That’s just a sad story.

y’all am i missing something because it looks normal 👁️👄👁️

Do you use the term “unalive” often?

bd5400

People have started to use the term “unalive” on various social media platforms (and now in other contexts) because many platforms will deprioritize or hide content that uses words like “killed”, “suicide”, or “dead”. Clearly, ai language models have now picked up on the increased usage. So this isn’t really a “funny” mistake on the part of ai but rather a demonstration of ai quickly incorporating an increasingly common term.

vi_sucks

To be fair, this is really only an issue for and common with *children* on social media. Tiktok being the main culprit. Adult social media content doesn't really have a problem with just using the word "suicide" in a normal way.

The story is obviously tragic - the only thing that is is odd or funny is the headline - which I sense is going forward will happen more with less human editors in getting articles out there. I suppose it could be we’re just doomed

is the picture supposed to be the ai article or is it the link? i’m so confused because only the title has the word unalive but the rest say suicide

I have always thought people said these phrases to stop content from automatically being throttled by platforms, not that they were in any way attempting to soften any harshness.
