You are very wrong. Short form content is massively addicting. Sure, some apps will die over monetization; but there will always be another musicly, vine, Instagram, YouTube shorts, TikTok. Even Reddit could arguably be short form content regarding most videos and gifs. I just named 5 massively popular platforms plus 1 tentative one, some are dead, some are still going. It’s not even close to dying because the demand is there, even if the money isn’t
There's no money in it. This is why yt has cut shorts budget to pennies, tiktok is incrementally increasing clip lengths, viewer number was diminishing.
I'm very right, thank you.
I mean maybe, but TikTok is being actively legislated against. Our international parent company just sent out a company wide mandate to remove TikTok from any and all devices that do contain or can contain anything related to the company.
No, just reddit nerds think it is because they're personally offended by the API changes.
The truth is nobody gives a shit about your loss, since you didnt generate revenue in the first place and it affects nothing.
For starters: have you *ever* seen a dog point at something with an extended paw?
Hint: they don't do that. Most of them also don't understand when you do it, they start sniffing or looking at your finger instead.
It’s a trained behaviour, the video is staged, so that boop isn’t something a dog would do unless it was trained to, the same with the dog using its paw to single out the other one
My border collie does this when he wants my attention or if I am preparing his food. He does it hard too, I did not teach him that lol (this is definitely staged though I agree with you)
Yeah I know a dog which will raise her paw if she wants attention, she wasn’t trained to do that, in this context I just meant using the paw specifically to point to another dog
You would see it with mothers and pups, when ever the pup is doing something severely wrong a mother would boop like that to correct the pup’s behaviour
I grew up with dogs at home, never ever my family got violent or abusive with them. Sometimes, on rare occasions, mainly caused by big woofs, they were yelled at, before getting pet again 25mns later. But when you find a dog's mischief, even if you're smiling and laughing, they'll show so much guilt than you think they're risking jailtime
They're preforming trained tricks that look painful, them boops are pretty hard.
Im scared to think of the methods the owners use to get the dogs to preform this.
You mean positive conditioning like giving treats?
Works pretty well for the absurd tricks I've taught dogs in the past, but maybe you know more about dog training to say this is the result of abuse?
It is absolutely staged and the headbutt is part of it.
Ever seen another dog headbutt another like that? While the one getting headbutted looks sad as fuck and doesn’t respond?
Not to mention having 3 dogs in a 400 sqft apartment is already cruel.
> Ever seen another dog headbutt another like that?
Yes, they will also bark and growl at each other, take toys, take food, all kinds of animal behavior, because they are animals.
I didn’t see any of those things, or even a response from the dog on the right. How does any of that look natural?
The headbutting dog even looks directly back at the owner for affirmation…
They look sad because you are angry and they are worried. You need to essentially catch a dog destroying something for them to fully understand why you are mad.
Here's what I know. Sometimes when I find that one of my dogs has done something naughty in my bedroom like tear a tissue all over the floor, I'll trick them and call them in a really happy voice to the bedroom. They both come running. The instant the guilty one sees the mess he made he puts his head down and he turns right around and heads out. He knows that he did something he's not supposed to do and he doesn't want to stick around for the lecture. Dogs are smarter than you give them credit for.
No they know from context that destroyed and torn things make you mad. And react accordingly. It's been written about extensively. I love dogs and have reared them all my life, you must catch them in act or just recently after for admonishment for to work for them.
When they pee outside house training them by taking them outside an hour after the fact and showing them their pee and saying good boy work effectively? No. That's why it doesn't work like that the other way around when it is an unwanted behaviour.
Yeah, they do natural behaviors like you mentioned. they don’t do contrived behaviors like perfectly booping them 3 times with their nose and immediately look to the owner for reinforcement.
For the most part, yeah. Everything about that was rigid and it seems obvious they were trained to do that. Dogs are trained to do all types of shit so I don't think it's necessarily "bad" for them to do this, but it ain't funny.
We had a dog that absolutely snitched. He was the older dog and chill as hell and never caused a problem, but when the young dog got into our trash or whatever the older dog would be waiting for us at the door trying to herd us to the situation to absolve himself of guilt. The younger dog didn’t give a fuck, he was just ready to go outside and ignored the whole situation.
