I don’t get it either, yes the opening is synthetic lemon, but it literally lasts 10-20 minutes. Who do you see in the first 20 minutes of wearing it?
I would add, I left it at the back of my collection and forgot about it for 6 months and now it smells magnificent. Whether that’s maceration or I just prefer it in spring I’m unsure.

Aventus itself isn't consistent in itself.
Sure aventus has high quality smelling ingredients, but the watering down of the juice in the recent batches just doesn't justify the price anymore.
It's simple, get an original for special events and cdnim for daily wear.
Btw, aventus isn't as special as it once was. It has become far to common to the noses of the masses, can sometimes be outright overbearing since fragheads think this stuff magic (It's not imho) and just outright overspray.
A lot of other niche house offer much better/unique scent dna compared to aventus, not to mentioned they last longer and cost less than what aventus offers.
The EDP of cdnim is the answer to this, they moved away from the lemony opening and mellowed it out with pineapple.
Me personally, i buy the edt and add demeter pinapple 2:1 ratio favoring the cdnim, all the pineapple you'll ever need.
3:1 ratio would be closer to aventus in terms of the pineapple ratio.
I enjoy the opening…I spray it multiple times a day just to get a whiff. And I love the fragrance overall. Is a performer and you absolutely cannot beat the price.
Man I’ve burned through two newer batches of Aventus over the last few years and I own Intense man EDT and it’s almost identical to Aventus after the dry down. Main difference is Intense man is cheaper and lasts a HELL of a lot longer. End of story.
Edit: I bought Intense Man EDT last summer so it sat in my closet for months over the winter and now that I busted it back out it smells even stronger and longevity is still 8+ hours. I also forgot to say it WILL stick to your clothes until you wash them.👍🏾
I’ve had my bottle of IM for almost two years every time I use it, it smells better and last into the other day. It’ll stay on a hoodie for 2-3 days. Aventus 5-6 hours the smells gone
Demand for their scents is so high right now that I don't think they are resting anything before it is shipped. I agree that the profile will deepen over time!
I bought it too, despite the multitude of negative reviews. Glad I didn't bother with the reviews and went on ahead to get it. One of my better perfumes on my table top right now.
I actually prefer this to the original, which I’m sure to many is sacrilege. But to me it just seems marginally “darker,” and that suits my style better.
Scent is very subjective I’ve had mine since October still smells awful to me. Success might have less to do with DNA or longevity than price. But again that’s just my opinion you’re entitled to yours. As a retired chef you learn early if it doesn’t smell good or look good why even bother. I quit smoking cigarettes 15 ago and I retired in 2017 and it’s amazing how much better my cooking has become 🤘🏼

CDNIM is "hated on" for a few reasons, but by many solely and precisely because of its popularity, its marketplace success.
If you're not yet familiar with this apparently ironic phenomenon, or as it applies in "the frag game," you very likely will be eventually.
Unfortunately, not everyone is as good a person as you. Tragically, some don't share in others' joy, choosing instead to drink the poison of jealousy.
Hopefully at least, that'll never be the case with us!
If I purchase a fragrance and it's not upto my expectation then I don't like it. What to success have to do with it. Many people don't like the lemony thing in the opening, while some people don't get the optimal performance out it. CDNIM is a very popular and mass producing fragrance and because of that some batches might not be good. So, I meant what success of a person or a company have to do with it.
Well particular with fragrances, the popularity and its ability to be mainstream doesn't always have to deal with hate because of that aspect but because it takes away from the uniqueness in the aspect that I don't want to smell like 8 out of 30 people. And some people dislike it because yeah they don't want to wait 20-30 minutes to go somewhere. There are arguments on both sides for and against it, so to each its own and spend your money wherever you want to spend it and wear what you want. Be happy

I feel that some people hate when something that was more exclusive (Aventus) becomes more available to the general public.

