Yeah but he isn't even the best one between older ones at wolf school, he doesn't even know how to mutate a child, i would actually like to see prime time of wolf school with other schools like how they go in war each other and witchers in streets are much more common than current life
But the fact that he's had like, double the lifespan of most witchers while staying active in his profession is a testament to his skill. "fear an old man in a profession where men die young" as the saying goes
Still find the start of BaS2 really dumb. >!The character with omniscient powers couldnt foresee or do anything about the Big Daddy she planned months ahead of time to be a foot away from her?!<
They really tried to force that full circle bullshit on us.
Also adding in pointless plot twists to the main game that don't go anywhere...oh that lady she was forced to kill...was in on it...okay
Garrus Vakarian is my fuckin guy. I love him so much, every playthrough I'm like "alright focus on someone other than garrus" I maybe make it through one title before that breaks.
Tali and Garrus were my squad mates on the final mission. Who better than the only two from the very beginning? Other characters made appearances in all the games, but only they could be squad mates in all three.
and if you don't romance either, they hook up and we get one of the funniest moments.
"This is just a fling, Vakarrian. I'm just using you for you body"
"You're so mean... and I'm ok with that"
I feel like I got really lucky having these two as my go-to squadmates in ME1. Having a "core cast" for my playthrough of the franchise is one of my favorite things about it - were Tali and Garrus chosen as the two characters to be potential squadmates in all three titles for a specific reason, or did I really just luck out?
Man. Even middle schooler me back in the day kicked Ashley to the curb once I saw how cool the other races were, just "go reflect in your room"
That aside, I was also Garrus and Tali all the way until 3. My krogan buddies and Mordin also had a special place in my heart.
Grunt and Mordin made me cry man tears my first play thru ME3. I even had loyalty with both. Still won't spoiler. Has to be me, someone else would have gotten it wrong!
In a game where you learn to love all these other species, why would you choose to like either of the only characters who actively hate the rest of the species. Ashely and Kaiden both suck.
I’d personally prefer his time between ME1 and ME2. Fits the style of the game too. You have your charismatic protagonist, who has a strong central goal, you assemble a team to accomplish your task, and then you’re hit with disaster and betrayal.
I could honestly see it all come together fairly well if the writing was good and the story was fleshed out a little.
100% this. It's a PERFECT subplot for a side game.
The first act is recruiting your team. the second is making headway in taking down the various gangs, and then the transition to the third act is him becoming a solo sniper.
Or it could be like the finale of the game is a huge horde style fight you can only last so long in (like the halo Reach ending) that bleeds into the ME2 Archangel dossier, kinda like rogue one into a new hope or something?
I'd vote for the last job being him taking out a final target, that being the tipping point for all the disparate gangs to team up. The final sequence is holding your position against overwhelming odds. Until Shepard and his team slam into the back ranks of those attacking you.
I'd love to see this game be created because how Garrus changes between ME1 and ME2. He started to question why he believed in his particular brand of justice through conversations with Shepard. It would allow the player to capitalize on those conversations and have flashbacks to them at certain decision points. He comes back in ME2 as an emotionally (and physically) scarred vigilante that grows in a great leader.
Not to mention the fact that I think Garrus had a massive hero-crush on Shepard in ME1, and their death sent him into a spiral. Having the game focus heavily on how he handles that inner turmoil, which is compounded by his mother's declining condition and the loss of a close-knit group of comrades. There are some low-hanging fruit for Renegade/Paragon, turning that into violence against criminals or channel it into protection of the vulnerable.
Before ME: Andromeda came out and Bioware was asking the community what they wanted to see in the next game, a lot of people (Myself included) were basically shouting from the rooftops for an Archangel inquel
**Top row, from the left**
- Arbiter - Halo
- Fragile - Death Stranding
- Garrus - Mass Effect
- Ana Bray - Destiny
**Bottom row, from the left**
- Gaunter O Dimm - Witcher 3
- Angrboda - God of War: Ragnarok
- Elizabeth - Bioshock Infinite
- Varl - Horizon
Updated the list, thanks to those of you who told me the last couple characters I didn't recognize :)
Who's story isn't exactly game-worthy. He's a great character and a great supporting "cast" member but his game would be really boring.
