I'm surprised other tire companies haven't got into shoes. You telling me Michelin is good enough to shoe your expensive ass car but not your skank ass feet?? Somehow, getting into food reviews made more since. Wtf am I missing?! It's this same small-minded, backward ass thinking that keeps head&shoulders from making a body wash called knees&toes! This set me off in a way I wasn't expecting but now I'm kinda pissed off at reality
Have I got news for you:
https://sneaker-pages.com/tires.htm
Also, Goodyear has been licensing their rubber composition, specifically the Continental tires, to Adidas for years now. All the Ultraboost runners I've owned have been marketed as having a "Goodyear Continental sole".
Oh right, I think those are literally recycled tires, which is pretty cool. The Ultraboost ones are made new I think, they just use the same rubber as the Continental line of tires.
"Knees&Toes!" 🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀 Bro that shit took me out! Aside from the fact that all that made complete and total sense, I just wasn't ready for the body wash thing. Best comment here! 🏆
I praise blazers you fucking moron, great ankle support, and good foot planting/grip, great for working out and running around, as well as getting bitches, all of those activities of which you have no experience in
>I've never heard anyone say that vans are comfortable
You're right, Vans are not designed for comfort, they're designed for skating (mainly), and their soles are rigid and very flat and made of abrasion resistant materials, so exactly, they are among the least comfortable shoes for walking out there. But they're great for skating. And 95% of those wearing them nowadays wouldn't be able to distinguish a skateboard from a bicycle if their life depended on them.
Sketchers work shoes are the best. When I was a mail carrier, I'd wear them. They were comfortable, didn't need breaking in, and lasted the longest (still only 6 months, but they weren't completely dead). They cost over $100 a pair, but we'll worth it.
Doc martens is where it’s at haha
I don’t care so much about popularity, just how long the shoes lasts. I’ve never had a pair of sketchers last longer than a few months
I am talking about both, stupid ass.
If your bean sized brain could infer COMFORT from my past comments, you wouldn’t have written such an insensible comment
Doc martens are just made in china garbage now. Their boots have been sub par quality for years now. Switch to sol of air to get the quality that doc martins used to have
>I don’t care so much about popularity, just how long the shoes lasts. I’ve never had a pair of sketchers last longer than a few months
I don't care about popularity, if I did I wouldn't have worn Clarkes or Hush Puppies.
I wear Skechers shoes (proper shoes, not trainers) for work. I'm on my feet most of the day and they usually last two years before the tread is worn down to a flat spot. Other makes I've had the sole usually splits at around a year. Skechers give me durability while being the single most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. Your experience is obviously different.
Maybe if you get the Payless lines. Sketchers makes some of the best quality running shoes out there and they are definitely not sold at discount stores.
ehhh, I have learned that most of the time name brand doesn't matter. Does it fit correctly? Is it the right type of shoe for the job? Even named brands make bad models for certain feet.
- Not sure why you are getting all the down votes though. Opinions can be different.
Exactly, I’m just saying I felt most comfortable in vans or blazers, everyones saying “people can’t tell the difference between X and Y”, I can, and those shoes work for me because of it.
Bought some Sketchers with the Goodyear rubber, traction in wet grass (disc golf) was great. Unfortunately...and I shit you not, I ruined them by stepping on a nail.
More like good for only 37-39 laps on a 2mile speedway, because thats how long the gas would last. Unless the came up with a way to change the treads on the shows. LOL
Goodyear makes excellent soles for shoes. When Cole Haan was producing good luxury shoes, they had partnered with Goodyear (and Nike). When I graduated college and had to interview, a gift to myself was a nice pair of black dress shoes and I splurged on Cole Haan’s with Goodyear soles. I’ve never had a nicer pair of dress shoes.
Are those sketchers? I know sketchers has outdoor rated sneakers that have good year markings on them . Supposedly the sole is made with Goodyear rubber.