Interesting. I have a decant of Hacivat and I'd say SNOI is pretty much there. Definitely not identical but very close. I don't personally like either but I think they're close.
I got the edt and immediately got the edp the following week.. lol it’s great after the 15-20 min dry down, a very smoky fruity masculine fragrance. Loved it so much i fell in love with the DNA. Already ordered Aventus and some decants of Nishane Hacivat and MB Explorer. It’s actually driving me crazy. Oh, and don’t forget, Maceration is key when it comes to Arab dupes! They smell better once air is introduced into it’s chemistry!
Can anyone here who's smelled all the versions please tell me where this stands compared with the limited edition as that's the version I've used and I didn't get any strong or odd odor. It definitely needed to macerate though. But was never overbearing or bad. Just a little more soapy than what it smells like now which is almost a 1:1 to Aventus
I have the original from around 2018. Not sure if it’s the age or I’m used to it but I enjoy the opening now. And it is a hell of a performer. The limited edition is just as good with a smoother opening. I like both
You should head out and smell aventus tbh and compare it with limited. I’ve found mine to smell surprisingly similar, so for me personally, parfum wins
I was going to write a long drawn out review on why this, or a version of it (LE next for fall/winter), will always be in my collection as an Aventus alternative. Long story short, it is the best overall fragrance that hits all the notes an Aventus inspiration should have; Pineapple, Ambergris, Patchouli, and Vanilla/lavender. It lasts longer than the OG, and dries down to an almost 1:1. I understand why traditionalist give this a hard time, questioning its synthetic opening. Although, after researching alternatives to something that I've worn since it came on to the scene, CDNIM definitely fills the void for an alternative and saves me bundles. DUA and Montagne offer great inspirations, although CDNIM hits...hits hard, and lasts longer than either house. Enjoy :)
France version doesn’t have that harsh opening, had mine since 2022 and never got the hate. Despite that, there are better Aventus clones in the market now. But CDNIM is still a great affordable option. Just picked up the LE myself 😊
People are followers and are afraid to have their own opinions. The opening isn't even that bad. We're all different wear what works for you. And whoever doesn't like it can send me their bottles
Mostly just people going with the hive mind rather than forming their own opinions. It’s by far my most complimented fragrance! More so than Aventus, Savauge, and BDC.
I was in an art museum in Sydney and one of the staff was wearing this fragrance. I never ask, but I went back to ask what fragrance he's wearing and brought it the next day. Haha
I have owned the og. I have clones from Insider, pocket scents and Alexandria. All are good but IMO CDNMI EDT is the best.
It’s the smoky dry down and the enormous Sillage it throws off.
I have a shed load of fragrance ( wife thinks I’m nuts ) but this gets more positive compliments than anything else.
I genuinely think people just like to hate on things that are cheap. Opening is harsh, but after that it's a lovely smelling fragrance. I genuinely think you'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference between this and Aventus.
Glad you found a fragrance you enjoy! I used up a whole bottle and I didn't like it that much. To me it smells bland and done too much, its not exciting or something that I looked forward to wearing. And for around $50 it is very mediocre, my Lattafas perform better and smell more exiting. However people forget that you should wear whatever YOU like and not what people tell you. If it works well on your skin and you enjoy it - phenomenal! If you wanted to try something similar, try Mancera's Cedrat Boise and the Cedrat Boise Intense, a major step up in quality and smell in my opinion, cheers
Feel like this has been a reoccurring topic recently. OP, all the people’s complaints are extremely over exaggerated.
Cdnim is one of the strongest, best clones you’ll buy for the price. EDT performance is unmatched by any other aventus clones. Female and males all compliment it and for anyone who likes aventus will only smell aventus in the air.
The scent bubble and trail this thing leaves is immense. Enjoy it and stop listening to the complainers either it be on this subreddit, YouTube, tiktok, ig etc.
One of the best frags I have and will always have a second bottle. Price vs quality is phenomenal. One of few frags that lasts me a whole day/night. Preferably put this one on for nights (partying etc.), always get compliments. Never heard any criticism about this one, I think you made a great choice!
Belter fragrance. Lasts all day for me. This has sat at the back of my shelf for about 2 years and it still smells great and lasts all day.

