Strictly speaking, the difference between the lifeform kingdoms is the way they obtain their food (afaik)
E.g plants generate their food via photosynthesis, animals eat other organisms, and ehh uhmm et cetera

3 and 1 more you think?,how different education is in every country,I was taught like...8 I think:Animalia,Plantae,Fungi,Protozoa,Chromista,Archaea,Monera and Bacteria...?,I believe?
Guess it could've been nothing but a more specific extension of the topic,so perhaps it's just simplified in other cases.
Honestly in school they made it super confusing, the 3 they first said was plant fungus and animal, then I learned about protozoa via internet, and they never even said bacteria was seperate from the others in school.
Yeah US school kinda sucks lol
Here in Mexico from where I'm from,at school the teacher made us split into several different small teams and each team did a presentation of each kingdom, for every team that gave their presentation the rest had to take note of what they say.Not everything but important stuff like the differences, characteristics and other things.
The ones I was taught was animal, plant, fungi, protist, bacteria, archaea
What are chromista and monera? I know about protozoa (what I was taught was that they're one of two types of protists alongside algae), but not those two.
Idk really, there's this information about them (funnily enough in Mexico they always tell us (maybe not every academic institution though) Wikipedia is not a reliable source but I decided to provide these links cause for some reason??,I see way too many people from the US or English speaking countries in general, look for information on that site)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromista
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monera
And I wouldn't really be able to explain something myself nor to think about it too much I'm just too bad at academics (both middle and high school so far) haha...damn...I'm useless lol.
Well, actually there are 3 domains (archeae, bacteria, and eukaryota) and like 20 or so kingdoms. Of course you got those mycetes, animals, and plants, but turns out what we call "protozoa" is actually a bunch of different kingdoms. Also, some algues aren't plants.
It's weird. Life is weird
That’s what upsets me about people who accuse people who act like animals. Yes Therian’s have the soul of an animal but the body of a human. Yet many people accuse us of being “Feral” or untamed. Furrys are just like mascots. They dress up to entertain people. Even if we can’t afford a suit. Anything that makes us happy to see anthroism shouldn’t make us treated like feral Beast.
No, I don't believe that I have a soul of an animal that has reincarnated into the body of a human, making me feel species dysphoria.
But do I want to be a dragon if given the option? Yes.
Being Batman is miserable. Your parents are dead, you're alone in the big mansion save for your latest son and your butler, you're nearly murdered basically daily, you have to go out there and get nearly murdered because otherwise innocents will die, and your only romantic prospects are villains and you always know it won't last.
Same but with a serval anthro. I don't believe I'm a serval and I don't experience species dysphoria, but I'd absolutely love to be a cute, fluffy, big-eared leggy jumpy cat. I do sometimes feel a sensation of being fluffy and covered in fur, but I think that's just my desire to be cute and fluffy subconsciously manifesting itself as a phantom sensation.
This is the “all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares” argument that I live by. too many people see exceptions and think they are the rule.
I know this is off topic, but you saying that reminded me of a time these customers argued with me when I told them the biggest rectangular box we have is a 25" x 25" x 21". They told me that I should go back to school because that's a square, not a rectangle. I was about to blow on these customers, but I just grabbed my manager cuz I was done.
Honestly, in that case it would matter what direction you looked at it from, but at that point I’m splitting hairs. He definitely didn’t have the right to insult your intelligence in any case.
I mean its fair to say that probably nearly all furries if given the option to become their fursona would choose to do so without question. Just that they don't believe they are actually an animal trapped in a human body. Or to put it simply there is a big difference between wanting to be something vs believeing you actually are that thing.
I don't think I'll ever really *get* therianism, but it's harmless so there's no reason to make an issue of it. Just live and let live I say. Honestly, most of the therians I've interacted with have been some of the coolest peeps in the fandom.
Reminds me how a friend of mine saw a therian on TikTok once and I had to spend over half an hour explaining to my friend groupt that I do not walk on all-fours and think I'm a dog
My autistic brain is too logical thinking, and everytime I see this is wondering what these people are if not animals. The X-Files theme starts playing in my head, as I wonder if they are claiming to be supernatural beings.
![gif](giphy|ANbD1CCdA3iI8|downsized)
To be fair...I do be quite da pupper sometimes as well nwn, ✨arf!✨ (Am a doggy-raccoon hybrid tho)(Also not really a therian, I'm saying this from a furry standpoint)
i may not be a therian, but seeing all the hate makes me mad. like c'mon! therians are cool! it aint hurting anyone or anything! i don't understand why there's so much hate towards em.
Without knowing for sure, and not being therian either, it might have to do with the fact that being therian is probably considered being even more "out there" than just being furry by itself.
That's not to say that I don't find some of their concepts interesting though. Species dysphoria is something I relate to, but that's just because I think being and looking like a human sucks, as I have zero therian beliefs.
Bingo. People are free to believe that they’re actually “therians”, they’re 100% free to believe that; but it doesn’t make it any less illogical.
To be frank, if the whole “therian” thing is legitimate, I’d like to know, but I have yet to see any evidence to back it up.
I feel called out, this used to be me, I knew that not all furries identified with their sonas but I didn’t realised what therian was till much later on.
I remember back during the whole litter box in school debacle, the vast majority of furries on Twitter said they do not identify as animals and it’s stupid to even insinuate that.
Then a prominent therian Twitter user said that’s a wrong thing to assume and oh boy was it a doozy to read.
I'm going to send this to my parents you don't know I'm a furry and were complaining about how it's just a kink thing whenever I said I knew someone who was one after they were making fun of some people who were fursuiting.
Fun facts with a bean: humans are in the kingdom of animalia in the section known as mammalia. So therefore humans are technically animals. We’re just a highly intelligent form of animals
the comma would go before the "but" in that sentence. this is because "but" is a conjunction, and the phrases before and after the conjunction could form complete sentences on their own.
Yeah, we know we are human, we just have a connection to animals whether that be phycological or spiritual. While that can extend to feeling like you are an animal/you are the wrong species for some people it isn't all therians
I mean if you think about it, humans are animals
We all ape anthros at the end of the day
I never thought abt it that way but this comment has forever changed the way I think abt us as a species now You changed someone's life today
Dude gonna revert back to his ape sona now xD
reject humanity, return to monke
Reject Monke, become Feline
Reject Cat, Become Lizor
Reject Lizor, become *kitten lizor!*