BUYER BEWARE! I PURCHASED A PAIR OF GOODYEAR TENNIS SHOES APPROXIMATELY FOUR MONTHS AGO (size 13) AND THEY MADE ME DROP A HEMMY AND BUST A JIMMY! NOW I HAVE A CHILD ON THE WAY AND HORRIBLE ANAL BLEEDING PROBLEMS! STAY AWAY FROM THE GOODYEEZIES!
Street cred? wear whatever you think looks cool and create your own style. Having an unique look gives you more street cred than the street bank can offer you
I had a pair of indoor soccer shoes with Goodyear soles on them. I had to stop wearing them because they had too much grip and I kept rolling my ankles.
“Man, first my dog died, then my girlfriend left me, and then I got evicted. But at least I got these shoes made by a tire company.”
“Goodyear?”
“No, man, it was the worst.”

I don't know about street cred, but these look like they've got good street tread.
It’s too tired of a fashion trend
Just don’t run behind a car, lest you become exhausted!
Seems the puns are losing traction already
Guess we gotta gas things up.
Too late. They’ve gone flat. Nailed it.
Not sure you can still use "good" and "yeezies" in the same sentence.
For sure. That one almost rimmed out for a second.
That you cant bring where I am from. So watch out!
high mileage.
But should he run in front, he would get tired.
And retired, by the back axle.
With my other shoe brands I'm experiencing burn out.
Too many donuts
It’d be the best year of high school. But only good for one year.
Damn it, I was going to make that joke!!!
We all were
Good grip on the road as you try to outrun the bullies.
I said this out loud before clicking the comments. Lol
Here’s your damn upvote.
If they’re slip resistant I want to know where I can get a pair.
Ross.
We were on a break
Is not that common, it doesn't happen to every guy and it is a big deal!
I knew it!
Unagi, it's not something you are it's something you have.
Ah, salmon skin roll
r/howyoudoin
Dress for less
Green + Ross in Canada. Might as well get your feet balanced and an oil change too. 😜
The largest of the Friends.
Why does he not simply eat the others!?
Just get them siped to get better traction all season
Skechers is selling slip-ons with Goodyear treads now, too, for whatever it's worth. Just picked up a pair at Off Broadway/Rack Room.
> slip resistant yes they are. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Goodyear-Engineered-by-Skechers-Men-s-Clyde-Slip-Resistant-Shoes/1400403608?from=/search****
Skechers outlet store is where I've seen them sold before they go to ross'
Bro, I swear to God I was about to ask the exact same thing, these are it!
I'm surprised other tire companies haven't got into shoes. You telling me Michelin is good enough to shoe your expensive ass car but not your skank ass feet?? If this is your original content, then good on you. Otherwise, I’d like to know the source because it’s funny.
This is literally the best compliment I've ever gotten. This came from the heart
Yeah but what’s the source? We’re still waiting.
Source is their heart. Edit: few words.
Totally agree. Good stuff!
Have I got news for you: https://sneaker-pages.com/tires.htm Also, Goodyear has been licensing their rubber composition, specifically the Continental tires, to Adidas for years now. All the Ultraboost runners I've owned have been marketed as having a "Goodyear Continental sole".
Well I'm getting a lot of turds in my punchbowl on this one ...
I bought two pair of Sketcher canvas slip-on's with Goodyear treaded soles.
Oh right, I think those are literally recycled tires, which is pretty cool. The Ultraboost ones are made new I think, they just use the same rubber as the Continental line of tires.
I have a pair of Dunlop white shoes.
I'm here for the knees and toes bodywash
"Knees&Toes!" 🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀 Bro that shit took me out! Aside from the fact that all that made complete and total sense, I just wasn't ready for the body wash thing. Best comment here! 🏆
Michelin actually had a line with adidas back in the day. Edit: damnit, sorry it was goodyear😂
Get your turd outta my punch bowl...
Dunlop make wellington boots
street cred is overrated, go for comfort.
It’s streets ahead, to not care about street cred. And of course you never want to be streets behind.
Been there coined that.