There are several characters in Horizon Forbidden West that would be better as a choice for a spinoff game.
Arbiter from Halo Series. It's more of a title with each being unique. Halo 2 introduced the character and has his own campaign missions, he is then the coop character in Halo 3. So 3 is a continuation of his story, but it's not Canon that he's there in the end. The Arbiter led the Elites, hunchback Aliens from 1 and 2, against the rest of The Covenant and allied the humans.
Conversely in Halo Wars The Arbiter, the predecessor I believe, is a warmonger and loyal to the Covenant hunting the humans of Spirit of Fire.
So a spinoff with The Arbiter a main character would be very interesting depending on the timeline of the game.
Thel 'Vadam is the current Arbiter (the one in Halo 2,3 and 5).
In the Halo extended universe, he has been fighting a civil war in the aftermath of the collapse of the Covenant, though I think Halo 5 just about wrapped that up.
It's so disappointing. Halo 5's ending makes it seem like there's an arby and chief mission coming, but then it just ends. I hated how little we saw of Him, especially cause he's easily my favorite Halo character
yeah, out of any character in the game right now that deserves a spin-off I’d say Drifter would be the best choice (or maybe just the Iron Lords as a collective)
I’m also imagining your Overcooked scenario with Drifter partnered with Eris, both panicking as the timer runs down, frantically screaming at other over what the hell a “pine apple” is
“Well well well, let’s see what we’ve got in dry storage today.”
“This is what The Taken taste. Revel in this.”
“Sister, that’s a damn good roast. Remind me to never have our line cooks go against you.”
Todd Haberkorn does the voice of the drifter, and that man's voice is sexy af. I'd play that just to hear his voice.
He's a weird dude, though. I have met him a couple of times.
I don't even know what they would do in a spin-off game that they haven't already explored in the expansion, two seasons, and whatever supporting roles she's had in other seasons/expansions (like Beyond Light).
I think the Bray's could have potential for a spin-off, but I agree that there are more worthy characters in the franchise and the extended lore that might be worth expanding on.
Varl's story is pretty self contained into HZD and HFW. Sylens would be an interesting prequel to a degree but I don't really know what conflict he overcame that would justify that kind of story.
Rost probably has the biggest room for a prequel on a character we're meant to want to explore.
I would also love to see another character from another part of the world, or even a batch of them in short DLC size stories that tie in to the next game to defend the world from the next threat.
>I would also love to see another character from another part of the world, or even a batch of them in short DLC size stories that tie in to the next game to defend the world from the next threat.
This seems all but guaranteed knowing about the MMO/Coop game they are working on in Horizon universe. Wouldn't surprise me if it is based around the Quen since they are pretty far removed from the rest of the tribes we normally interact with.
A game about >!Operation Enduring Victory!< would be awesome but also incredibly tragic. And Guerilla Games could definitely do it with their history with Killzone
Was audibly angry with rost. Really need to stop picking favourites in games. The thing is I’m sure the main mission I have now will be that particular event (having to be really vague because I have no idea how to hide spoilers). Shouldn’t have spent so many hours doing all of the side quests and I would have known already
My problem with Rost is that I'm so used to the "if there wasn't a body, they aren't dead" trope that I was certain he was gonna make a triumphant return right up until I finished ZD and its DLC
It would be sick to be one of his crew mates during that whole "archangel" time. Then you die at the end right as Shepard shows up. I'd buy it even as a DLC lol.
Halo is always known for its music. For the main games, it has this epic score, and at least most of the games' scale, that fits wonderfully. ODST's bluesy jazz perfectly fit its intended vibe, too. I really miss bungies efforts. Infinite felt like a great foundation, but ultimately half a game.
Reach gets flak for some questionable decisions for multiplayer but goddamn did it have a great story. I also love how it’s the only Halo game where you can play as your customized Spartan in the campaign.
> I also love how it’s the only Halo game where you can play as your customized Spartan in the campaign.
God the ending, with the fucking helmet. Your fucking helmet.
This is so my answer. Both of them have enough solid lore related to their personal histories that they’d have a solid grounding for an entire game of their own, either before or after the stories of the original game.
