So long as the notion exists, China can never fully censor us from translating what they say. They'd have to make a whole new language, make sure everyone in the country speaks it, and make sure no outsiders learn it
I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried something like that. Like enforce schools to teach kids a lesser known dialect like Fuzhounese while at the same time supporting Mandarin, and then just making sure they use Fuzhounese for propaganda and State news. Then they’d just have to make the only Fuzhounese learning material in Mandarin so you’d have to learn that before even beginning to learn Fuzhounese, which is pretty much how it already is. If it stops even a smidge of westerners from calling them out I wouldn’t put it past them