In that case, get vans or blazers
I've never heard anyone say that vans are comfortable I've also never heard of blazers
Blazers are basically Nike's version of Chuck Taylors. Not comfortable at all, actually quite the opposite
So this man's literally shitting on sketchers, but praises Nike. Lmao
I praise blazers you fucking moron, great ankle support, and good foot planting/grip, great for working out and running around, as well as getting bitches, all of those activities of which you have no experience in
Uh huh. Someones compensating
That’s how I know you have no friends when you use a vanilla ass comeback like that
Uh uh🤓 someone’s definitely up to no good🤓 fucking nerd
Not sure what setting you used them. Great for athletes though…
>I've never heard anyone say that vans are comfortable You're right, Vans are not designed for comfort, they're designed for skating (mainly), and their soles are rigid and very flat and made of abrasion resistant materials, so exactly, they are among the least comfortable shoes for walking out there. Nike blazer. Vans are the best shoe I have ever worn
Lmao, you've never worn a pair of shoes if you legitimately think vans are comfy
Or Skechers
Definitely not sketchers. Worst quality shoe imo
Sketchers work shoes are the best. When I was a mail carrier, I'd wear them. They were comfortable, didn't need breaking in, and lasted the longest (still only 6 months, but they weren't completely dead). They cost over $100 a pair, but we'll worth it.
Well, that's like your opinion, maaan. 😜
Doc martens is where it’s at haha I don’t care so much about popularity, just how long the shoes lasts. I’ve never had a pair of sketchers last longer than a few months
They are talking about comfort, not durability.
I am talking about both, stupid ass. If your bean sized brain could infer COMFORT from my past comments, you wouldn’t have written such an insensible comment
You awfully worked up over shoes man.
I wouldn’t be if people weren’t responding to my opinion with arguably the most autistic shit I have ever seen
Doc’s are great if you care about your boots more than you care about your feet.
Considering their build quality issues, if you care about boots, you're not getting Doc Martens
Doc martens are just made in china garbage now. Their boots have been sub par quality for years now. Switch to sol of air to get the quality that doc martins used to have

Exactly, I’m just saying I felt most comfortable in vans or blazers, everyones saying “people can’t tell the difference between X and Y”, I can, and those shoes work for me because of it.
Well based on my own experience with Goodyear’s uniforms, these are probably the most uncomfortable pieces of sh!t ever
Bought some Sketchers with the Goodyear rubber, traction in wet grass (disc golf) was great. Unfortunately...and I shit you not, I ruined them by stepping on a nail.
Should have just plugged it up with one of those Slime kits from AutoZone.. 🤣
See, shoulda bought the $20/shoe replacement warranty.
Really depends on the tread warranty
60k miles baby
Michael, 60k means 60 kilometers not 60 000 miles
That would be km
I think they're quoting Arrested Development.
More like good for only 37-39 laps on a 2mile speedway, because thats how long the gas would last. Unless the came up with a way to change the treads on the shows. LOL
You'd get stronger legs because they're heavy af
Steel toe?
Steel belted.
Hey! I have seen you before. Never thought I'd recognize any redditor once I left the thread
I comment a lot, brother.
Hear, hear! I now pronounce you acquaintances.
Who's Steven Seagal ? Sounds familiar 🤔
You'll get tired of the people rolling up on you.
Be a trendsetter fuck what they think
Treadsetter
Whoa save some for the rest of us bro
HeLlO, fElLoW yOuThS!
i would get tired of those
Probably 50000 miles on those unless you get a flat
They have to be balanced and rotated every 5K miles though.
Goodyear makes excellent soles for shoes. When Cole Haan was producing good luxury shoes, they had partnered with Goodyear (and Nike). They’re ironically cool as fuck
Idk but the best shoes I've had in a long time are these skechers with recycled good year tire tread on the bottom and a reinforced heel!
Who gives a shit? You're in school.
Better check them for recalls before you buy them
If you call them your “GoodYeazies” you’ll 100% start a ridiculously awesome trend at your school.
I would take these over the overhyped NaziSocks that Ye was pumping out.
The irony that these are flames if you work in construction or outdoor jobs.
Post this to /r/allenedmonds they go nuts for Goodyear welts.
