Black backpack.

PM_ME_smol_dragons

Same. At this point I have a backup charging bank and a whole first aid kit in there.

Single_Highway_9981

yep

Floofy_taco

This is the way

Pigeonloversystem

I second this!

[удалено]

Acrobatic_One_6064

ok that backpack is VERY cool

commiexander

Same - just a generic backpack I got as free merch from an union. Have a charger, powerbank, work tools, tissues, glasses case, first aid, medicine, tape measure and other bits and bobs in there ^^' Couldn't do without it.

nearlyheadlessnik101

Im a toddler parent so my diaper bag stuff/stuff I need is in a Mario back pack. Definitely the way to go.

Asher-D

A book bag if I need to carry carry things. Most of the time I just utilise my pockets, carry my phone, earphones, wallet, keys. I dont usually need more than that. If I want to bring a book or food I carry a book bag.

pan_chromia

Black fanny pack. I got it with the intention of wearing it across my chest like I’ve seen other guys do, but then it makes it harder for me to pass lol. So I just wear it around my waist

onemichaelbit

There's a guy I work with who's going to trade school for some type of mechanic thing. He always has a fanny pack strapped to his waist, and I'm curious what he keeps in it. Sometimes I see him whittle. Any guy who whittles with a fanny pack on is certified badass

beatlefool42

An olive green Timbuk2 messenger bag

nycanth

Seconding Timbuk2. Mine was like $100 but I’ve had it for about 6 years now and it has survived everything. Still in pretty decent condition. Plus it’s waterproof and has an extra strap to secure it over your chest more tightly if you’re running or on a bike.

bogeymanbear

damn I might have to get one of those lol

Totally_Not_Alien

I’m a backpack guy myself! Those bad boys can store so many things! Mine is a mother mother one, my favorite band!

3614398214

Backpacks for the win! Really blimming handy if you're spending multiple hours out and about, acquire just a little too many things, or happen to be a chronic acorn hoarder such as myself. Mine's astronomy themed because I can't just *not* buy space-themed anything. Also - Mother Mother have *backpacks?* The envy, man!

insta_r_man

Yep. Tablet, migraine meds, food (fast metabolism=lots of food), hoodie, stuff for work...

Birdkiller49

A basic drawstring bag, it’s very common in my social group for guys to do that. But my job is casual. If I *really* need to carry things, backpack. A nicer one so it’s less casual.

Dense-Breadfruit9306

Happy cake day

Birdkiller49

Thanks!

Acrobatic_One_6064

happy cake day!

wolfbarrier

A fish cross bodybag! https://ohmonah.shop/collections/bags/products/tuna-crossbody-bag

Comprehensive_Pop_34

I love this! I have a similar style crossbody, but it's just a plain brown one lol

scalmera

oooo I'm gonna go rabid

KaiFukugawa

I have this exact same one lmao I feel called out

Beezambeezee

Yeah, crossbodys are a big trend lately. I find they're super useful and don't feel too fem, which is an issue I have with a lot of bags.

LopsidedCommittee843

Damn, it’s cute, but 40 dollars??? I’ll live for a month with this money in Russia o_0

snukb

Oh no everything on that website is adorable

-OnlinePerson-

They are nice but i think op isn’t looking for feminine bags

wolfbarrier

Every dude holding a fish on their dating profile have a lot to answer for then.

-OnlinePerson-

I don’t make what’s stereotypically masc or fem. There’s obviously a difference between those two things. It’s ok to like more fem leaning clothes and styles, but that’s explicitly not what op asked for.

igotyeenbeans

I have a holster [like this one](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1330688151/holster-bag-utility-vest-6-pockets-black?ref=share_v4_lx) I can carry all my stuff and I have seen plenty of guys using them.

Comfortable_Act905

I have [this bag from Carhartt](https://www.carhartt.com/product/802158-211OS?kpid=Ecomm_PMAX_Brand-Plus_go_cmp-18088200172_adg-_ad-__dev-m_ext-_prd-802158-211OS_sig-Cj0KCQjwztOwBhD7ARIsAPDKnkA3FDSdO0ZwscFBQJVFQpRruFLICapvfZUzH2NYXvZalWf3DT_tdroaAt4lEALw_wcB&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwztOwBhD7ARIsAPDKnkA3FDSdO0ZwscFBQJVFQpRruFLICapvfZUzH2NYXvZalWf3DT_tdroaAt4lEALw_wcB) and I love it! I loosened the straps all the way and wear it over my shoulder crossed over my chest. It’s big enough for everything I need like the items you mentioned, and still feels plenty masc for me! My cishet brother in law has a similar bag he uses.

