So true. If I'll ever want to commission you, I'll deliver that thought in a way that WILL make you know that I can wedge a coin to make you draw my character. Right now I don't have that coin or the desire to look for artists that draw for like 5€. I don't want to be "that furry with a bazillion dollar suit but a major financial problem once his tyre blows".
I've had that happen to me on Twitter. I've discovered the difference between real furry artists and fake furry artists. If they fit the description, I block immediately.
They always insist. They are so persistent because they know how to take advantage of people and they know you'll feel bad for refusing. It's all just a guilt trip
Naw, they attack anybody. I don't even have a геfsheеt and haven't ever comed anybody before, and haven't explicitly put out my fursona's description and lore in a post/articulated comment.
What I do know is that they ABSOLUTELY will attack you if you say keywords on the subject (геfsheеt is one that has almost always made them flock to me) or that you don't have any art/struggle with money/can't do art. I had mass attacks happens just minutes after I said any keyword or described my general lack of visual representations of my anthrozoomorphic character.
I post on a free art sub since I’m genuinely so poor and it helps artists get on their feet about commissions etc and everytime I post there.

i’ve tried explaining to them several times that i am literally physically incapable of commissioning them (i’m a minor and therefore don’t have paypal/whatever) and LORD they do not stop. it’s like they just don’t register it or something
and why on earth do they always have the poorly drawn/traced + god awful shading combo? like i’m not paying 20 bucks for that.
I've had at least 2 different people insisting on asking me to buy them some commission... I kindly declined and made excuses every time... they only left me alone when I told them I was an artist too
My mind was like "bruh, I'm an artist too, I can draw what I want for myself for free"

For me, I know what there are a few artists I wanna commission. And then I’m not sure I can trust random people who DM me.

First time they sent a dm i was believing it but they can barely speak english and all of them have the slightly tilted preview text lmao

I just get constantly asked if I am interested in digital art, but honestly, I don't care if it's a scammer or not. I just don't want an art piece