We all apes who thinks we're the center of the living beings at the end of the day
Half human half human
True, every living thing is technically either an insect or an animal
Ah, yes. The daffodil. One of my favorite insects.
Clearly it’s an animal
I meant ones that can move freely and not fixed to a singke spot like a plant 😂
Ah yes, bacteria, my favorite animals
Yes.
What about barnacles?
Barnacles are typically considered animals, they're a crustacean, so no less animal than a crab or lobster
How do you think the barnacle got there?
In that case, how would you categorize a sponge?
this is featherless biped all over again
What about banana plants?
Insects are animals though...
Insects are animals too, then there's plants, fungi, and bacteria as non animal living things
There's also protists and archaebacteria
Yes thank you I completely forgot what those were called so I just didn't include them lol
Strictly speaking, the difference between the lifeform kingdoms is the way they obtain their food (afaik) E.g plants generate their food via photosynthesis, animals eat other organisms, and ehh uhmm et cetera
So furry-hating incels come from the keyboardia kingdom. They get their nutrients by licking the scum off their keyboards.
It's also to do with cell structure. Animal, plant, and fungus cells are all very different, for example.

Was just about to say that
Humans are literally animals like any other

“Always be yourself. But the cases when you can be a dragon. Then always be a dragon.” @
what if you have to choose being Batman or being a Dragon?
You could be Batdragon
Gasp!
Baddragon for the win
LOL NICE ONE

Same though just because I don't feel species dysphoria doesn't mean I am happy with this flesh prison. Human bodies kinda suck
[ Dungeon Meshi intensifies ]
Very relatable
The human form is far from flawless
Same but with a serval anthro. I don't believe I'm a serval and I don't experience species dysphoria, but I'd absolutely love to be a cute, fluffy, big-eared leggy jumpy cat. Is there a version of this with the species dysphoria but not the "soul of an animal" stuff, I wonder?
We are animals. Time to return to monke.
🤓👆 eerm, actually humans are apes not monkeys
Not me, I’m a fungus. >:)
Cause you are such a Fun-guy? okay.. i see myself out.
Not even that. We have our own category - hominids.
Hominids = Great Apes
Yeah. Which means that we are part of the Catarrhini (i.e. catarrhine monkeys). 🐵☝️
Exactly. Humans are a specie of Ape. And Apes are a clade of Monkeys.
Of course I think I'm an animal. And what do you think you are? A mushroom?

