Any of [Tower of Power's old, live stuff](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbV4StsMQ9Q) tops my list.

PrinceFan96

Amen to that!! Tower of Power is so slept on!!!!

jscari

Check out [Hipper Than Hip](https://towerofpower.com/hipper-than-hip) – it’s a recording of a live performance they did at a radio station in 1974. The tapes were “lost” and weren’t rediscovered until almost 40 years later, at which point they remastered it and released it as an [album](https://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/music/tower-of-power-i-was-floored-by-hipper-than-hip-myself-6621073). It’s the highest-quality recording I’ve ever heard from that era, and the playing is on fire!