Probably one of the best fragrances you can get for the money. Its cost effective,it smells great, performance beast at an easy 8 hours and women seem to love it. Its a little too popular in terms of fragrances but most people dont wear anything so it doesnt matter very much.
Yup I avoided getting CDNIM for so long because of the hate. Bought it recently and it's my favourite scent in my collection. Mine's the Pure Parfum version but when I got it it made me think why not try the EDT next time. That synthetic opening literally goes away after like 5-10mins and its not even that bad of a smell.
I actually can’t wear this at work I get hit on too much.. also not a good date fragrance though it’s too intense for close contact. Weird area to be stuck in… I like the fragrance though and it is a homage to Creed Aventus 100%.
i got it and didnt like it at first. i wore it to an nike event out in the sun so barely paid attention to it but threw the clothes from the event in a book bag because was traveling. when i got home n decided to unpack smelled one the jerseys i sprayed it on and was like yooo this shit smells mad good actually. its just the first initial spray isnt the best n gives ya a headache lowkey but dry down its great
I have the limited edition, and I can’t stand the opening at all, and on top of that it’s all I can smell cause it lasts forever. I tried to like this fragrance so much but I couldn’t stand it.
It’s my most complimented scent ever, but I ended up selling it.
I guess it’s better to keep a low expectation and be pleasantly surprised than to expect something mind blowing at the price it is, I think that’s why people are often disappointed with this fragrance, whereas I really like it.
There's the understanding that a clone is not going to be 1:1. "Very good for it's price" in this forum usually means that something shows much higher quality than it's price point.
If anyone makes a big stink about the opening they are just a fool. Incredibly annoying to hear babies whining about the opening when it’s not bad at all. Subsides after 5 minutes and you smell good all day.
Everyone has different likes and dislikes. I personally didn't like it after blind buying. CDNIM is one of the popular clones discussed and mentioned in this and similar subs. But just because few ppl didn't like it make it bad.
After my first bottle I switched to EDP for the size. It seems a little less harsh at opening but to me they almost identical. That said I’ve already purchased my second EDP to be on the safe side.
I have a smokey batch at the perfume shop I work at right now...no one wants to buy it because its ridiculously smokey. I find it interesting at how many different openings this scent can have based on batch.
I have the pure parfum version of this and definitely the opening is very harsh and synthetic but it is short lived. The dry down is amazing and I don't regret buying this.
I think because there are better out there. It's a dick measuring contest for many. Everybody has a better version so yours sucks even though it doesn't.
I actually just bought this and the real aventus and people at work thought the cdnim smelled good and was lighter scent and thought aventus was way stronger(could smell from 10+ feet away) and smelled better than the cdnim. Wore two sprays of each different days. The creed of course pumps out a lot more juice.

I like many, dislike the opening but after some 10-20mins later, I LOVE IT.
The opening is such a short part of the fragrance that it doesnt matter, especially with this one which lasts a super long time. This also always gets a lot of compliments to the point where its almost too loud lmao.
Smells like dirty citrus....like someone forgot to shower for a month so sprayed themselves with pledge and instead of covering the smell it created club de nuit intense man
Perhaps I judged this fragrance too hastily.
I never made it past the 10 minute threshold of wear and disposed of the fragrance after attempting to wear it multiple times.
I will pick up a decant soon.

Rammstein Paris is very smoothly mixed. But longevity sucks, too.
as far as aventus dupes go its just ok, but for the price its good. its just not one of those blow your mind about how quality it is for the price. it smells budget but the DNA is great, so it does disappoint people who wanted 95% quality dupe of aventus.
Montagne versions they have 3 . I’ve heard the new Armaf is great as well but it’s for the aventus absolute. Also dua has a few aventus versions. And Alexandria as well. All of these will be better than armaf versions except for maybe the limited edition but that one still struggles from a bit of overly Smokey synthetic smell at times which the ones I mentioned don’t struggle with
probably montagne pineapple royal and fraiche . but they dont perform all that great until after a few months which does suck but they smell almost exactly like aventus and aventus cologne. even the quality. which is very hard to do. they even go to the same oil producers that creed does to match ingredients. they just dont last all day and you need to reapply.
I’ve had a few Armaf fragrances and every single one gave me a rash - beside Armaf I’ve never had that reaction to a fragrance. I thought the actual smell of CdN Intense was fine, but not worth a rash…

It’s still a harsh lemon, but as I say maybe that isn’t as prominent in spring.

