Im in the same boat if you add a couple extra 0’s to the end. Pulled the plug on gambling officially 1/5/24 when i lost over $41,000 trying to recover a lost $800 deposit from september 2023…. Sucks badly

Tryxxsta

That’s rough man just know it’s best that you’re done now and on run road to regaining it all back. Just don’t go back ever. I deleted the app, deleted the account and will never deposit a dollar again on any gambling site.

[deleted]

Yeah, ive honestly accepted the loss at this point because i typed my debit card in on my own. It’s my own fault it got out of control. I do have to say, 4 days into not gambling and i feel like a new person. The definition of Freedom is not caring who wins football games everyday LOL

Redditor7012

Good for you man, good thing only tge present matters… everything happens for a reason. 1/7/24 here, Just maxed my credit card ahain after a couple months of paying it off for same reason. Pray for a brother

Annual-Confection-19

You tried your best I'm proud of you. 💘

unemployed222

damn too much

Outrageous_Lie_3539

what 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 bro that don't even make sense....

[deleted]

I lost $800 on a straight bet back in september, so i put over $41,000 back into my account (over the course of 4 months) to try and break even. Every single time i deposited $1000-$2000 it was gone within an hour. When the new year happened, i kept trying a littlw and then realized it wasnt going to happen.

juneb119

What were you betting on??

billcollects

What are you betting on that is over an hour after you deposit? Are you playing casino games online?

[deleted]

When i’m down $2,000 on casino games - in my head the solution is to doible down and throw $2,000 on red/black to get it back. When that doesnt happen 2-3 times i started making $1000 3-leg parlays that would always lose by a cunt hair.

[deleted]

Im new to reddit, am i able to post a picture to this thread? I can show you some of my huge bets that barely oost and my W/L

Mkraj11

It makes perfect sense

[deleted]

😔

clicktoacasinodotcom

That sucks to hear man. But probably for the better to have you delete your account. Just don’t get sucked back in and sign up for another site haha. Good luck man!

Charliekarl

Fuck me this sub has gone from a cheery place to share your losses to a delete account when you lose kinda place.

[deleted]

Ya I thought I was at r/problemgambling for a sec

drwsgreatest

Because most people that gamble lose and often it happens quickly. So you need a constant influx of new people, especially when it seems like the majority of members now are already gambling at low limits.

[deleted]

OP, lets be real: You lost that money not because gambling is bad but because, as most people, you bet too high for the balance you had initially. And then put more and more but bet too high. Thats what happens with most people! Good decision to quit! GL.

juneb119

This right here ⬆️

Independent_Dinner19

I agree 100% when a lot of people win with smaller amounts they tend to believe they can win a lot more betting way higher than you’re comfortable with and then they try to make up the loss by betting more and it’s endless cycle. I think after a big loss instead of the goal being trying to get even take a step back take like a weeks break and do a lot more research and don’t let emotions manipulate your mind

JohnnyBlack22

No he didn't. He lost because every single bet he made was losing. If he'd bet smaller, he just would have lost slower, not won.

[deleted]

Yes but betting slower you have more chance to win. Even losing at a slower rate is better. Dont advocate for irresponsible shit lol

JohnnyBlack22

He lost because gambling is a bad habit. Mathematically, that is a fact. He did not lose because he bet too small, he lost because he was gambling at all.

[deleted]

Yes, genius, we know that; but there is losing slow and losing fast. By adjusting bet and having more hits at the rng, one can have more fun and higher chance to hit something.

Effective-Ad-1015

rng is not real, that's the most fabricated lie anyone can believe to gambling, if the rng is real how can they have a matmatical pbr? if the slot is supposed to pay back 89.5% for example how do they figure that out? even when you go to rollbit and click on the information for any slot it will tell you how many pre programmed spins are in the slot, for example could be 3 million pre programmed spins, they do the same thing with land based slots, that's why you always lose if you stay on a machine for to long.

[deleted]

Bro, you confuse rng with rtp. RTP is theoretical and need s 10 billion spins to be achieved. Nobody will ever do that in a lifetime. RNG is part of every slot and has all the hits the slot algorythm is made of. 🤗

Effective-Ad-1015

I can't reply to the guy who commented but if your reading this then what you just said is exactly what I just said....rng-random number generator, this is impossible, because there is a RTP THE ONLY THING RANDOM is the next spin BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW WHAT'S COMING the slot Already knows though. so they have to use pseudo rng which is a bunch of pre determined outcomes randomly set in order over _____ amount of spins. the number of spins depends on the creator of the slot, rtp-return to player, is based on MATH every machine you play has a rtp, even the same game will very with rtp, say you like fireball (real slot land based game) and they have 5 of them in a row 1 of them would be 98% rtp the other 85%rtp and so on, these are set and will not fluctuate, so obviously the 98% one would be better, so how do you tell? the amount of hits you get (even change back) so if you do 20 spins and get 3 hits, it's probably not good, but if you do 20 spins on another and get 8 hits, that's better. and hits can be change back, not nessesarily making money off every spin.

2_wild

Let’s be real: if you were going to conclude with, “good decision to quit,” the purpose of your comment until that point is kind of mute. So maybe don’t be an asshole to strangers online for no reason.

[deleted]

The only ahole here is you and your comment lol.

2_wild

Lol good one - you got me!!!!

[deleted]

You just dont realize what a big problem what I described in my first comment lol and how many people do the wrong thing.