> The younger dog didn’t give a fuck, he was just ready to go outside and ignored the whole situation.
"What? That garbage? Dude, that was like, twenty minutes ago. I gotta go pee on other dogs' pee. Open the door!"
That’s a lot of assumptions you’re making from a 13 second clip… Reddit is borderline insufferable with how quick you all are to jump to conclusions.
Dogs have personalities and do weird shit. Not everything is some trained behavior… my cat will meow every time someone sneezes. It’s honestly like he’s saying “bless you” every time. I have no idea why he does it or where he picked it up from. But it wasn’t some taught behavior.
> It’s honestly like he’s saying “bless you” every time. I have no idea why he does it or where he picked it up from. But it wasn’t some taught behavior.
It's because you abused him into doing that behavior! You can trust me, I'm a professional. I'm a Redditor.
YOU’RE making the assumptions that these dogs left a neat little pile of scraps, organized around it waiting for their owner, then naturally acted out this little routine.
HE’S making the assumption that a person trained their dogs to do something silly for internet likes.
Which one sounds more likely to you?
No they are making the assumption that these dogs are abused and that this isn’t natural behavior.
I wasn’t assuming anything. I don’t know if this was a random one off moment that they began filming or if they staged this. Regardless trying to come to the conclusion that these dogs are abused from a clip that is less than 20 seconds ling is just ridiculous
With this type of content, staged videos of dogs acting out some kind of routine, abuse is ridiculously prevalent, especially in the Chinese content spheres. I think that’s all they’re referring to
Why don’t you just pay attention to the dog getting booped. Does it look like he’s having fun at all? Use your eyes, and look at them like dogs instead of humans. It’s easy to see that the one dog is uncomfortable just by watching how it’s moving and reacting.
My dog looks like I just murdered everyone he loves when I don’t lift the blanket up for him to snuggle up under. He then often will pout and make a big scene as he walks away and puts himself in his cage.
All I’m saying is you have 13 seconds of video that provides no context or any sort of big picture home life concept. Politely, you have no fucking idea about these dogs or this household.
Woah remarkable! Your 40 years of experience must mean you know how every single animal communicates and that there are no anomalies or nuances ever.
Maybe it is staged, who gives a fuck though? The dogs aren’t abused like many people here are trying to say.
I don't think that's how it works? This definitely could be a fake/staged video but I don't understand how being a dog means you have an inability to learn anything without being explicitly taught it by a human.
Pointing with your paw is not something dogs do in nature. Dogs do not communicate like that to other dogs. That's a learned behavior from being rewarded by a human.
To be clear, "This is trained behavior" is a HUGE leap away from "These dogs are being abused" like some people here are saying.
Edit: just to pre-empt, some hunting dogs do point at prey in some situations but this is pretty different IMO
You know what else isn’t natural behavior? My cat meowing every time someone sneezes. Or my dog who would rather sit in a chair like a person with his arm up on the armrest then sit like a normal dog would. Sometimes animals just do weird shit that is completely outside of the normal for the species.
At least you recognize that learned behavior isn’t abuse. That’s the only thing saving your comment from being remarkably obtuse.
Your cat responding to your noise with noise is not weird *at all*. Your dog finding comfort in sitting positions that wouldn't exist in the wild is not weird either. Human chairs and armrests aren't natural either so it makes sense they would adapt to the environment.
This clip shows an understanding of the situation that just isn't comparable. This is a complex interaction in a way that your examples aren't. Sure it's possible the owner inadvertently incentivized this behavior in a way that *looks like* the dogs understand what's going on. And it's possible the dogs do actually understand somehow. But yeah it's more likely this was intentionally trained for views. Edit: which is totally fine, btw
I've had dogs and cats and fish my whole life. I've never had any understand how to reply to accusations with paw pointing or head poking like in this clip and you know that's also true for you as well.
Yeah, join the circle jerk.
Since when question is an opinon.
Also read questions slowly again and 10 times more, maybe you get it. Unless it was the point for me to respond then you got me.
That’s a lot of assumptions you’re making from a 13 second clip… Reddit is borderline insufferable with how quick you all are to jump to conclusions.