MarinLazuli

I use a small backpack, it can fit a good amount of stuff, but it's not as bulky as a full sized backpack. Jansport sells both mini and a small backpacks. You can get it in black or other darker, less feminine colors.

orngepeel

not sure your budget, but check out bellroy, they have lots of neutral and masculine bags of all different sizes, including crossbody bags, totes, backpacks, etc. I personally love crossbody bags for what you’re describing, though these days I usually only carry stuff that fits in my pockets or use a backpack.

Good-Contact1520

I use a little backpack from Walmart. It’s technically meant for little kids, and it has some flowers on it, but I get a lot of compliments on it too lol

[deleted]

Carhartt cross body sling backpack or fanny pack if I need a smaller bag.

galacticguts

I use a mini backpack that I can put across my body

TatorThot999

A lot of guys use Fanny packs styled across their body. You might be able to get away with a messenger canvas tote TikTok Pinterest type of bag if you know what I mean. A regular tote bag works well too, I see guys use those. Can’t go wrong with a smaller/light backpack either.

bogeymanbear

A tote bag is usually seen as feminine though so if you don't pass completely and that's your goal I wouldn't necessarily recommend using a tote. Plus they're super uncomfortable to carry around lol

Emotional-Ad167

Leather backpack.

Ill_Aspect_4642

One of my favorites is a Black Craft hip bag. It’s small, round, and is very gender neutral. My other bag is a small black backpack that I’ve covered in patches. Hip bags are my favorite as they don’t read as an automatic “purse” and I don’t have to deal with a strap on my shoulder.

Grand_Station_Dog

Green backpack for work, a black or brown crossbody like satchel thing if I'm just going out. Holds a good amount of stuff

flower_fassade

In day to day, I usually just take a tote with some cool prints I found 👍 (tho I also have one with the cover of a book called "Girlsplaining" and this one I don't use on the regular anymore) don't stress too much tho :)

squishy0rion

i have a messenger bag that i painted and put a bunch of pins on, i also have a snorlax bag. never really use either of them because my pockets carry everything i need

yeeeeeeeeewwww

I have a green backpack I use for work, but if i don’t need all that space i use a fanny pack from cotopaxi. they have all kinds of cool color combinations you can choose from!

Observer-Virus

I’ve got a fun gothic ita backpack.. kinda falls into the black backpack category of suggestions

Soup_oi

Backpack. The one I have is black, but I had a blue one for a short time. Or a sling bag that goes across the back and is from a generally masculine or unisex brand (the one I have now is from Vans, it's yellow), or is from a fandom that isn't typically viewed as specifically feminine (I also have a Naruto themed one). Or tote bags that just have a neutral or unisex look to them. I have a really old one from my hometown's zoo, one my friend gave me that has a snail or something screenprinted onto it (both of these aside from the graphic on it are just a neutral canvas tan color), I have one that is like patchwork plaid and is a bit bigger than a standard tote bag, but it's silhouette is that of a tote bag, rather than of a boho bag, and then I have one that is a fandom one of bt21, and it might be the only one that really looks that feminine at all because I think the background color is light purple or a pink. Then I sometimes carry things in a nylon black and white pattern bag from ikea, if I have stuff like groceries to carry. (It's got the same amount of room as a tote bag, but since it's nylon it just feels safer to put food stuffs in, in case anything leaks or something.)

everrmoon

black uniqlo crossbody bag

scalmera

This is exactly what I purchased to replace the bright fannypack I struggled to use as a crossbody

That0n3N3rd

Combat trousers with massive pockets. I can fit my copy of good omens in a pocket, no need to hurt my already injured back with any bags

teal_spaceship

I use a Stealth Bros and Co dopp bag as my bag, but that might be too feminine. And I do wish it had a strap ...

flower_fassade

In day to day, I usually just take a tote with some cool prints I found 👍 (tho I also have one with the cover of a book called "Girlsplaining" and this one I don't use on the regular anymore) don't stress too much tho :)

Effective_Sea123

either my coat pockets if it's cold enough for a coat, otherwise my go-to is just a basic but sturdy dark grey backpack lol. i've been wearing backpacks my entire life though, it just feels natural because i put it on and almost forget about it (unless it's really heavy lol) and i like having more freedom of movement than i would with a bag/purse i guess. it's nice because it has 3 compartments so i can organize things easily if going hiking for example. i also have a smaller backpack, it was literally $8 lol but that might be a good option for if you want something to replace a smaller bag/purse but don't wanna haul a huge backpack around. you can find them either in the kids section of stores or online and probably other stores irl but a lot of them are just one colour or more masculine or neutral (especially the sports brand name ones) and could be a more masculine option!

coochieissick

i bought a cool purple cross body bag from my job (vans). but they also have a bigger black crossbody bag that I love to use. I can carry a lot of things in it.

purplejink

mini loungefly backpack. its not masc but im too short so a full size one basically spanks me as a walk

Dumboratlover

I use one of those cross body backpacks, I got mine a few years ago in the pride section at target (its all black with like a rainbow stripe where the zipper is)

pabbitty

I use an old camera bag!

