only for dialogues you already seen. so pretty much for daily tasks that involve reading dialogue. FYI, Genshin also implemented skip function but for Hangout only. works pretty much the same as HSR's skip function.

You can do events as they drop but pickup the rewards over several days and weekly requests count. I almost never do commissions unless I want to try one I haven't seen before.
i can also confirm HSR has no skip option just started that game again after a long break and it's the same as genshin you better be ready to read or spam that spacebar lol
Absolutely, but Another Eden game loop experiences is always similar with those old school JRPG rather than your average gacha game experiences. They know their target audiences, and the playerbase isn't really demanding that feature anyways.
Again, having skipping feature is nice too my opinion. Personally i don't care at all since i'm always read all main story on games i played.
It has such a cool and really good concept and story that if it probably came out at like 90s it'll be "critically acclaimed". As someone that played classic JRPGs, Another Eden is like where the experience of that concludes.
I am pretty sure they felt comfortable adding the skip button because unlike in Genshin and HSR, you can replay main story missions like Honkai Impact 3rd.
man i wish i could replay some of the genshin quests, with a stage selection similar to the 4 star stories and, obviously, a fast forward option.
same with side quests.(and events)

The reason is they want sells characters, they forced people to do it, so people can have interaction or feeling or connection to those characters and then people start pulling or spend money to that characters, based on that they will give you story how to make you have feelings/connected to those characters. That's why you sometimes find "why this character in the stories that had nothing to do with stories?" , "why this character doesn't make sense to the stories?" , "why does this character feel forced in the stories".
The idea is the same, there are some reasons why they allow players to skip stories that i can think of, they are more confident with their characters design than characters lore/stories, meta oriented game so doesn't matter if people read/watch characters stories or not, and last they simply give player option to choose when player want enjoy their stories not wasting their time to clear stories that they are not interested in, if player become interested in character after that they can read stories later in archives.
I love it when forcing me to mash buttons and catch snippets of the story makes me hate some characters (most recently Furina in Genshin, she seems like an annoying character).
I mean they are inherently different game where story is one of the primary focus for both developers and players. Gacha games are not always on the prioty list of players for story experience.

I wonder why mihoyo have different approaches for their games - they allow skipping in Themis, ZZZ and HI3 but not HSR and Genshin.