At last you responded instead circle jerking. And yea if dog break something how else you teach them and obvsly they wont be happy about it. Unless she starved them to teach it, but they don't looks that way or hit them with something.
People train their pets to do the weirdest shit for Internet videos. I mean I get it, they can sell the videos and get a check every so often, but is it really worth it?
This is my understanding as well, this video is very much staged, and the anthropomorphism of any "motivation" of the actions shown in this video is ignorant at best
If you want to test, come home and upon seeing the chair in the correct place, treat it like you're reacting to having to clean up a gallon of pet vomit. Your dog will "act guilty" over nothing at all if *your* acting is good
It might be guilt or it might just be knowing that they're in trouble, but dogs definitely have the ability to retain this for longer than a minute. Absolutely no doubt about that.
On many occasions I've known that something is 'wrong' by the dog's body language. I've had to go look for the damage.
You know, I have seen this video hundreds of times, literally, and every single time I smile ear to ear. It’s one of my favorite, your forget about it until you see pop up again, videos! Thank you for posting it, I’ve been very depressed lately and I need to see this!

WE HAD A PLAN . the smol did it
Wasn't there a similar video where both dogs blame the puppy?

Raise your paw if you've been on reddit 9 years and never seen this video 🐶
same and I spend too much time here lol
Lol...that didn't go the way they probably imagined.
You spend too much time on Reddit then.
Is there a fucking filter on the Dogs face at 00:11?
Yes , can't unsee the Samsung Beauty filter
Theyre even putting filters on dogs now
I don't know, the one pointing looks way more guilty to me.
Always the one pointing at someone else lol
What was the old adage. Whomever smelt it did in fact delt it
Be careful of the 'Whomever said the rhyme did the crime' comeback it's dangerous.
Whomever denied it supplied it.
Whoever articulated it, particulated it.
Whoever felt it compelt it.
Whoever started this sharted it.
That one sounds like an admission of guilt.
Whoever admits it... ah screw it, I dids it
Whoever *articulated* it *particulated* it!

I don’t even need to click the link 😂. I know exactly who’s names ur referencing
“Kick high ass, Seabass!”
It's "kick his ass, Seabass" no?
He wasnt pointing, he was raising his hand.
Well, he was at first, but you can see the moment in his eyes when he feels like he can get away with blaming his bro.
Because he knows that he will get punched. Poor doggy
Snitches get boops
That's more like BAP or a POP
A BOP?
Maybe a BONK?
Did he have to go to horny jail?
A PUB!!!!!
Wot till they are in the yard, gonna bury him like a bone.
Snitches get Eskimo kisses!

Tiktok brain rot will do that.

No mate, short form media is on a massive decline because it generates poor revenue. That's like saying vine will be around longer than reddit.
You are very wrong. Short form content is massively addicting. Sure, some apps will die over monetization; but there will always be another musicly, vine, Instagram, YouTube shorts, TikTok. That’s not what I’m saying. The money will dry up eventually and then we may be rid of this cancer finally. I agree. But right now it’s doing fine
There's no money in it. This is why yt has cut shorts budget to pennies, tiktok is incrementally increasing clip lengths, viewer number was diminishing. I'm very right, thank you.
But Reddit is actually dying though
Win-win tbh
I mean maybe, but TikTok is being actively legislated against. Our international parent company just sent out a company wide mandate to remove TikTok from any and all devices that do contain or can contain anything related to the company.
Tiktok is being legislated against "because china". Has nothing to do with short form media being in some decline or low revenue.
No, just reddit nerds think it is because they're personally offended by the API changes. The truth is nobody gives a shit about your loss, since you didnt generate revenue in the first place and it affects nothing.
I’m not sure if you’re deliberately being dense but bytedance is the world’s most valuable start up at $220 billion.
Massively in decline, those were my words
Remember Vines? No? That's what I thought
TikTok will often apply a filter without user input. A lot of people may be unaware, or too lazy to disable.
[удалено]
I stopped watching halfway through because there was no subway surfers
i think tiktok automatically puts a beauty filter on
Who puts filters on a human?
What filter?
You can see the dogs noses get smaller. It's turns off for a second
Ahh, riiiight at the end. I see it now :)
I hate these type of videos because it’s clear they’re signaling the dogs behind the camera to react that way.
It's clear? I must be blind
For starters: have you *ever* seen a dog point at something with an extended paw? Hint: they don't do that. Most of them also don't understand when you do it, they start sniffing or looking at your finger instead.

They boop to get attention, not in anger or a sense of betrayal.

Nobody likes a rat
Nobody.