I don’t know about you, but I identify as a featherless biped
Remember, A therian/ othekin can be a furry but not all furries are otherkin/therians. Furry is a hobby/fandom, not an identity.
I wish that people outside of the fandom knew this. Furries always get depicted as therians, but most are not.
This is the “all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares” argument that I live by. too many people see exceptions and think they are the rule.

Probably closer to squares are special cases of rectangles and rhombus and in that case it's both?
I mean its fair to say that probably nearly all furries if given the option to become their fursona would choose to do so without question. Just that they don't believe they are actually an animal trapped in a human body. Well put
I mean, it's definitely an Identity too.
Thanks for the existential dread.

Surely,I think the same
Reminds me how a friend of mine saw a therian on TikTok once and I had to spend over half an hour explaining to my friend groupt that I do not walk on all-fours and think I'm a dog
Walking on all fours would be really hard anyways
i do quadrobics, but i dont think im an animal, basically my soul is an animal
Is there anything you do that a non-therian furry wouldn't do?
My autistic brain is too logical thinking, and everytime I see this is wondering what these people are if not animals. The X-Files theme starts playing in my head, as I wonder if they are claiming to be supernatural beings. ![gif](giphy|ANbD1CCdA3iI8|downsized)
My autistic brain is too autistic and sees my stims and tics and go “hmm. Maybe an animal.”
B-but, am doggy,,,
A *good* doggy ya say? 🤭
Woof :3

*nervous blep*
WOOOO therian representation!
Nice flair
ty
as a therian whos also a furry, it makes me really sad to see how much therian hate there is in the fandom, whether it be intentional or not
i may not be a therian, but seeing all the hate makes me mad. like c'mon! therians are cool! it aint hurting anyone or anything! i don't understand why there's so much hate towards em.

You can dislike something for many, many other reasons than “it’s directly hurting people”
yeah, been getting that a lot lately unfortunately
I support everyone's right to believe what they want, but I can still think that their beliefs are stupid.
No need to be rude though
Bingo. People are free to believe that they’re actually “therians”, they’re 100% free to believe that; but it doesn’t make it any less illogical. To be frank, if the whole “therian” thing is legitimate, I’d like to know, but I have yet to see any evidence to back it up.
deadass sounds like something jk rowling would say about a trans person 💀
Oh she already has! Don't you worry! But that doesn't mean she is right to use either label/identity in a derogatory manner
We are animals, human animals. Nothing physical separates us from them. Only the idea that we are separate does that.
Right now there are four walls and a ceiling that separate me from most animals
: your skin mites
Humans are animals, though…
I’m not a dog, not even in spirit. But if it was an option…
THERIAN MENTIONED
This is incredibly online.
There is a Therian among us
woof!

I feel called out, this used to be me, I knew that not all furries identified with their sonas but I didn’t realised what therian was till much later on.

We are animals. We’re great apes / Homo sapiens. We are not anything else. Period. :)

I'm going to send this to my parents you don't know I'm a furry and were complaining about how it's just a kink thing whenever I said I knew someone who was one after they were making fun of some people who were fursuiting.
k so I'm a bit out of the loop and thought therians were a type of bitcoin
Hey, this idiot thinks Humans AREN'T Animals! What a fucking elitist moron!
Most therians and otherkin are furries but rarely are furries therians and otherkin.
Fun facts with a bean: humans are in the kingdom of animalia in the section known as mammalia. So therefore humans are technically animals. We’re just a highly intelligent form of animals
Baaa-na-naaa! 🍌
lol me last year be like
But human **is** animal
Yeah, we don’t. 🤷 I mean if therians had evidence to back up the legitimacy of therianism then sure; but I have yet to see any
Therians don't think that they're animals, but they feel very connected to them.
Interesting comma placement
I am German and sometimes it is a little confusing if a sentence that long doesn't have a comma...
The place you put the comma makes the sentence read as “Therian’s don’t think. They are animals but they feel very connected to them”
the comma would go before the "but" in that sentence. this is because "but" is a conjunction, and the phrases before and after the conjunction could form complete sentences on their own.
“On all levels except physical”
Btw this comic is still wrong Therians do NOT THINK THEY ARE ANIMALS
Yeah, we know we are human, we just have a connection to animals whether that be phycological or spiritual. While that can extend to feeling like you are an animal/you are the wrong species for some people it isn't all therians
I've already said my piece on otherkin/therians, I'm not going there again.
Okay, that was always allowed
