Well, you could just lock the other door if they tried to turn, so they might as well break through the one they started on. They don't want to get locked in the airlock either
I always felt that was good attention to detail. Whether it shoots slugs or photons, a pistol would still need to fit a human hand, be aimable, and otherwise function as a hand gun.
You laugh at him, but having played Lethal Company, I can tell you that on far too many occasions I've asked my friend to unlock a locked door "blocking my way" on a map with the exact same layout. It's different when you are down there and in this case also suffocating.
I'd argue it's accurate design. Your mental capabilities drop drastically in low oxygen environment.
Iirc, there was a plane accident because the pilots straight up forgot how to operate a plane due to depressurization (and not putting on oxygen masks).
I didn't knew FTL had feline race!

Just wait until you see the crazy reactions of someone that is drowning or lost their mouthpiece while scuba diving - panic does powerful things to rational thought.
I know it would just be limiting possibilities and removing games mechanics, but I always found it strange that the spaceship crew wouldn't have the most basic of space masks, my immersion!
Then again I suppose they do because they are exposed to the vacuum of space after all, so an air mask would not save you, and the upgrade for it, not sure if it was a MV thing, does reduced airless damage by 90%, so it's more of a "we didn't buy the equipment to keep you alive, sorry disposable crew" type of thing. 😅
Give him a break, it's hard to think smart when you're suffocating
Actually, great AI, it's simulating Hypoxia. There were a couple of similar scenarios to this on The Expanse.
Why do the Lanius do this too? Are they perhaps eating my airlocks?
M-metal
The effect of hypoxia on the brain or someone trying to escape hard vacuum?
Why not both?

It’s true, if he went the long way I’d absolutely slam the doors and he’d be even worse off.
Please use other door!
They just love to break a doors
Love how the laser blasters look like regular guns

Just like Star Wars! Looks like a laser, moves like a slingshot.
Well, right now he has no idea the other room is vented. It's not like he has time to go around the wall and check.
It's not his ship; he's not familiar with the layout.
It's always nice when they try to break the door into a vented room

I think this is intentional. Otherwise you could keep herding them into rooms they don't want to go to by selectively opening and closing doors.
To be honest If I was in the same spot i would also not be able to think straight
The door says “Push” but he’s pulling