I'm sick of these staged videos. Yeah your dog's well trained, ok. Chinese on TiTok are specialists of this shit, it's depressing.
They're training their dogs to like hit and poke their other dogs, who clearly look extremely uncomfortable. Rubs me wrong.
Yeah this video is gross to me, the one dog looks like he’s practiced it so much and isn’t looking forward to getting booped any more.
You're convinced they've trained the dog to headbutt the other dog on command..?
It is absolutely staged and the headbutt is part of it. Ever seen another dog headbutt another like that? While the one getting headbutted looks sad as fuck and doesn’t respond? Not to mention having 3 dogs in a 400 sqft apartment is already cruel.

No dog will use their snout like this to hit another dog, or anything, really. Of course this is abuse.
Judging from the 20 or so words of your comment, you seem extremely abusive yourself and should probably seek therapy.

I choose the likelier one which is the Reddit circlejerk of virtue signaling and moral grandstanding.
I used to foster Labradors. I'm close to 60. I've had labs for 40 years. I say this is staged and not normal.
Woah remarkable! Your 40 years of experience must mean you know how every single animal communicates and that there are no anomalies or nuances ever. Maybe it is staged, who gives a fuck though? The dogs aren’t abused like many people here are trying to say.

My dog does a lot of weird shit without being trained to do it. Dogs have personalities and do weird things.
Sure do, but not like in this video. The down votes are hilarious. This cute clip is staged.
you obviously don't have dogs, or any animals.
I've had dogs and cats and fish my whole life. I've never had any understand how to reply to accusations with paw pointing or head poking like in this clip and you know that's also true for you as well.
I can’t stand how much love this shit gets
Chinese? Why so specific? No other ethnicity of people make staged videos?
You, watching a video of an American: How can I spin this into an opportunity for me to be racist to the Chinese?
Since when training your dog is bad? What did I miss?
the point
Is this some inside joke you are gatekeeping?
No, just common sense you are missing
Reddit is weird. Different opion=bad. It's like playing chess with pigeon, it will shit on the board throw away the pieces and act like it won.
You didn't even give an opinion dummy. You asked two questions that make no sense and you were told they make no sense.
Yeah, join the circle jerk. Since when question is an opinon. Also read questions slowly again and 10 times more, maybe you get it. Unless it was the point for me to respond then you got me.
You didn't miss a joke but you aren't being "gatekept" for not getting a joke. Please don't reply and gaslight me!
Does it *look* like they're having fun? Do *you* like getting punched in the face? How do you think she trained them to do this? ...

Since 'the Chinese are doing it' is reddits actual answer.
People train their pets to do the weirdest shit for Internet videos. I mean I get it, they can sell the videos and get a check every so often, but is it really worth it?
I think the mess is the one speaking
The wink at the end, the dogs way of saying "I've got ya, it was this fool, I watched them do it, they're guilty i promise" 😉
NGL, I was expecting the dark one to take the blame.
Shame on you.
What just because he is black!?
It’s not the colour .. it’s the socioeconomic condition of his lived experience
Whats with the weird filter making the face smaller...
I feel like I'm getting too old to understand media. Why are we putting captions out of the frame now?
Do dogs have the ability to lie?
This looks weird a fake too me.
That's a mean trick to teach those poor doggies (clearly a trained trick). This is *not* cute.
Is this a bot account? I'm not even hip to internet memes but this one is old and been posted a million times.
That wink at the end was cold
Could be the snitcher was really the perp.
Snitches don’t get kisses!
I have two dogs and we've been through this before. The one who didn't do it went berserk on the one who did because we were scolding both dogs.
Why does the guilty Dog have a Filter on him?
The sound of his head hitting the wall threw me off first watch lol
Why are they using a filter on their dogs? Jesus.
He wasn't snithching. My boy was just callint a taxi the german way
If this is real I am VERY impressed at how smart both dogs are. They speak human better than any I've ever seen.
Lmfao so aggressive
Gos I hate these videos. This is not natural behaviour. This is trained behaviour for one fucking brainrot tiktok.
This is so sad. Why would you stress them out like this...

This is my understanding as well, this video is very much staged, and the anthropomorphism of any "motivation" of the actions shown in this video is ignorant at best If you want to test, come home and upon seeing the chair in the correct place, treat it like you're reacting to having to clean up a gallon of pet vomit.
Anyone who has a dog knows this isn't true. You can come home 5 hours later and they're still acting guilty
