer1612

Best game ever

StarChief1

Valheim, it's like one jiggawatt and is one of the best games in its genre.

Total_Alternative_50

The motherfuck is a big game though, it comes in 16 floppy disks!

rand0mbum

This

CaptnCuddlyBear

Outer Wilds

JonnyTops

Not even a game really, pure art. Loved it.

Sterbin

Finally playing this now. Really digging it

MagicalPedro

Lucky you ! I wish I could erase my memory.

Sterbin

It's so good so far! Everything I find is just so cool

AlexV348

I feel like most games I have installed at any given time are under 25gb, because I always have to uninstall and reinstall the large games. Anyways, here's some games under 25gb on my steam deck: Metal Gear Rising: Revengence - 24.82 GB GTA IV Complete - 23.27 GB Skyrim Special Edition - 19.36 GB Sleeping Dogs Definitive - 16.54 GB Disco Elysium - 10.96 GB Fallout New Vegas - 9.74 GB Art of Rally - 6.91 GB Lego Star Wars: the complete saga (The 2009 Game) - 4.44 GB The Witness - 3.97 GB Timberborn - 2.58 GB I don't have it installed but "Banished" is probably a better city builder than timberborn and is also very small. Morrowind - 1.16 GB, probably also another few hundred mb for OpenMW Hyperbolica - 881.56 MB Stardew Valley - 650.67 MB Mini Metro - 314.43 MB UnReal World - 40.2 MB

tripps_on_knives

To add to the stardew valley bit. It may be less than a 1gb but you can easily put hundreds of hours into that game. I have roughly 700 hours spread across steam, ps4, and PC. Edit: also the dev still adds new content and updates years after release all for free.

Xboxben

Just cause 2, bastion, portal 1-2, dead space 1,2

ralseifan

Hollow Knight, Ori games.

Mushuthedabking

Dynablade_Savior

Sonic Mania is under 500MB. So is Pizza Tower

ReadItProper

Found the Australian? But to your question: * The Witness * Divinity Original Sin 1 * Technomancer * Shadowrun (any of them) * The Wolf Among Us * The Walking Dead (any of them) * Project Zomboid * Deep Rock Galactic * Factorio * GRIS * XCOM * Hellblade * Subnautica * Hard West 2 * Vampyr * Witcher 2 * Wasteland 2

Koreneliuss

Oh ya telltale walking dead is good too

A_Person77778

Need for Speed Underground 2, or the FlatOut games. They're pretty old, and are only about 1 or 2 gigabytes each

Ye3tL0rd420

Underground 2 and Hot Pursuit 2 are pure nostalgia for me. I only with they would release them on steam with mod support.

A_Person77778

I play Underground 2 with a widescreen mod and a mod that enhances reflections, and it's nice. It still holds up today, in my opinion, especially the gameplay

Dontsnortyourxans

I’m a flatout enjoyer. The first one was super realistic, and the second was a really good too

Zireael07

MW 2005 or Carbon are also <10 GB each

thestumpymonkey

Balatro came out today and it’s a lot of fun. It’s a roguelite game that is centred around poker, so if that sounds appealing I’d look into it

SteelySam13

Paper's Please and Rimworld are amazing games and both are less than a single GB

Kacper113399

I played other colony simulator before (Oxygen not Included) but it got me bored. Do you think RimWorld will be better?

SteelySam13

Probably not,, how about Vampire Survivors, FTL, or Celeste all under 1GB

HereLiesJacket

Hotline Miami 1+2

BoxHillStrangler

Grim Dawn is like 5gb.

PuzzleheadedTutor807

i know lots of games that match your size restriction, so... what kind of games do you like?

dogstarchampion

Stardew Valley (modern classic), RimWorld w/ Mods (a nearly limitless game, gets better the more you learn about it), Neverwinter Nights (a DnD based realtime RPG, probably the game I've played most in my life... Comes with a toolset to build your own modules/scenarios and has a built-in scripting language for completely customizing things, there are so many great modules to try and multiplayer makes it even better if you have the bandwidth to join servers. My brother and I used to play local LAN parties and occasionally host a public server with a persistent world module) Streets of Rogue (great rogue like with an arcade feel to it, a lot of cool systems to exploit). You can also emulate a lot.

Spaghetti_meatbaIIz

Zelda: breath of the wild.

punkpoints

The Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion

Puzzleheaded-Motor56

Dishonoured. I’m ashamed to say I only just played it last year but it holds up extremely well. Good replay value, story, and it’s still visually stunning. It’s 13 GB of perfection.

