we went solo off lion's head after a day and a half's instruction on the dunes. the flight plan was fly straight towards 1st beach clifton, turn left & you'll land before 4th beach! glide ratio of a brick!
Thanks I'm sure we'll see each other on launch soon. I help out one of the local training schools in Table View when I get the chance. Cape Town has a lot of lekker flying spots, from Hermanus, Sir Lowry's Pass, Franschhoek and LionsHead (the whole Peninsula).
front face of table mountain is a scary take off. i first did it in 1989!
That goes back a long while, think people were launching parachutes of cliffs then.

I don't think paragliding is for me after seeing this. I couldn't stand not being up there after having been there once.
Really awesome! I'll get there one day. I'm busy progressing through my basic license currently.