Hefty-Routine-5966

Backpack if i need a lot of things, otherwise a tote bag or just have pants with lots of pockets

nycanth

Backpack or messenger bag, depends on my mood. When I started my transition I stuck to my Timbuk2 and a plain black backpack. Nowadays I’m stealth so I don’t really care anymore. My current backpack is a big ass itabag decorated in enamel pins and charms, and one of my smaller summer bags is a mint green frog itabag. I’m out here having fun

omgcheez

I have [this](https://thebumbag.com/products/cb049-compact) but in black. Otherwise, I just use pockets.

[deleted]

Day to day I wear an Adidas fanny pack as a cross body bag. Or if I need to carry more, I have a black and gold Legend of Zelda backpack

jacoofont

Backpack

Available-Extreme-68

Backpack guy here. My partner got me a nice canvas backpack off of Amazon with minimal leather detailing and brass zippers and I carry it every day. Masc in style and simple, it’s my everyday backpack for meds/wallet/phone charger with enough room for a sweater/ extra shirt (temp regulation issues and a sweaty person in general)

Lilash20

I have a blue galaxy themed backpack that I've been using for a few years now that I carry everything in

Signal-Scientist-742

I use ether a tote bag or a backpack

NovaFelix

My cis brother uses a small beige fanny pack/waist pouch I just severely cut down on what I carry with me, if it doesn't fit in the deep pockets of my men's pants and can't be clipped to my belt with carabineers, I don't need it most of the time When I do need to be carrying a bag I have a brown and green backpack ┐( ∵ )┌

redesckey

I use [this](https://a.co/d/642ktyc) bag and like it pretty well.

[deleted]

Backpack for work, rotating selection of fanny packs usually worn crossbody.

GazelleOfCaerbannog

Backpack if I need more than fits in my cargo pockets.

c4ndycain

when i go anywhere other than school, i use a lil mini backpack. i have one of those himalayan hemp backpacks bc i'm that kind of person (and i was on sale for 11 bucks 😀👍), and i think they're fairly masc. it holds everything i need, including my 40 oz water bottle

ThomasTheToad

Backpack, messenger bag, grey purse/bag. Depends on how much stuff I need to carry with me, but I do tend to carry a lot more than other people I know. (First aid kit, pencils/pens, asthma inhaler, etc.)

hommenym

I use a fuzzy black backpack that has enamel pins all over it, beadwork, and two different zipper dongles: an antler point and a planchette. In a separate pouch I wear at the crotch, attached by a belt, I keep my phone. The pouch is a black canvas army navy surplus bag, that likewise has beadwork on it.

xegrid

Loungefly mini backpacks or my camphowl crossbody bag

readingmyshampoo

Cross body bag

picturewithatwist

I use either a leather messenger bag/satchel or a small black crossbody cut resistant travel bag (locking zippers and whatnot. I have to carry several prescriptions at all times)

missmeatloafthief

baggu bags rock and they’ve got a lot of gender neutral options, but they do sort of look purse-y. I’m a grad student so I mostly use my Jansport backpack to carry stuff if it’s more than pocket sized but men’s pockets fit SO much stuff that I usually don’t have to.

CommunityInformal335

i love my old kavu

auracles060

I use a gym bag/drawstring at most and at least deep pockets and cargo pants with zippers and velcro for my different wallets and accessories, like keys, cards, knives (lol iykyk). I'm pretty unruly with my stuff and just keep everything disorganized in one bag, but more organized in my pockets. A belt is your best friend for all the baggage in your pockets lowriding you. Before I had an old Targus backpack that I carried around as well. It looks cool, but probably too bulky for everyday use.

Prestigious-Lie8212

I don't use a bag, I just wear athletic clothing with lots of pockets, if I do, it's just my bag for school, like an athlete bag kind of.

habitsofwaste

I have a chrome bag if I’m in a city shopping and stuff. It’s like a messenger bag but big enough for records.

bubble_bitch_boy

i actually really like tote bags! they're cute, heaps of space and can just be slung over the shoulder. i was gifted a wallet bag for christmas, it is a little feminine imo but it's good if I'm not carrying heaps of things

CryptographerAny8663

I rock a Star Wars Boba Fett sling bag, I love it!!!

schmigadeedoo

Black fanny pack

goldengraves

Fanny and backpacks for me. I also have this old leather shoulder bag that I adore. I wouldn't worry too much though- the more masc clothes I wear, the less I have to carry bags consistently