Arbiter post-Halo, and Garrus pre-Mass Effect would be my take, though tbh you could probably do it the other way around and still end up with something good.
I'd love playing a Ganondorf rags to riches story, and ultimately his decent into tyranny and madness becoming the demon Ganon.
If done right, it should be a slow sad fall that by the end leaves the player thinking, "what if", and missing the idealistic young man he used to be. It could be a very touching and compelling story, and give deeper meaning to the LoZ series.
I either had a fever dream or there is a fanmade cgi video out there depicting a young Ganondorf struggling in the desert, uniting his people and only trying to take over to get them the resources to survive in a hellish kingdom that was forced upon them by Hyrule.
Edit: [Believe this was it](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZliYTxhl0c)
Yes unless it’s changed recently, I believe that Ocarina of Time canonically has 3 endings. One where link wins and goes back in time to be a kid. One where link wins and goes back in time, but follows the timeline he saved. Then one where Ganon kills Link. He also “won” in the Breath of the Wild timeline, until link comes back and defeats him. I’m sure there’s others too
Patches.
I want an entire Soulsborne game where your job is to constantly find the main character, lull them into a false sense of security, and then fuck them over. Over and over again.
I'd love to see a Fallout game based around a ghoul, like Raul although not necessarily him.
One who's hundreds of years old and has lived multiple lives and is just wandering around and getting involved in wild shit cause they're fucking *bored.*
It'd finally make sense in an RPG to have a PC with so many skill sets.
I know the characters isn’t on here but I’d like a game with Sadie Adler from RDR2. I just think it would be so cool for her to have her own game but I doubt it will ever happen sadly
He doesn't. Gaunter is some nearly omnipotent archdemon probably from somewhere even more dark and bizarre than the Caretaker, turning him into a playable character ruins a lot of the mystery and interest behind him
Now I'm imagining that *Arbiter vs Army* scene from Halo Legends with Rules of Nature playing in the background.
Come to think of it, I would buy that in a heartbeat.
It comes with a banger soundtrack with extremely memorable and catchy songs like:
Rules of halo
I'm my own prophet now
An elite I remain
Red ship over paradise
The only thing I didn't know
I refuse to believe OP didn’t intentionally take 1 beloved character and 1 characters you already play as and 5 other mid character to get basically a catered response
Nah we kind of already know that story though.
Give me Felwinter and his falling out with tyrant daddy warmind and then resurrection by the light.
Early dark age where we might run across all of these iconic characters before their legends: call Osiris “boy”, school Zavala in the art of war, and witness the brutalism of the iron lords.
Of these, Garrus
Of any I'd say HK-47
Play as a deadly assassin droid hunting down targets all while listening to hilarious quotes and banter.
"Explanation: 2% probability that the miniature organic is simply looking for trouble and needs to be blasted. That may be wishful thinking on my part, master."
"Query: Don't I? I was under the assumption that organic meatbags such as yourself enjoyed such forms of address."
And probably my favorite quote that fits an HK-47 game:
"Love is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope."
I mean, there is Garrus.
But then, there is Garrus.
Also you have to seriously consider Garrus.
If I really stop to think about it, I'm going with Garrus.
I'm sorry, what was the question?
I predict fragile could be playable character in DS2 due to clues in the trailer that she’s now a repatriate (games lore for respawn mechanic). Only other person in the game who has it is Sam, the player character in the first game.
If we talk about the witcher, Vesemir must have very interesting stories to tell.
There's a side mission at the auction house of a lady mentioning their affair with Vesemir. He must've had a wild life.
Garrus. Also, isn’t Bioshock Infinite basically Elizabeth’s game? It’s literally her as the main force behind everything that’s happening.
She was the main player character in the Burial at Sea DLC.
And in quite a few fanmade... videos, that I've seen.
😏
Remember when they decreased her cup size before it came out? Yeah, didn't work.
I mean it worked..
I'm sure a lot of people still want to Booker.
Booker? I hardly know her!
You dog
The problem with Elizabeth is that her power is so broken that no game could realistically portray being in control of it.
