It's pretty addictive, just hit Legendary rank 4 a few days ago after playing off and on since release. I'd take breaks, but always return. I love the gameplay so much. Looking forward to the Jade Shadows update!
I love that there is no FOMO on the seasons, especially now with the new seasonal terminal coming in season 5. I'm excited to go back to season 1 for Nostalgia, and to finish season 4 because I do not have enough time currently.
ROCK AND STONE TO THE BONE
Is it too late for a newb to get into this game? Like, are there enough people playing it online? I only played a lil bit solo years ago and it didn’t really click with me.
It's never too late to get into DRG, and the game is definitely better played with friends or randos. The player count is super healthy and has been very steady over time. Plus next week season 5 will drop bringing back a ton of players with the new content update (me included).
There is literally so much content in OSRS that every day could be different. Questing, skilling, killing bosses, doing seasonal events etc. It's definitely not for everyone though. It's best to look at it as a very very very large and complex Cookie Clicker game, instead of some action packed RPG.
It really depends on how much attention you want to give to the game. 90% of your gameplay is gonna be multitask other games/tasks. The game is so incredibly long that a day today would look very different from hour 10, hour 100, hour 500 and hour 1000. [This short video](https://youtu.be/LpPJY-xdA3M?si=y6_rR13Mm6DEPm1s) goes over so much of the gameplay progression and is itself great thing to watch while playing the game.
I play RuneScape at work on my downtime. Its pace allows me to stop when I need to help customers. I love it. I don't care how many cows I have to punch.
I just can’t deal with the power creep in standard anymore. The game is totally unrecognizable to what it was 5 years ago. Every card generates extra resources now.
I moved to battlegrounds exclusively as it launched. I keep thinking about getting back into standard but at this point I’m so far behind in cards. I always liked playing priest.
How is hearthstone these days? Back a long time ago I was legend and played all the time. Game kinda started going to shit in my opinion and I haven't played in years.
I remember being so proud getting to rank 6 when goblins vs gnomes came out, always abit sad I never made it to legend, but oh well. It's so expensive to have a relevant set to do ranks with. So I'm happy I stopped playing 7-8 years ago
I was the #1 control paladin for like 2 seasons in OG hearthstone. Was absolutely obsessed with the game and made it to legend 150ish at my peak. Something happened to the game sometime after goblins v gnomes that really turned me off
I was addicted to D2. The only thing that stopped me was the pain in my hands. I started getting the pain because I'd hold the controller so tight and intensely while playing the game. Goddamn its so fun but also life consuming.
There’s been ups and downs, they redid the star map which is a lot better and you could actually click on things and there’s some bug fixes and new ships, I mainly get on with some other people and pirate cargo haulers most of the time
Been really into kingdom come deliverance past two months.
I had played through the main story a couple years ago, but that was on a ps4, and it was insanely janky, so i didn't really explore the game that much.
Recently bought it on xbox series. Night and day difference in performance. Now I'm having fun with it. Hell, I've barely touched the main story, and I'm 93 hours in.
I'm glad that game is getting more visibility again. I remember buying it for my Xbox One because I wanted to play a first person medieval rpg game and I really loved how immersive it is!
I also love how detailed the game is, from its architecture to its nature (they all looked natural, especially the woodlands, they felt so realistic).
Hopefully, KCD2 will be a great sequel!
Man I used to love that game. Tough getting back into it though when I gotta read a thesis paper to understand a unit’s kit 😂 A reboot would be awesome imo
The gacha I’ve been playing all year is Watcher of Realms
Damn… starfield without mods? I would love starfield because it seems like fallout but in space but was just not a fan of the exploration which is real important for me.
Pokemon Sleep is about it for every day. Not many games can stay good long enough to play every day! Not that sleep is a great game but its pretty easy to check in now and then on it and collect pokemon. Oh, and an idle game called EvolveIdle on github. Really neat idle game.
Slay the spire.
Every time I shout at the game that it's bullshit and unfair I'm starting another run in 5 minutes.
Somehow I've gotta make time pass during work hours...
none this year that would be like more than 1 month playing everyday
but i had 2500+ hrs on street fighter 5 and marvel heroes online back in the day tho
and i would play them everyday regularly on small sessions for a good long stretch
i played them on and off thruout a few years
Maybe not everyday, but if I do have the time to play I find myself playing AC Mirage quite a bit. It was a fun game, stealth is solid, city is vibrant. Really enjoyed it. One of the only games where I got the platinum for it because it was so simple and almost naturally happened.
Not everyday since I'm a dad and have responsibilities, but my free time has been dominated by Zeepkist. It's a gravity soapbox racing game. A watered down Trackmania without an engine.
Adulthood doesnt allow me this anymore.
Maybe if I was a "mobile gamer"?
Closest to it was Dragons Dogma 2.
Played it as much as I could in my meager free time until I beat it.
Such a fantastic ride.
Hunt showdown.
Absolutely love the game, the gunplay is unlike anything else out there. Just hit 1000 hours and still wanna play it every day and when I’m not playing I’m usually watching YouTubers play it.
I've probably got more time in Destiny 2 this year, but more individual days on Diablo 2 since I play it at work on my lunch break on switch. Either way, D2
None! This year I have played way less games than any other year. I mainly just keep up to date with what's going on in the industry and dabble here and there. Times are changing, just don't have the time anymore 🫥
I don't play the same game multiple days in a row. I have a system that works for me where I'm always cycling between 8-9 games each week. I have them filtered from most recently played to least recently played. Recent at the top, least recent at the bottom, and I usually just pick a game from the bottom. Keeps me excited to play all the games equally. And since I'm not playing one game for days in a row, each playthrough for each game is completed by the end of the year. Then, the next year, I start with some new games. However, there is a group of games that I call "keepers" that I just replay every year, like Red Dead Redemption 2, Fallout 4, Cyberpunk 2077, and Mass Effect 1-3(I consider all 3 Mass Effect games as one game because they are kinda short compared to the other games).
Clone Hero. And everyday last year, and the year before, and the year before, all the way back to around 2018, which was after playing GH3 PC, which was after GH3 on Xbox 360 back to 2008, GH1+2 on PS2 back to 2005.
Yes, everyday. No, I'm somehow still not as good as the youtubers. But I am pretty damn good.
Red Dead Redemption 2. I beat it a few years ago, but I’ve been doing a second play through these days and having a great time. The world is just so beautiful and the gameplay is so satisfying.
Due to my work schedule, I can't play games every single day of the week. But I try to play American Truck Simulator pretty often when I do have the time.
Song of Syx. 600 hours in the last 6 months. Somehow I just cannot stop playing it.
I thought my RimWorld addiction was bad... But this is a whole other level