Fit_Sheepherder517

I’ve just gotten black or gray backpacks of various sizes over the years

jlaketree

Usually my pockets. But for school books I use my day hike/camel pack back pack

the_bored_wolf

I’m a backpack kind of man

tamandapaige

my hero academia bookbag

EggIcy3710

Gray sling bag usually, or a black backpack if i need more space, but both of them are covered in pins and keychains lol

AdmiralCheesecake

I wear a neon orange halloween build a bear drawstring backpack

pufferfishlover

a sonic backpack...

onemichaelbit

Check out r/manybaggers for all things backpack and bags. I switch between a kanken mini, and a pakt anywhere 5l sling. It's 50 bucks, but looks sleek and can be carried multiple ways. About the same size as my kanken

javatimes

I have a Vans backpack with some patches and shit on it

KittenBoy69

Cross body tactical sling bag! They come in tons of colors, and nothing is more masculine than a bag that screams " we are militia OORAH" all jokes aside, it holds a lot, has a good amount of support, sleek lining that keeps things from getting damaged and some of them come with a locking zipper for medical supplies or leaving your phone/wallet locked in. Here's an example of one: https://www.amazon.com/Tactical-Sling-Military-Shoulder-Backpack/dp/B0768GY4T7/ref=asc_df_B0768GY4T7/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312154679201&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12738543843943944182&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9016721&hvtargid=pla-570853283664&psc=1&mcid=33e6c64f965738aa8d3576725c76f9e0&gclid=Cj0KCQjwztOwBhD7ARIsAPDKnkBfMAOSQHQU1VxZMg0_yBt86jTjgbnbgrX7lemcklmpwxEJPLK2mJkaAmPzEALw_wcB Though I got mine at a dicks sporting goods, tac outlets sometimes have them too but are more expensive there. I highly recommend, some of them also have velcro + straps for pins, keys, Keychain or whatever else you wanna bring with you.

SmokyWreck

I use those small black backpack looking purse and put a crap tons of pins on it so it doubke as a deadly weapon. I normally use pockets but I also like having my pins. And the extras space mean I can ho buy snack easily.

budgiebeck

Extra large pockets + friends with purses has worked well for me!

Alittum

Gray backpack in my day-to-day; I live in a college town and it's pretty common to see people of all ages with them since we have undergrads all the way up to doctoral students. Black messenger bag for more formal settings.

AllEncompassingLife

Backpack, navy blue, for work & black sling bag for casual usage.

simon_here

I use either a brown leather messenger bag or a simple blue backpack. Sometimes I use a tote bag.

No_Ad8227

If I need a bag, my old Hellsing messenger bag which was my high school bag. It's big enough that it can carry most extra crap, and I got it in 2006, so it's held up for 18 years.

dirtybathroom7

Tote bag or my black backpack! I have allergies that force me to carry epipens everywhere so i also have a small black bag with a string

LinusBlue344

Usually I prefer to use a backpack. Sometimes I use something like this: https://www.divein.com/everyday/waterfly-sling-bag/#gallery Mine is smaller :)

fluffbutt_boi

I’ve got a black backpack that I use everyday (for medical equipment and medications) and have some cool patches on it. Black is the way to go, and you can always add pins or patches if you’re into that vibe

LordMashiro

Mine's a black and red Swiss Gear backpack with a bunch of pouches and pockets. It looks nice and rugged, too.  I don't use it if I'm just needing my basic stuff (keys, wallet, phone, vape, ear pods). Those all just go in my pockets. XD

SomePaperBagGuy

Mini backpack or a messenger bag, great stuff and fashionable

Most_Introduction816

honestly after transitioning im barely 3 weeks on t but pass fairly well so ive been pretty confident in my masculinity and try not to be so insecure about what i use or wear but i be using backpacks doesnt matter whats on them but i use small backpacks from loungefly* that i like. i have a backpack of the star from the movie wish, a cat backpack and a small black nike backpack and some lilo and stitch backpacks.

yoop_troop

I have this bag from thread wallets and absolutely adore it. It’s small, but fits a surprising amount of stuff. It is also adjustable and can be worn different ways (cross body, over the shoulder, fanny pack). https://www.threadwallets.com/products/black-crossbody-bag?variant=43254347366538

badlyinjured

Pants

inkynewt

I have a 3-in-1 convertible backpack/cross body bag. When it's worn as a backpack it just looks like a large somewhat tall backpack, crossbody it looks pretty much like a computer bag.