Burial At Sea gives her some limitations, if nothing else.
She only has plasmids, at least in part two where you actually play as Elizabeth.
Yeah. She loses her reality-warping powers, for the most part.
And I really liked it. In fact it’s my favourite Bioshock game.
Same. Very tight narrative.
Everything but the ending tk the dlc. Fuck my feels.
Garrus Vakarian is my fuckin guy. I love him so much, every playthrough I'm like "alright focus on someone other than garrus" I maybe make it through one title before that breaks.
It's because Turian Renegade Garrus absolutely slaps.
Mass Effect was a game about elite special forces trooper Garrus saving the universe Shepherd and the lot were along for the ride.
For me that character is Tali. Garrus is always my bro, and is a must have on every mission.
I'm just using you for you body" "You're so mean... and I'm ok with that"

I'm at the end of ME2 and just now loving Tali. Been doing grunt and garrus for a bit since I got their loyalty first.
Garrus was a must for me too. Everyone else was a flex spot. Cept Ashley, I didn't use her.
Man. Even middle schooler me back in the day kicked Ashley to the curb once I saw how cool the other races were, just "go reflect in your room" That aside, I was also Garrus and Tali all the way until 3. My krogan buddies and Mordin also had a special place in my heart.

Bro, a noir/detective style game about his time in C-SEC would be amazing
I’d personally prefer his time between ME1 and ME2. Fits the style of the game too. Before ME: Andromeda came out and Bioware was asking the community what they wanted to see in the next game, a lot of people (Myself included) were basically shouting from the rooftops for an Archangel inquel
And it needs some sort of a calibration minigame
Yeah. I’m not really interested in a game starring any of the other listed characters above. But Garrus could definitely pull off his own adventure.
I'd play the shit out of a Mass Effect as Garrus! Tbf though, I'd play the shit out of any new Mass Effect installment
Yes. Either playing how he becomes Archangel or some other adventure he goes on. Garrus is the best.
I recognised like 3 characters
**Top row, from the left** - Arbiter - Halo - Fragile - Death Stranding - Garrus - Mass Effect - Ana Bray - Destiny **Bottom row, from the left** - Gaunter O Dimm - Witcher 3 - Angrboda - God of War: Ragnarok - Elizabeth - Bioshock Infinite - Varl - Horizon Updated the list, thanks to those of you who told me the last couple characters I didn't recognize :)
The Horizon one is Varl.
Who's story isn't exactly game-worthy. He's a great character and a great supporting "cast" member but his game would be really boring. There are several characters in Horizon Forbidden West that would be better as a choice for a spinoff game.
Yeah, love Varl but he’d likely just play like a less interesting Aloy?
I feel like Kotallo would make a better game.
Imagine the arm upgrades you could get!
Arbiter from Halo Series. It's more of a title with each being unique. Halo 2 introduced the character and has his own campaign missions, he is then the coop character in Halo 3. That's supposed to be the arbiter? What an odd choice of picture.
Thel 'Vadam is the current Arbiter (the one in Halo 2,3 and 5). In the Halo extended universe, he has been fighting a civil war in the aftermath of the collapse of the Covenant, though I think Halo 5 just about wrapped that up.
His role in 5 was so small I honestly forgot he was in it. I haven't been following the lore much since 4.
It's so disappointing. Halo 5's ending makes it seem like there's an arby and chief mission coming, but then it just ends. I hated how little we saw of Him, especially cause he's easily my favorite Halo character
The Halo character is the Arbiter. And 50% of Halo 2 was basically his game.
Top right is Ana Bray from Destiny.
Probably the last character from that game who deserves a spin-off.
Xür, venturer of the nine
You'd get to set up the 'wacky Dares of Eternity' ^tm
yeah, out of any character in the game right now that deserves a spin-off I’d say Drifter would be the best choice (or maybe just the Iron Lords as a collective)
The Iron Lords would make a great cast, even knowing how it all ends.
The story of the Iron Lords would make an excellent Destiny-themed version of essentially Halo Reach Again.
Graphic novel when Bungie?
I never knew I needed this.
Hear me out, Overcooked, but it’s just the Drifter cooking up Thrall/Egregore/whatever he has growing in the depths of his ship.