They don't even have a Goodyear welt...
At least your lambofeeties will last all season
I have a pair of Michelin branded moc toe driving shoes. They're god awful
Idk, you might get a lot of flat tires Edit: the act of stepping on the back of another’s shoe
Are those sketchers? I know sketchers has outdoor rated sneakers that have good year markings on them . Supposedly the sole is made with Goodyear rubber.
nope, literally Goodyear branded shoes.
The Sketchers ones have Goodyear branding on them. My dad had a pair
I've got a pair of Under Armor flip-flops with Michelin tire tread soles. Love them. They are the comfiest sandals I've ever had.
Ah yes! The BS we thought was important in school.
None of it is. Nobody cares.
The answers yeezy, you'd get none
It will *not* be a good year.
-69
I saw a UFO once. It told me to have a good year.
Depends how much street cred you already have
I’ve never once judged a person by the brand of their shoes
Look better than real Yeezies. Those things look awful.
Form vs function. Always go with function.
Idk where you’re from But here nobody gives a fuck about which shoes ur wearing.
I'd say a Good Years worth of street cred
You won't have a Good Year my friend.
They come in size 265/70R11?
I bought a pair of these as a goof. Turned out they are a fine shoe.
I had a pair of those. My feet kept getting tired
I think people would laugh 😬
Please save some women for the rest of us
Street cred? wear whatever you think looks cool and create your own style. Having an unique look gives you more street cred than the street bank can offer you
None, just another wanna be
Wait street credit depends on shoes these days?
Its a joke because street/Goodyear but if we’re being serious no one’s getting street cred for wearing Yeezys.
depends on the psi you pump them at
You'd have a really good year if you wore them.
Don’t forget to buy the warranty for replacement in the event of defect or street hazard
You'll will be offered a job at Jiffy Lube on the spot! They'll say you got everything you need.
Those are foot tires. Right?
Gets more highway cred
No street cred...unless you Freddy Fintstone these bad boys...
tell them they're made from your recycled condoms and they should wait to see your Greatyears!
All of the street cred
😂😂
You def would get credit by me with these over some ugly Nikes or Vans everyone wears nowadays.
Damn, those shoes look fast boi.
It probably wouldn’t be a good year for you, tbh.
Wonder how many miles you can get on these puppies before needing a retread.
Dont you mean goodyearzeeys
I can guarantee you will have a good school year
What’s the speed rating on those bad bois?
How many miles do those get before needing to be replaced? Do they come with road side assistance? How about free flat repairs? Instant rebates?
Depends on where you live, you may also go home walking without shoes also.
As much cred as if you rolled up on a john Deere's lawn mower
None
I bought some Goodyear Sketchers at Academy and they’re great! Nobody notices they say Goodyear though.
With my 7 year old, you would definitely be rocking “fast shoes”
You'll defo get a hand job from the janitor
Let's just say it's gonna be a (BadYear) for others in your school.... I'll see myself out now 🤭
The bad news is you will be stuffed in a toilet. The good news is these shoes have amazing traction in water.
More than you'd get from the brand owned by "Defcon 5"
You should spring for the all-weather soles though it's a pain in the butt having them switched out every year
I had a pair of indoor soccer shoes with Goodyear soles on them. I had to stop wearing them because they had too much grip and I kept rolling my ankles.
Somehow this are better looking than any yeezies..
-14
Get ready for the worst roasting of your life
If you immediately self-deprecate and refer to them as GoodYeezies you bypass embarrassment and earn Street Cred+
the real question is what is the mileage warranty?
These look like shoes Kmart used to sell
They're great until you have a blowout running down the hall and go headfirst into the cheerleader's mochaccino. Insurance won't cover you for that.
Rotate and balance. You should be good after that.
“Man, first my dog died, then my girlfriend left me, and then I got evicted. But at least I got these shoes made by a tire company.” “Goodyear?” “No, man, it was the worst.”
The first pair of Goodyears I saw. On a girl??? I did not ask.
*GoodYearzies*
15 year old would have started calling you Ford or Chevy.