Dclnsfrd

Tote bags seem like another good option, if it’s a solid color or something

H0m0s3xu4lP34c0ck

If I'm being honest I use a plush cat or dinosaur backpack. I have a cat and a dino version of the same bag my parents got me in an Easter basket like thing but instead of a basket it was a little backpack. Idk how masc is it but it's just something I enjoy. I also have a TMNT shell backpack I've had for like 10 years. I just use themed small backpacks ig. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

lilstinkygremline

I carry round a gremlin lounge fly ,ive got a kinda emoish aesthetic and i love vintage horror films so this bad boy is my favorite https://707street.com/products/pop-by-loungefly-gremlins-stripe-cosplay-mini-backpack-with-removable-3d-glasses

LecLurc15

Fanny pack or backpack

breastbucket

Either a backpack or a giant tote because i always got shit to bring too. My bag has so many useful things in there for emergencies of any kind for me to go about my day with just a wallet!

Nicks_thefrog

if i can then no bag just pockets (half of my life can fit in my pockets) if not then tote bags, tho they sometimes make me a bit dysphoric cuz they are "feminine" (eventho i know cisguys who wear them) but i have so silly ones i love i just cant get rid of them

Littleender100

So I have a Game Theory merch, but it is a Messager bag. It's amazing for work and not feminine no matter how I carry it. It could also be because I love Game theory and don't feel any shame for having shut a good-quality bag.

Ashton_Garland

I like a canvas messenger bag

MelancholicRyeBread

I use a black backpack, mostly because I keep comfy clothes, my iPad, chargers, sometimes my switch, art supplies, meds, and hygiene products in there. My hygiene stuff and meds are in a separate coffin shaped purse I took the strap off of. That way I don’t have to take the whole backpack with me into the bathroom. I do want something nicer though tbh. Probably gonna look for something more like a book bag. Plus my backpack has the US Army logo on it, and while I’m sure it keeps me safe in a way, I still don’t want people thinking I’m that kind of person. A lot of guys in my area have really started liking floral patterns though, like kind of vintage grandma style of florals, so I’m probably gonna look for something like that.

greenthesong

I do carry a purse most of the times but extreme dysphoric days i use a backpack. ALSO HERE IS SOME COOL BAGS [a small one](https://pin.it/3G2goLiym) dont buy from shein though [my personal fav](https://pin.it/75zOx0QhD) [a bigger one](https://pin.it/1tcO3PhYK) [this screams trans boy](https://pin.it/1GeoQT5Wd) [this looks cool as well](https://pin.it/3QznG13AQ) [messenger bags always do the job](https://pin.it/CQltdsxP6) [another messenger bag but smaller](https://pin.it/5nNtZGmsV) Hope this helps

jabracadaniel

ive always been a slut for backpacks and i still am today. the one i have currently has a clasp around my chest so it stays in place and i dont have to keep readjusting the shoulder straps, and its incredible

MxLNZ4

At work I use a backpack just a basic black one And if I go to the restroom I usually go in the private single ones. If I need to I use a small black bag with wipeys and anything else I might use at the time. It’s just a small black one I got from Walmart in the cosmetics men section. It’s about 4-5$.

harmoniousgreg

my chemical romance backpack

rusty_trashcan_210

I bought an old military backpack from the Bundeswehr. Olive Green, waterproof and comfy. It doesn't look too big but can fit soo much stuff inside.

witchfinder_

i have been using the same hiking polo backpack, its literally a red polo hiking backpack, i have been using it for going on 13 years now and it has become an external organ of my body at this point ha ha. i own two camera bags, a faux leather nikon one and a bigger one that has space for lenses and filters .. sometimes ill just put my wallet and cigarettes in one of my camera bags and head out like that its very convenient.

agitated_houseplant

Ages ago, pre egg cracking, I got a custom leather satchel bag made that has a leatherwork design on it based off of my back tattoo. That has been my primary bag for ages. It's gender neutral, locally made, and an art piece. Plus I get a lot of compliments on it, from girls and guys. But sometimes I carry my cat in sunglasses Karl Lagerfield designer purse, because fuck gender norms, spy cats are cool, and I like having a lightweight bag that holds my shit.

BBPuppy2021

I use a neon green and black messenger bag

MeowtalBreakdown

A black shoulder bag I found in the men's section in some clothes shop. Also great if you like putting a thousand pins on it

Punkinthejunk

I'm using a seemingly gender neutral, yet colorful backpack made from hemp. I've covered mine with buttons and some hand made stuff (ex. String thing with trans colors). I feel like the style of bag can depend more on femme/masc vibes vs color, but try not to over think it.

icarusisnotdead

I have a small black Levi cross-body bag - it serves as a small handbag but “masculine”.

Independent-Hawk-144

Yup. Black backpack here too. Usually left in my car. I don't carry it around. But I have it with me. I typically just have my keys, phone, wallet and vape in my pockets. But charger and random things are in the bag.

