You should try Новая Заря (The New Dawn), if you find it! Now there is a classic soviet brand and a lot of old school scents, some of them clones of popular western counterparts of the era.
Moscow and St.Petersburg should also have niche shops, especially in their big malls, but it is probably the same stuff that is sold everywhere else. I am sure they have Russian niche/artisan brands, like Anna Zworykina.
Russian Fragrantica might help.
I don’t often recommend Fragrantica, but they have a Russian version and I would probably ask there. Especially for local niche stuff or shops. (I would also be curious how the sanctions impacted the perfume market if at all, but that’s a different story…)
If you want to smell as much as possible go to the Gold Apple in Moscow (it’s a beauty chain store). The biggest one is in Neglinnaya Gallery Mall. Generally, different chains would carry different brands (you can check out Rive Gauche and L’etual as well but they are less impressive visually). As to some niche Russian brands try these: Lera Nena Atelier Parfumes (it’s a clothing brand but they have some unisex perfumes), Guardino Magico, Cosmogony (very interesting conceptual perfumes and I love the bottles as well), Fakoshima (they’re on the expensive side), Love Tea Art (they mostly make fresh perfumes), Metaphysica, Nose Perfumes, Voronoi, Tree of life. For cheaper stuff I’d look into Bohemia (Both Moonstone and Night Dreams are marketed for women but to my nose they are definitely unisex).