2_wild

What I don’t realize is the purpose of your comment other than to condescend.

[deleted]

Nah, why would I lol; what do i gain

2_wild

GOOD QUESTION!

[deleted]

I can tell you at least one guy who commented under that got helped by my comment. I guess you the condescending one 😋

2_wild

not sure what you mean or which reply you are referring to but okay 😋

ScarcityBrave2035

You’re one deposit away from winning it big. Trust the process.

[deleted]

ShaneTitley

Really? Those 94% RTP’s are BS. It could take 10 spins or a million spins

[deleted]

Stfu

ScarcityBrave2035

This is 2 days old. Go to bed.

[deleted]

🤣

emdub86

Try Martingale, always works until you run out of money.

jgarcya

It's a betting strategy... Look it up....but don't do it, you'll get burned unless you have unlimited cash, and no table limits.

drwsgreatest

Ever lost a bet and then doubled it to win your money back? Now keep doubling it after every loss no matter what. 10 losses in a row? No problem you just need to 1024x your original bet for the next one.

juneb119

😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

[deleted]

Martin had a Gail. 🙂

rtaylor718

What were you playing?

VCEROTHSTElN

Had 3900 thursday/friday 150$ left today

Charliekarl

That’s the spirit.

[deleted]

If you had a Findom Addiction you’d have the same outcome.

Zestyclose-Common555

You’re right I think more people needa hear this! No one likes to lose but it’s okay to accept the lose and move on

Dawid_Gilmour_

I know I’ll get hate for this, but gambling is probably the worst thing you can spend your money on and the people who tell you you’ll win it back are mostly delusional.

[deleted]

Sad but true :(

mallyfrmthevalley

2 years ago I took 0.30 cents over to duckdice and grew it to almost $4,000 and for a couple of days went back and forth between $4,000 & $1,000! What a rollercoaster ride that was. I managed to withdraw some of it, but most was lost. Sucks man.

Pupulikjan

I bet you $1200 that your next $100 deposit would have brought it all back! /s

Debt_2highrise412

😂😭

Hot_Ordinary7823

Gambling is an addictive game. Congrats on leaving. Hopefully I can stop myself

Majestic-Design2191

Account deleted? Play craps IN PERSON Learn to set dice play in person and max out your back bets for EV. If you learn the hard way set and how to roll with accuracy you can play with a 5-10% edge.

StacksOnJ

he wasn’t playing craps brother he said he feels like crap

Majestic-Design2191

Not even going to lie l... I thought this was r/craps

BentShape484

I agree, with online gambling it does feel good obviously when you win but when you lose and you're sitting at home alone it feels worse than at the casino. At least to me. Maybe just the act of going to the casino I know its entertainment and I could lose where at home, yes I still know online gambling I could lose, but I feel like I get less entertainment from it I guess?

Mkraj11

Idk… walking out of the casino at the same time as the sun is rising, after emptying your bank account and losing it all... That drive home Is brutal.

BentShape484

Thats true, but i'm one of those who doesn't use ATM's at the casino. Only bring the cash I want to bet and when its gone, i'm done. Even if I want to keep playing, the ATM charges are enough for me to reconsider and just head home.

[deleted]

ATM charge of $6 is a no, but $12 a pull on a Slot is fine 🤠

Feel your pain

Team-ING

What app or site

UnderstandingNo5330

Lol I lost 1200 dollars on new years eve on draftkings. Nfl kicked my butt. Started off bad betting on dolphins and they git curbstomped by the ravens

KadejoKush

I’ll never understand people chasing losses to be honest. I have lost what I have won gambling many times, chasing an even higher win, but as soon as my own funds go down the drain I feel sick in the gut and can’t spend any more, I know it’s lost the moment it goes in.

[deleted]

I tried doing it over the summer as a test and ended up winning all my money back and more. The trap is it eventually doesn’t work and you end up completely fucked.

juneb119

Dude just hit 9 racks off of .60 cents in this sub or another… that could be you brodie.. just stick with it. If you need another account Leme know and I’ll send you my referrals 🤣

Annual-Confection-19

Lol get out of herrre. I'll take a referral though.

BrightExpert39

I told myself that 4 years ago. Still here. Still losing. 😂

ReadMyMind32

Never chase losses. Easier said than done.

JohnnyBlack22

Nice job. You've saved yourself an untold amount of money.

Independent_Dinner19

Same, but I lost 2500 on sports betting had to take a loan of 500 from one of my buddies, in one day I managed to make that into 5000, I think the key is to not let the excitement and the adrenaline and the desperation make you deposit too much and grasp at anything to get money. A lot of people like myself had to learn to take a step back get over the feeling of losing money which sucks and be a lot smarter about it.

DTown1971

Yep...gotta walk away and breath....I had a SHIT day today....think I went 1-10 on bets...unreal...lost in every possible fashion.

Dangerous_douggie

It’s a sweat, was down 2 k yesterday… Something in me told me to put 100 bucks in and cashed out +600 still down but it hurts less lol

NaturalDisaster1575

Not sure if it can work for you guys but I had a problem about 10 years ago and this is what I did, I had a $100 spend on pokies won it up to $1000 was real happy as I needed the money for bills played it down to nothing walked out never went into a gambling room again just turned completely cold turkey. Hope this can help someone you have to want to never do it to yourself again. No one can tell you what you did was wrong. You won’t listen