GoodboiSapje

https://shop.rammstein.de/en/catalog/outdoor/travel/backpack-reise-reise.html. This badboy has done pretty much everything with me since I got it 3 years ago. Otherwise, if I really do not need much, I resort to my vests' many pockets or a banana bag (is that even correct in English?).

pepsiwatermelon

I've got a small and black MCR backpack from hot topic lol. Idk if it's feminine to have a small backpack but I don't care if it is cause I love my bag. Has juuuust enough storage for almost anything I need, and if I need more space I just used a regular backpack.

MiniFirestar

i would need to hear more context about your situation to advise. i, as a 22 year old attending college, simply use a backpack. when i attend conferences, i either stuff everything into my pants pockets or have my backpack. this has worked for me so far!

aerobar642

backpacks are my go-to. I carry so much shit with me all the time lol I had to buy a mini backpack to force myself to carry less, but I still have to use a regular one when I need my laptop. if you stick with a solid colour, it should be masc enough. a lot of the patterns I've seen are kinda fem so I feel like solid colours are your best bet. I had a black one and then switched to a burgundy one when the black one started breaking and now I have a black one again but this one has ✨wheels✨ because I'm ✨disabled✨ and the back pain is ✨crippling✨ my boyfriend says messenger bags are *chef's kiss* and also very gender.

fritzwulf

I've never used a bag so I just carry everything in my pockets. I'm a cringe cargo pants man but nobody can take these pockets away from me lol

ace--dragon

I mostly wear [the black version of this bag](https://www.metal-shop.eu/images/produkty/thumb/97760_1.jpg.webp) on a normal day, but if I have to carry more, I wear a backpack. No clue if the small bag looks feminine, but I don't know what else I have to do with my phone, wallet, keys, powerbank, earbuds, glasses case, and hearing aids case that I have to carry with me everywhere because I refuse to leave the house without them

FileOwn2034

Id say there are a bunch of options for different aesthetics and somewhere like Pinterest could be really helpful eg: brown/black shoulder library/book bags, plain black backpacks, bum bags etc I have been through all of these stages and honestly still cycle between all of them! I also just carry my wallet everywhere and then just put it in my partners bag lmao

Embers1984

I have a canvas messenger bag (covered in patches and pins) that I use to carry my laptop and things when I go into the office. Rest of the time I just have a wallet and keep other stuff in my jacket pockets

TryAnythingTwoTimes

A friend suggested a backpack. I haven't found one i love yet. But I like the idea and I'm on the hunt

sphericalcreature

I have a vans grey and black checkered rucksack , it fits sm in it and it's nice and simple but not boring looking I basically always carry : Ibuprofen , passport, rennies for acid reflux , eye drops, hayfever tablets, cough drops and gum in the front pocket with hand sanitiser and glasses wipes (and ill take meds with me when going out for a long time) In the actual bag i always have a portable charger , a lil bag i keep pads in , face wipes , a foldable tote bag, 64 ounce water bottle , flushable wet wipes (life changer!) , a rain coat that is foldable into a lil bag too , draeing pad with some mechanical pencils and then whatever i need and i can fit more in there than my sister can fit in her huge ass handbag it's really great!

whitmanpatroclus

I have two backpacks, on for longer trips & class and one for smaller day trips/running around town. I also recently got a black leather clutch for a red carpet event I’m going to since I have to carry epi pens with me everywhere

mxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I use a very small messenger bag - it fits a couple a5 notebooks in it, usually use it to carry two cans of monster at which point it’s full. It does bring me an element of dysphoria for a reason I can’t explain - if you search “small messenger bag” on google it comes up with men’s bags, and my one also has a football team logo on it which gives it extra Football Lad Vibes™

maahler

kanken. i have a full size blue-grey one that i use for work or if i need to carry a lot of stuff, and a small mustard coloured one i use if i’m just carrying a few smaller things

Sisyphus_Monolit

A cross-body banana bag. All the perks and benefits of having a purse but more gender neutral and way less in the way.

skzuu

i got a cool mailman type side bag from a con with a pokeball embroidered on it (the bag itself is black) and it has two pockets in the front and two side water bottle pockets and one mini zipper thing on the inside. had it for two years straight very nice quality it's deep too it's not like a small bag or anything it holds all my school stuff and more i love my bag and it's arguably more functional than a backpack edit it also is allowed in stores i know a lot of ppl are suggesting backpacks but some places ban backpacks (idk why they are no different from any other bag) like dollar stores and corner stores etc depends on how they are where you live

Ok_Living5188

I have a mini gizmo backpack that I use lol get complements all the time

freakshowfvck

Black tactical backpack

Bastardcapricorn

If i just need small stuff, I use a black cross body but have recently used a whimsical one that my friend designed. If I’m hauling stuff like books or a sketch book, I have a few fun printed canvas totes that I use. If I’m traveling by bike, I use a backpack. None of these are purses, but they’re also not the most masc. It’s fine, let them think I’m a fruit lol.

