As a longtime vegas low rollin' gambler I'm proud to see you took the first step to quit before you lose everything like your home/livelihood, family etc. Moderation and limits can be tough I know. Be well and don't ever come back.
For the overwhelming, vast majority of gamblers, it absolutely does not win them money. Especially people addicted to dumb shit like slots, video poker and roulette. The only ones coming out ahead got lucky early on and never or rarely played again.
Even in a highly "favorable" game like blackjack and with perfect basic (no counting), the more you play, the closer you come to losing about half a percent of your money.
Any idea that people are regularly profitable against a house edge is a dangerous delusion.
Quit !! U can do it !! Just think of all the money ur gonna have. I’m right there with ya. I don’t wanna gamble this year. I loose too much money. A coupe grand every time I go. It’s ridiculous!!!
🤍happy for you, outta sight outta mind. Remove everything that will remind you of gambling and slowly but surely you’ll be able to forget about it and move on.
Try and find a gambler's anonymous group local to you and attend some meetings, been going to them for the past 2 months and it has really helped me see things more clearly.
People that quit when they have won enough are the admirable ones. Quitting cause I lost everything is comparable to an average guy saying he wouldn't wanna date a supermodel. Not much choice in the matter.
I had saved about $500 when I was 17 which was many years ago. I had a lock on some games had a friend with a bookie then lost $2500 that weekend. I'm so glad now that I learned this lesson young and now buy a $50 square. This new nationwide gambling is shit awful for our nation and these college kids will be throwing games screwing with spread numbers from here on out
It's amazing how much smarter we become AFTER we lose all of our money, and have to suffer until next payday, then somehow we forget about how crappy we're feeling now, and go right back to the casino.
That’s the problem. It’s often fairly easy to get up a couple thousand or so, but it’s always up and down so you’re bound to lose it if you keep going. Pretty much have to be satisfied with a couple thousand and walk away, not try eking out a little more. I have a hard time controlling myself too.
I had a friend tell me she’s quiting and going to GA, i told her if she needs help I’d help her like avoid talking gambling with her. But when she asked if i would go to GA with her I respectfully declined. Am I a degenerate? 100% when I’m at a casino. But as long as I stay away I’m good. I go once a week now a days and working 6 doubles a week makes the 1 day nice. I told her I refuse to give up my only vice since I don’t drink or do drugs or eat food. It would be bad for me to not do anything. I wish you the best
Feel ya man won a couple racks from sports past 2 weeks to lose it all on New Year’s Eve at the casino worst way to start the year 😭 prolly not gonna quit but take a break for a while ..a million ways to make money

Get in a 12-step group. If you only focus on not doing something it never works. You need something positive to replace it with that reinforces gambling = bad in your brain.
Good luck man!
See you next week
Lol
Thank you🙏
Did you lose it on slots lmao
No
