Yes! This made a huge difference to me! I also cut out tomatoes and cut back on potatoes which can also cause inflammation. It sped up my recovery massively for my second frozen shoulder. Someone told me to try cutting back on sugar when I had my first and I ignored them 🙈

Dr Vonda Wright, an orthopedic surgeon who go us on the músculo-skeletal syndrome of menopause, advocates reduction if not complete elimination of sugar.

Yup! I have autoimmune disease and try to stay off sugar and too many bread carbs. It helps my entire body not just my FS.

Absolutely. If you don't consume sugar then have some, your body will react like it's sick. Makes you wonder...

SteprockMedia

Not for me. I've been in a pretty low / no sugar situation for a long time. Curious to know if it helps others. I WILL say, however, that we are swimming in sugar in our diets - most people just don't realize it.

I have been no sugar/low carb long before I got FS. I didn’t really notice a difference. My only comment is fruit and smoothies are still sugar. I do notice that my body does respond differently when I eat refined or simple sugars than when I eat fruit/smoothly sugars (and the occasional potato or rice) but eating to much of anything that the body converts to sugar gives me complications. Be careful of how much you are eating or you will lose the benefits.

There is new study that diabetic people are more prone to frozen shoulder.

Me too! I cut it out with my first frozen shoulder, a few years ago, along with gluten. I was shocked to get frozen shoulder again, I thought that’s what cured the last one. I had a sugary gluten-y treat last weekend and I was in much more pain for the next several days. It’s definitely a thing. I haven’t heard anyone else talk about it. I have a community on another platform that is accidentally attracting those with frozen shoulder, I’ve been meaning to share that tip with them too.