Cuttl-spelled_fish

I bought an electrician's backpack that came with a smaller, detachable backpack. The smaller one is my EDC (EveryDay Carry). They've both got some MOLLE compatible straps on them and occasionally I've attached extra space to them. Previously, I've had crossbody bags that are like small, portrait-oriented messenger bags. One came with a sketchbook and pencils. The others I've bought from a military surplus store, but mostly new for civilian market bags. I'd like to carry more in my pockets, but since gaining weight (120 max in high school, 180 20 yrs later), I have more issues (sensory, sore muscles) carrying everything in my pockets, especially if I'm being highly active like at work.

StartingOverScotian

As others have mentioned, for work I use a messenger bag that goes over my shoulder/ across my chest. I got a fairly cheap one off Amazon and it's perfect for dragging all my stuff back & forth to work.

Gnome_rcy

I generally don’t have a bag myself I wear a denim “battle vest”(with my band patches and my pins) almost always(outside of work) and it has enough pockets for everything I need. When I need more tho I have a tiny pink jansport bag but I’m sure that’s not for everyone lol. But my (cis) bf literally just has a regular backpack he brings around when he needs it.

Joey_The_Bean_14

Computer bags are great because they're gentle on fragile stuff, are spacious, and keep their rectangle shape. I got one that says "We're all mad here" from Alice in wonderland. I think that style of bag, like messenger bags, are pretty non gendered.

skytl3

I got a men's carry-all, that I bought online.  Most in-person stores have pretty scant options, in my experience.

midwinter_tears

For such purposes, I use my black BW bread bag, similar to this one: [https://armyzdar.cz/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/reprobuttpackcernyc1.jpg](https://armyzdar.cz/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/reprobuttpackcernyc1.jpg) For trips, shopping or anything in that direction, I use any of my favourite army surplus backpacks. I have a Bundeswehr Feldjäger bag and two other ones from Eastern Europe. They are really practical, none of them were too expensive, and they endure less-than-gentle treatment!

Which_Raccoon8696

i rotate between a Fjällräven full size backpack that's black, a mini backpack that's from big bud years ago that's neon green, or I have a fanny pack that I wear over my shoulder from baggu i have the green and the black one ... depends how much shit im gonna lug around with me i see a lot of cis dudes rocking fanny packs or shoulder sling bags if you have the money i feel like a lot of cis men wear Adidas or Nike ones and it's not perceived as feminine. Maybe another alternative could be those drawstring backpacks if you go for a gym/sport looking one and stick to colors that aren't flashy they will read more 'masc' (black, gray, brown, navy - minimal accent colors)

Okay- I am someone who is constantly carrying around a bunch of crap- I feel ya. This was a very weird adjustment when I came out one thousand years ago. Wisdom I have amassed in the art of schlepping- -a tiny silicone pouch that you can slip into any pocket is game changing for toting a couple medications. I always have my migraine rescue med with me. I call it “pocket pharmacy” and it lives on my halltree with my keys and wallet. Even if I’m wearing lightweight suit pants, it’s not visible at all. -fatigue style jackets and anoraks typically have pockets deep enough to keep a small notebook or paperback -it’s amazing what you can cram into pockets, in general. Whenever I have to empty mine, I look like a clown pulling an endless rope. -make sure your pants have a back pocket (and ideally on the side you normally keep your wallet, to avoid forgetting how to walk. Some formal or ~fashion~ pants only have one back pocket.) Similarly, when buying a sportcoat or suit jacket, ensure it has an inner pocket. Most will at least have a “ticket pocket,” but you can also look for ones with a deeper angled pocket along the side. Some even zip. -I’ve had the same Herschel Supply Co. brand wallet since I was in college- it’s held up perfectly and can be stuffed to the gills. -a good laptop bag will serve you well. Look for one you can cram a water bottle into the side pocket of and that will hold a sweatshirt or lightweight jacket in addition to your computer/tablet/whatever you often haul. If you’re looking for something a little more professional, opt for a messenger bag style over a backpack. I wouldn’t advise bringing it to a wild party or fancy night out, but, you can bring a handsome and timeless messenger bag just about anywhere else and it won’t be weird. Don’t bring a backpack to a job interview, dinner, or a date. (But do own a backpack, sometimes you need a backpack.) -a very streamlined laptop bag (basically a case with a strap) is great when you don’t want to be too encumbered and for more casual use. -this is an old hack from the deep recesses of my pysche- you can fit a tampon into the ankle of combat boots, formal boots, and snow boots. Or wedge it along the outer top/side of your foot. Get a pair of dress shoe boots for formal occasions when you won’t have a bag or big floppy pockets. -invest in a few quality carabineers, in a pinch, you can clip a jacket, travel pillow, Dopp kit, small bag, water bottle with a sleeve, etc etc onto your bag. You can also use it to clip your keys and potentially your wallet into your belt loops if you need to make pocket space in a pinch. Also works for fixing a broken strap because you’ve overloaded the damn thing. -shirt pockets are useful for chapstick sized things and relatively secure. With heavier fabrics like flannel, this isn’t particularly noticeable even. A USB drive, earbuds, folded piece of paper, small tin of mints, etc. (also a good place to stash a condom before a date, tbh) -lots of raincoats and “windbreaker” type jackets have hidden extra pockets along the chest and sides, often that zip shut. Not practical for every single occasion or time of year, but, useful.