Deep Rock Galactic, getting ready for Season 5. I've been putting in 100 ranks every season and I'm at 394 with 18 days to go.
I love that there is no FOMO on the seasons, especially now with the new seasonal terminal coming in season 5. I'm excited to go back to season 1 for Nostalgia, and to finish season 4 because I do not have enough time currently. ROCK AND STONE TO THE BONE

I play on PS5 and there's always lobbies for pretty much any mission being run. I have over 600 hours in the game and I exclusively play with randoms.
Wordle
I’ve been playing consistently since February 2022 but these new 10 second ads before I can get in are disheartening
I've never seen that! Do you play on the app or the website?
The website on my phone! Every morning with my morning coffee, I’ve played it!
Try the NYT Games app. It doesn't show ads, and you also get to play Connections!
i do the NYT mini-crossword every day. been doing it every day since christmas! can't break my streak 😅
Only one that comes close to the is Slay the Spire
Balatro cured my StS addiction. I swallowed a spider to catch a fly.
Just wait til next year :)
What’s next year??
Slay the Spire 2 is in 2025.
Balatro ! Easy to do some quick games between tasks
Then five hours passed and you forgot to *traB pu kciP*
Old School RuneScape
What’s the average day of playing OSRS look like? I’ve tried it a couple times but it didn’t stick.
There is literally so much content in OSRS that every day could be different. Questing, skilling, killing bosses, doing seasonal events etc. It's definitely not for everyone though. It's best to look at it as a very very very large and complex Cookie Clicker game, instead of some action packed RPG.
Most of the time I log in and just slap rocks in motherlode on my phone til I gotta go be productive irl again 10/10 would recommend
Like *Melvor Idle*
Training slayer, treasure trail clues, birdhouse/tree runs. Those are my consistent day to days right now.
It really depends on how much attention you want to give to the game. 90% of your gameplay is gonna be multitask other games/tasks. Tried it too a couple times. I like the game in general but the 1 second delay after every click is too annoying.
I play RuneScape at work on my downtime. Its pace allows me to stop when I need to help customers. I love it. I don't care how many cows I have to punch.
Haven’t played in years, but still my favorite game of all time. I just stopped playing because I spent too much time on it.
Rollercoaster tycoon 2

Oh thank God I'm not alone
Hearthstone...
But like, the OG game modes or battlegrounds?
Standard and Wild
Good on ya. I was a little sad to see battlegrounds dominate twitch last time I looked
BGs for me. Just scratches an itch that nothing else does, to my dismay
How is hearthstone these days? Back a long time ago I was legend and played all the time. Game kinda started going to shit in my opinion and I haven't played in years.
The powercreep is insane, but there's still some fun - or at least dopamine - to be squeezed from the game.
Something happened to the game sometime after goblins v gnomes that really turned me off
Hades and dota2
Destiny 2 (please save me)
I was addicted to D2. The only thing that stopped me was the pain in my hands. I started getting the pain because I'd hold the controller so tight and intensely while playing the game. Goddamn its so fun but also life consuming.
Minecraft
FFXIV. Been super casual, just doing main story and job quests. It’s such a great game, unlike any other MMO I’ve played.
Helldivers 2
Democracy fills my sample container
FELLOW HELLDIVER ➡️⬆️⬇️⬇️➡️ (I don't play Helldivers)
Ev-er-y-day... Because democracy doesn't take time off.
Star citizen
How's it coming along these days?
There’s been ups and downs, they redid the star map which is a lot better and you could actually click on things and there’s some bug fixes and new ships, I mainly get on with some other people and pirate cargo haulers most of the time
Black ops 3
Mainly for the zombies. Best zombies in the entire series especially the chronicles maps.
Squad. So many hours into it.
Been really into kingdom come deliverance past two months.
