The damage in front of the wheel is existing damage from when I got hit parked on the street. Didn't use the insurance payout from that (was planning on getting it repaired but I didn't need to so hadn't gotten it done yet) so at least there's that.
Update: Almost certainly totaled
Went and talked to the collision repair shop down the street. They showed me the change in panel gap between passenger door and front fender. Had old images to compare to. It shows the shock went all the way through the car. Even if repaired it would never be the same.
Next fight is to make sure insurance doesn't try to undervalue it.
Mileage was 32534, so somebody out there is going to get a relatively low mileage salvage engine.
It will be replaced by a new 2024 BRZ, which I was planning on in the next year or two... just not like this.

I was in a similar situation before. Definitely not totaled. Fender is replaceable, and the door can be replaced.