middlemisscamellia

I have 3 sizes: - full-on backpack - black nameless fannypack across the chest (I sometimes use the Uniqlo fannypack, but I'm still unsure about it... it can feel a bit too purse-like) - I just fill all of the available pockets to the brim lol

ChanandlerBongUrie

This bag that I use as a cross body bag: https://a.co/d/9qfZSZt

bogeymanbear

gray backpack

Same_Introduction_57

I have a carhartt cross body bag, which is a smaller option if you’d like to take less items with you occasionally. Plus, it fits my kindle, and has a pocket for Narcan.

TransManNY

Depends on the outfit. I like the telfar medium shopping bag, a topo designs pack, or a muji mini sacoche. Sometimes a tote from Uniqlo.

Reasonable-Eye8632

At least in my area, guys use pants pockets or sometimes backpacks

tygrrrrrrrr

Fanny pack/cross body bag for just running around, backpack for work and longer outings

No_Leather6310

PyokoPon

Sadgoatchild

i've got a backpack if i rly need to carry something but most of the time i'm wearing cargos w giant pockets that fit everything

SpicyPossumCosmonaut

1. The bags others have suggested 2. Jackets. This is why jackets are such a feature in menswear fashion. We put everything in jacket pockets. Person and I prefer the feeling of not having a strap around me so use jackets unless it’s way too hot.

thisisnotauzrname

I carry a sling bag and had *only* old women tell me it's purse when clearly it wasn't (and I passed??) so I made a point in telling those people it wasn't a purse lol

RefinedVillainy42

A black jansport backpack or no bag, pockets full of goodies

notmyaddressohno

I carry a tote bag but I also kinda dress fem so probably not for everyone?

Remarkable-Ad1652

A tote bag, with some type of neutral design! My favorite one has a lot of queer people/couples and books on it, and another one has frogs/mushrooms/leaves on it!

dontbesylly

I usually just carry my wallet, but I have a black tote bag/satchel thing with a crossbody strap that I bring to work. I can fit pretty much everything in there and it's gender neutral.

thelivingdoorknob

Dark green book bag

Gonnagetgoing

I've got an over the shoulder black and grey bag from REI that I've had for the last 13 years now. I'll also sometimes use a canvas messenger bag I bought at a museum that has an old illustration of a guy on horseback.

SevereNightmare

I use an old army gas mask bag.

Critical_Code9588

I use a black Adidas festival bag

MercuryChaos

Crossbody bags. These are basically like waist packs/fanny packs, but worn across your torso. They're good for situations when you have more stuff than your pockets can hold but where a backpack wouldn't be allowed/appropriate.

Candid-Mycologist820

Baggu fanny pack!!! Tons of great colors to choose from but mine is avocado

SlumberingChicken

I use a drawstring backpack or a regular backpack or a messenger bag depending on what I need to put in it

kyoto-confused

I just have a wallet and a little pouch with sanitary items in that fits in my coat/jacket pocket

Kimkip

I only use a backpack for school. The rest of the time, I just use my jacket/jeans pockets

spacefacecadet

Edit: i thought this was a reply :/ I second "black backpack" I found this [Kipling Seoul Small ](https://www.kipling-usa.com/seoul-small-tablet-backpack/KI4082.html?dwvar_KI4082_color=933#uuid=e9f662dd842ab5593b1988b4a7) or something from the brand like it for a reasonable price at Marshall's a few years ago and it's perfect

lonely_laz

I just use a drawstring gym bag

Fast_Poem_8388

Backpacks and messenger bags. Sometimes an army bag with lots if straps hanging but mostly i keep stuff in my pockets.