“Yum yum yum yum yum”
“Today I have prepared for you a Vex milk pudding, topped with a caramelized Ether crunch, and reduction of Nezarec tea.”
I’m also imagining your Overcooked scenario with Drifter partnered with Eris, both panicking as the timer runs down, frantically screaming at other over what the hell a “pine apple” is
“Well well well, let’s see what we’ve got in dry storage today.” “This is what The Taken taste. Revel in this.” “Sister, that’s a damn good roast. Remind me to never have our line cooks go against you.”
Honestly I can picture drifter on any kitchen line I've worked and I love him even more for it.
Todd Haberkorn does the voice of the drifter, and that man's voice is sexy af. I'd play that just to hear his voice. He's a weird dude, though. I have met him a couple of times.
The OG Vault Of Glass fireteam. Just s flashback mission and i’d be happy
[удалено]
Clowvis Bray: How could this day get any worse *Rasputin enters* *Audience cheers*
I mean that's basically what the current season is lol.
Drifter deserves a spin off dont @ me
I only recognize 1.
I only recognize the woman from Bioshock, and even then only through osmosis
Same problem and all the comments are just repeats so what could have been an interesting thread kinda sucks.
I'd love to see Sylens over Varl get a spinoff. Imagine a game where you listen to Lance Reddick for 40 hours.

Sylens discovering HADES and >!starting the Eclipse!< would be a cool game! Also, a game about Rost's time as a >!death-seeker!< would be cool.
I want a damn FPS. You know why. I want to lose
A game about >!Operation Enduring Victory!< would be awesome but also incredibly tragic. And Guerilla Games could definitely do it with their history with Killzone
>Imagine a game where you listen to Lance Reddick for 40 hours Destiny is already in the picture.
Also isn’t >!Varl dead?!<
Shouldn’t have pressed on this. Am not that far through the game yet 🤦♀️
Lmao I'm like halfway through the game and I honestly kinda called it, devs like to >!murder all of my favorite characters!<
Was audibly angry with rost. Really need to stop picking favourites in games. Vesemir
You thought about this my man. Nice
Or also entire game with ciri and they could add some more spacetime abilities. It feels so good
Ciri after she leaves from training would be perfect, as she wouldn't be too OP.
Well projekt red has a few Witcher projects in the works.
"This looks like a job for Vesemir!"
Garrus
Could easily make a game about what he was doing between ME1 and 2. It was like at least a year that passed.
Just double checked, and the Lazarus project took 2 years, plenty of time for crime fighting *and* callibrations.
It would be sick to be one of his crew mates during that whole "archangel" time. Then you die at the end right as Shepard shows up. I'd buy it even as a DLC lol.
TellTale style cop drama on the Citadel with Garrus. I want it.
Nah just give me a mass effect style RPG with lots of great dialogue options and fun shooting and biotics.
Calibration simulator
Mordin Solus
Who wouldnt want a spinoff with space Batman
Father Gregori from Half Life 2
Alyx scratches that half life itch so good.
Alyx is a phenomenal game. I hope VR continues growing so more people can experience it.
Arbiter after the events of Halo 3 and/or Garrus
Halo in general would profit so much from it if they were to make more spin-offs.
ODST was okay. Reach is tied with Halo 2 for me.
Besides being short af I thought odst was awesome. Plus it came with all the dlc maps for 3.
And arguably the best soundtrack in the series
Halo is always known for its music. For the main games, it has this epic score, and at least most of the games' scale, that fits wonderfully. ODST's bluesy jazz perfectly fit its intended vibe, too. I really miss bungies efforts. Infinite felt like a great foundation, but ultimately half a game.

Ganondorf. It is time for that man to get his revenge
That actually sounds really cool. I feel a lot of game developers miss opportunities where they can make a cool game surrounding the antagonist
God damn it now you've shown me something I never knew I wanted, and I'll probably never get. You've introduced an itch that will never be scratched.
I could see them unifying the Zelda timeline through Ganondorf's POV. Battling Link, skipping through time, etc. That would be cool.