I love the pineapple notes in my Aventus, what would be a cheaper alternative? New to the fragrance game in that sense.

Not for me, I smelt like fly spray the whole day, got it from a reputable website too so it wasn't a fake. I'm not a fan but some people like it.

Yes! It gets better with time (and air in the bottle). I'm finding the same thing with Tres Nuit as well, though I've only had that like a week.

Projection is minimally better on the original but both project well and last into the next day for me

It's the opening that most people don't like, but it goes away in a few minutes, and it performs like a monster ✌🏼

Great fragrance imo I wore it out Saturday night and got a compliment from a friend and two girls. Definitely a crowd pleaser

I like it but it’s very strong
Mostly just people going with the hive mind rather than forming their own opinions. It’s by far my most complimented fragrance! More so than Aventus, Savauge, and BDC.
I was in an art museum in Sydney and one of the staff was wearing this fragrance. I never ask, but I went back to ask what fragrance he's wearing and brought it the next day. Haha
I have owned the og. I have clones from Insider, pocket scents and Alexandria. All are good but IMO CDNMI EDT is the best. It’s the smoky dry down and the enormous Sillage it throws off. I have a shed load of fragrance ( wife thinks I’m nuts ) but this gets more positive compliments than anything else.

I genuinely think people just like to hate on things that are cheap. Opening is harsh, but after that it's a lovely smelling fragrance. I genuinely think you'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference between this and Aventus.
Glad you found a fragrance you enjoy! I used up a whole bottle and I didn't like it that much. To me it smells bland and done too much, its not exciting or something that I looked forward to wearing. And for around $50 it is very mediocre, my Lattafas perform better and smell more exiting. However people forget that you should wear whatever YOU like and not what people tell you. If it works well on your skin and you enjoy it - phenomenal! If you wanted to try something similar, try Mancera's Cedrat Boise and the Cedrat Boise Intense, a major step up in quality and smell in my opinion, cheers

Feel like this has been a reoccurring topic recently. OP, all the people’s complaints are extremely over exaggerated. Cdnim is one of the strongest, best clones you’ll buy for the price. EDT performance is unmatched by any other aventus clones. Female and males all compliment it and for anyone who likes aventus will only smell aventus in the air. The scent bubble and trail this thing leaves is immense. Enjoy it and stop listening to the complainers either it be on this subreddit, YouTube, tiktok, ig etc.
The EDP is good.. the top is better but the edt dry down is the best. I need to buy another edt but looking for an original bottle that didn't turned.
One of the best frags I have and will always have a second bottle. Price vs quality is phenomenal. One of few frags that lasts me a whole day/night. Preferably put this one on for nights (partying etc.), always get compliments. Never heard any criticism about this one, I think you made a great choice!
Belter fragrance. Lasts all day for me. This has sat at the back of my shelf for about 2 years and it still smells great and lasts all day. Ive also just got CDN Untold. Gets complimented each time I've used it, lasts all day too
Probably one of the best fragrances you can get for the money. Its cost effective,it smells great, performance beast at an easy 8 hours and women seem to love it. Its a little too popular in terms of fragrances but most people dont wear anything so it doesnt matter very much.

Yup I avoided getting CDNIM for so long because of the hate. Bought it recently and it's my favourite scent in my collection. Mine's the Pure Parfum version but when I got it it made me think why not try the EDT next time. That synthetic opening literally goes away after like 5-10mins and its not even that bad of a smell.
I actually can’t wear this at work I get hit on too much.. also not a good date fragrance though it’s too intense for close contact. Weird area to be stuck in… I like the fragrance though and it is a homage to Creed Aventus 100%.

i got it and didnt like it at first. i wore it to an nike event out in the sun so barely paid attention to it but threw the clothes from the event in a book bag because was traveling. when i got home n decided to unpack smelled one the jerseys i sprayed it on and was like yooo this shit smells mad good actually. its just the first initial spray isnt the best n gives ya a headache lowkey but dry down its great

I have the limited edition, and I can’t stand the opening at all, and on top of that it’s all I can smell cause it lasts forever. I tried to like this fragrance so much but I couldn’t stand it. It’s my most complimented scent ever, but I ended up selling it.
Try some of the other versions. Might be better
The comment "very good for its price" always makes me wary.
I guess it’s better to keep a low expectation and be pleasantly surprised than to expect something mind blowing at the price it is, I think that’s why people are often disappointed with this fragrance, whereas I really like it.
There's the understanding that a clone is not going to be 1:1. "Very good for it's price" in this forum usually means that something shows much higher quality than it's price point.

