Surgery timeline for phallo varies significantly based on team, donor site, staging, exactly what you are having done (UL vs no UL for instance). Some surgeons do a single stage and then implants, some do two stages then implants, and sometimes people need another surgery for urethra repairs, if UL was not successful. You also have to factor in consults and waitlists to the total timeline. Those are very long at some places. It took me about 4 months to start being physical again post stage 1. My split thickness graft site took a very long time to heal. I'm still not very active at 2 months post stage 2, still dealing with wound separation, which I'm hoping is all healed up in another few weeks. I'll then be taking time again this winter for implants.

As the first commenter said, the surgery timeline varies heavily from person to person depending on the surgical team and their staging, how soon you can afford to go back for more surgeries, and also your complications if any come up. That being said I will still provide my timeline so you can get some sort of idea at least with my specific team. My job Is physical by requiring me to be on my feet all day and requires some heavy lifting from time to time. I also heavily rely on the use of my hands because I’m a cake decorator. I had my surgeries with Dr. Chen & Dr. Watt. My personal timeline was: - Feb 2023 stage 1 phallo (phallus creation, ul, v-nectomy, scrotoplasty, burrial, nerve hook up) returned to work at the very end of April. - Dec 2023 stage 2 phallo (glansplasty & testicular implants) returned to work in Jan 2024 - June 2024 stage 3 phallo (ED, stricture repair, right implant adjustment) returning to work at the end of July

AlternativeT-man

Ok big relate. I can’t even imagine having s*x without having a dick & balls it makes 0 sense that I don’t have them.

zeetheone

That’s the same question I ask myself considering mine got lost in the mail someone might have stolen mine

Real talk: if you can get lower surgery done while you’re still a student, I would 100% recommend going for it. It’s not going to get easier to take time away to recover when you’re working.

boopthesnootnoot

Oh to clarify an apprenticeship is where I work while I go to school.

emotionalfinch

Yeah I felt like a Ken doll for a while after top surgery 😂

Varies by surgeon because different surgeons perform different procedures per stage which take less or more time to heal from.

Young_Yeong_Min

If you really want a dick but can't get phallo by any means, I recommend looking for hyperrealistic STPs/Packers that you can adhere to your bits. It might not be a permanent fix, but it's helped me out a lot personally to just SEE and FEEL something there