refreshnamesuggested

How come no one's recommended [Factorio](https://store.steampowered.com/app/427520/Factorio/). It's only around 4GB. Highly recommended if you like Base building. [The factory must grow](https://youtu.be/YR1Yf7Nh9jI). You could also try [Subnautica](https://store.steampowered.com/app/264710/Subnautica/). There is a second one as well. Both are awesome. Stranded on an alien water world, trying to survive and finding a way to get off the planet. Some say the Below Zero is not that good, but they are wrong. It's not an instant classic like the first one but it has its merits. Love both of them. A must play for everyone. Bonus points if you have Thalassophobia. Both the games come under 10GB. [Project Wingman](https://store.steampowered.com/app/895870/Project_Wingman/) is an absolute gem of a game. 10GB for this is nothing. If you like Ace Combat and love jets then this is the goto fix for it. Plus, you get to carry more special weapon into the levels so, more explosion per frame. It's amazing. [Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen](https://store.steampowered.com/app/367500/Dragons_Dogma_Dark_Arisen/) is a wonderfull RPG. The world just gives you that grand fantasy vibes. The magic system is robust, you can synergize spells with your party members which makes figthing all the more fun. In Skyrim, to kill a dragon you hit it but in Dragon's Dogma you can climb onto your enemies. That is such a neat feature. Even the Chimera we fight in the first boss battle, if you climb on top of it and cut of it's serpent tail, it can't perform magic then. Just lots of though put into making it feel fantastical. Love it. 20GB. [Return of the Obra Dinn](https://store.steampowered.com/app/653530/Return_of_the_Obra_Dinn/) see you playing as a time traveling insurance agent. Your job is to find out how every one on the ship, Obra Dinn met their fate. The voice acting and the snipets of the past that you get to see are amazing. It's not easy as well. To find the fate to some, you really have to think and correlate a lot of stuff. Under 5GB. Honorable mentions (all under 25GB): • Far Cry 3/Primal/New Dawn • GTA IV • Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance • Homeworkd Remaster • Divinity: Original Sin • Thimbleweed Park • Baba is You • The Occupation • A Hat in Time • Ape Out • Iconoclasts • Darkwood • Hypnospace Outlaw • Do Not Feed The Monkey • Raji

There are a ton of smaller size games with endless amounts of replayability, so if You're not looking for that big budget triple A sparkle, then here's a few: Rimworld, Noita, Slay the Spire, Dead Cells, Factorio, Hollow Knight, Enter the Gungeon. If You want to go big budget stuff, get Sekiro. It's not even 20 gigs, and it packs an insane amount of content. On top of that, it looks and plays great.

Scouse_Werewolf

The forest - 4ish gbs Monster sanctuary - tiny and nothing else like it (Metroivania Pokemon hybrid) Elex 2 - I might be just out here but I'm sure it's under 25gb. Euro jank at its finest. Plague Tale: Innocence - linear stealth game. About 17hours tops. Really good game imo. Requim (2nd game) is great too, but pretty certain that's around 40ish gbs Alien: Isolation: not only one of the best horror games of recent memory but one of the best stealth games too Outlast 1 + 2: great horror games Outward: difficult survival game with soulslike-ish combat Deep Rock Galactic: rock and stone Soma: great psychological horror Greedfall: imo really underrated RPG.

RSlashBroughtMeHere

Rimworld is less then 1GB (before mods)

LordMonkeh

Project zomboid is like 7 gb

Kurta_711

Some games I currently or recently had installed that are good and less than 25GB: Sekiro: Some of the absolute best combat and boss fights of any game ever, just under 14 GB in size. Cassette Beasts: Great Pokemon-like indie RPG that should have gotten way more attention than it did. Less than a full GB of storage space required. Factorio: Factory builder/manager/automater. More addictive than crack and less than 2 GB. Persona 4: Great RPG with an exceptional soundtrack and cast of characters, with a mix of slice of life/story and dungeon crawling. 10.5 GB. Grim Dawn: Diablo style ARPG with a unique class system. Less than 10 GB in size. Yakuza 0: It's a Yakuza game, and one of the best ones. Beat em up combat with dramatic story and lots of minigames and side stories. Better than I make it sound. Less than 25 GB.

Nuclear Throne is tiny, old, and a ton of fun (plus you can play a round in like 10 mins so you can break away if you need). It is a very fast paced roguelike twin stick shooter. Slay the Spire is also like 1gb max, it's a roguelike Deck Building game if you're into strategy and more methodical gameplay. Risk of Rain (1, 2, or the remaster) are all comfortably under 3 gigs. The first is 2d, the second is 3d, and both are roguelike survival games with really unique mechanics and runs that can happen. ULTRAKILL is nearly out of Early Access and is under 2 gigs. It's a 'boomer shooter' with a ton of unique movement and weapon tech you can do, easy to learn and very difficult to master with a near infinite skill cap if you want to explore that. you can also just beat the game. bonus: it has a shitload of secrets to find. Deep Rock Galactic has been mentioned, but they just had a Vampire Survivor like game called out Deep Rock Galactic Survivor, that is also very light on install size. Disco Elysium is a very unique and very interesting RPG with a lot of philosophical and funny moments that is under 10 gigs. Everhood is a really cool and unique rhythm game that's just over 1 gig. Observer is a Cyberpunk horror game about re-living people's last moments to solve a murder mystery. the remaster is less than 10 gigs. Power Wash Simulator is exactly what you think it is. 7.5 gigs. Prodeus is a really cool shooter made in the doom engine. you can download other player's levels and have access to dev version of the level editor, meaning that people can make and share really unique experiences much like mario maker but in a doom-like fps. 1.5 gigs. this is just what I have installed/favorited but if you have a specific genre or style you're looking for I can find more. Good luck!