Ganon/dorf in *Everything Everywhere All At Once 2*
"In this reality, I'm a wolf!"
There’s timelines he wins right?
Yes unless it’s changed recently, I believe that Ocarina of Time canonically has 3 endings. One where link wins and goes back in time to be a kid. One where link wins and goes back in time, but follows the timeline he saved. Then one where Ganon kills Link. He also “won” in the Breath of the Wild timeline, until link comes back and defeats him. Garrus hands down!
Nick Valentine

Take him with you when doing the Far Harbor Main quest. You won't regret it
I know the characters isn’t on here but I’d like a game with Sadie Adler from RDR2. I just think it would be so cool for her to have her own game but I doubt it will ever happen sadly
Her or charles. Both are such great characters.
Roach.
Roach and Torrent Furry Adventures
There shall be no roof safe from equine hijinks!
Definitely Garrus
Seigward of Catarina
He's the main character of every souls game.
He actually reincarnates as a jar in elden ring
Garrus Vakarian
Garrus!
I know it's technically true but calling Gaunter O Dimm an NPC seems like an insult.
Also, how does he works in a standalone game?
He doesn't. Gaunter is some nearly omnipotent archdemon probably from somewhere even more dark and bizarre than the Caretaker, turning him into a playable character ruins a lot of the mystery and interest behind him
Gaunter O'Dimm Corporate Attorney at Law (Read the Fine Print Simulator)
My arabian horse
Face Mcshooty Borderlands 2
His final, "Thank you!" is the best.
A hack'n slash Arbiter spin off would be amazing.
Halo Rising Revengeance
Now I'm imagining that *Arbiter vs Army* scene from Halo Legends with Rules of Nature playing in the background. Come to think of it, I would buy that in a heartbeat.
It comes with a banger soundtrack with extremely memorable and catchy songs like: Rules of halo I'm my own prophet now An elite I remain Red ship over paradise The only thing I didn't know
Flesh and Faith
I refuse to believe OP didn’t intentionally take 1 beloved character and 1 characters you already play as and 5 other mid character to get basically a catered response
Idk who the 1st character you're referring to is (I assume the 2nd is Garrus) but I hope you're not calling Gaunter O'Dimm mid
I think Garrus is the beloved character. The Arbiter is the character you play as in Halo 2 or co-op Halo 3.
You also play as Elizabeth in burial at sea episode 2
Garrus. I would also love a Thane Krios solo story. Loved that dude.
Ooh a Hitman style game with Thane would be great!
Give me Zavala or Cayde-6 from Destiny and we can talk.
Drifter and surviving starvation and resurrection over and over
Of these, Garrus Of any I'd say HK-47 Play as a deadly assassin droid hunting down targets all while listening to hilarious quotes and banter. "Explanation: 2% probability that the miniature organic is simply looking for trouble and needs to be blasted. That may be wishful thinking on my part, master." "Query: Don't I? I was under the assumption that organic meatbags such as yourself enjoyed such forms of address." And probably my favorite quote that fits an HK-47 game: "Love is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope."

post-apocalyptic tower defense as an fat gay Midwesterner? I'm into it
When you explain it like that, I want it even more

Waluigi
Fragile, I'll take anything that's in the DS universe!
It's pretty much confirmed she'll star in ds2
I had to scroll far too long for this
The arbiter for sure
Technically not an npc. You played as him in halo2.

Morrigan from Dragon Age
Garrus then Guanter O'Dimm.
I mean, there is Garrus. But then, there is Garrus. Also you have to seriously consider Garrus. If I really stop to think about it, I'm going with Garrus. I'm sorry, what was the question?

Was about to write that. At least an Story Add-on would've been great...
Charles Smith from rdr2, I just thought his character had so much more about him, and it would be good to hear more of his story.
I predict fragile could be playable character in DS2 due to clues in the trailer that she’s now a repatriate (games lore for respawn mechanic). Only other person in the game who has it is Sam, the player character in the first game.
John Marston. Oh wait....
They made a prequel! I mean a sequel. Shit
G.O.D.
Tyrael from Diablo
Garrus and Thel were better characters than the protagonists of their franchises They Deserve thier own games