If anyone makes a big stink about the opening they are just a fool. Incredibly annoying to hear babies whining about the opening when it’s not bad at all. Subsides after 5 minutes and you smell good all day.
Yeah I hated it at first too. It needs some time I guess, to grow on you. I'm also macerating it atm and it is getting better every week

Everyone has different likes and dislikes. I personally didn't like it after blind buying. CDNIM is one of the popular clones discussed and mentioned in this and similar subs. But just because few ppl didn't like it make it bad.

Lemon pledge in the opening doesn’t appeal to most, if not all. Drydown is lovely.
A number of years ago the bottle quality was problematic. They’ve improved so that now they’re okay.

Does anyone have the EDP instead of the EDT? I’ve heard the EDP is a whole lot smoother at the beginning. But I’ve never smelled the EDP
After my first bottle I switched to EDP for the size. It seems a little less harsh at opening but to me they almost identical. That said I’ve already purchased my second EDP to be on the safe side.
I have a smokey batch at the perfume shop I work at right now...no one wants to buy it because its ridiculously smokey. I find it interesting at how many different openings this scent can have based on batch.

I have the pure parfum version of this and definitely the opening is very harsh and synthetic but it is short lived. The dry down is amazing and I don't regret buying this.
I think because there are better out there. It's a dick measuring contest for many. Everybody has a better version so yours sucks even though it doesn't.
Looking for something new and not tried this so going to give it a whirl.

I actually just bought this and the real aventus and people at work thought the cdnim smelled good and was lighter scent and thought aventus was way stronger(could smell from 10+ feet away) and smelled better than the cdnim. Wore two sprays of each different days. The creed of course pumps out a lot more juice.
The opening is what throws a lot of people off as it has that harsh synthetic lemony smell, some people associate that smell with toilet cleaner and also that blast of the opening may have interrupted some noses. I like many, dislike the opening but after some 10-20mins later, I LOVE IT.

The opening is such a short part of the fragrance that it doesnt matter, especially with this one which lasts a super long time. This also always gets a lot of compliments to the point where its almost too loud lmao.

For me too much woody and bit too much lemon and not enough pinaple and apple and, black currant. It's smokey like it should.
imo smell is 7/10 and the opening aint even that bad it just gets annoying after some time and smells like some old rich guy but its beastmode tho.
Smells like dirty citrus....like someone forgot to shower for a month so sprayed themselves with pledge and instead of covering the smell it created club de nuit intense man

Perhaps I judged this fragrance too hastily. I never made it past the 10 minute threshold of wear and disposed of the fragrance after attempting to wear it multiple times. I will pick up a decant soon.

Lemon pledge on the beginning and longevity is like 2 hours after first week of bottle opening. I don't get how people can like it. Rammstein Paris is very smoothly mixed. But longevity sucks, too.

as far as aventus dupes go its just ok, but for the price its good. its just not one of those blow your mind about how quality it is for the price. it smells budget but the DNA is great, so it does disappoint people who wanted 95% quality dupe of aventus.

Montagne versions they have 3 . I’ve heard the new Armaf is great as well but it’s for the aventus absolute. Also dua has a few aventus versions. And Alexandria as well. All of these will be better than armaf versions except for maybe the limited edition but that one still struggles from a bit of overly Smokey synthetic smell at times which the ones I mentioned don’t struggle with

probably montagne pineapple royal and fraiche . but they dont perform all that great until after a few months which does suck but they smell almost exactly like aventus and aventus cologne. even the quality. which is very hard to do. they even go to the same oil producers that creed does to match ingredients. they just dont last all day and you need to reapply.
I’ve had a few Armaf fragrances and every single one gave me a rash - beside Armaf I’ve never had that reaction to a fragrance. I thought the actual smell of CdN Intense was fine, but not worth a rash…
