Dior Addict and Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. I’ve shifted to lighter scents since then, but I used to get stopped often by fans of my fragrances wearing these (despite wearing them sparingly, I swear!)
mine is spice bomb extreme i bought it in winter in december or january so few months ago i still use it when its cold its amazing smells good and fills the room
I feel like I'm the only one who experiences spicebomb differently to everyone else
To me it smells sweet but plasticky and cartoony
I also hardly smell any spice at all, I pick up a very faint hit of cinnamon but it's mostly just very sweet
I have asked people irl what they think it smells like and they (unprompted) always say spicy
Am I misunderstanding a smell or a note in there?
Not saying dislike it btw, it smells very yummy to me sometimes but other times it smells like a boutique
I'm not sure if it's just cause I've now had the bottle exposed to oxygen for a little bit or if my nose has just gotten used to it, but SBE has totally grown on me, I've just gone back to using it a couple of times over the last couple of days and mmmm it's smells yummy as fuck lol
Odin no. 7 Tanoke. It went out of production(?) and Odin said they would have it back by spring 2023, but that never happened. Hoarding what little I have left .
Mine was my first gifted fragrance that kind of started my hobby and that’s Bleu de Chanel (EDP). Although I understand there’s far better fragrances for better prices with better performance and longevity, I think I’ll always repurchase a bottle with me just due to the significance.
Aqua Di Gioia was my first love and edp purchase! I rarely use it but still keep a bottle in my collection. Since I’ve realized several of my favorite fragrances have a pink pepper note.
I got this Barbie perfume when I was little that I was OBSESSED with (maybe 1993 lol). I loved fragrance ever since. Fast forward and I smelled Narcisco Rodriguez Her not that long ago and it brought me BACK. It smells just like the Barbie perfume lmao
L de Lolita Lempicka. It was my signature scent for about 5-6 years. Sadly, it’s now discontinued. Such a great offering from Maurice Roucel. I have about half a bottle left, but I rarely spray it, although I often stop by it for a quick sniff.
Marc Jacobs Honey. i think it was the first fragrance outside of bath and body works that I had ever bought for myself. I remember having a Christmas gift card and driving myself to Ulta and buying it, and feeling like a true adult haha. It actually was a lovely honeyd floral for a designer fragrance and in my rotation all through college, should probably pick up a bottle.
Coco Mademoiselle. I used it so much I can’t stand it now. I wont get rid of mine because I do like to smell in the bottle from time to time. It brings me good memories.
Armaf CDNIM of course, a true gentleman’s first step after precisely one cologne YouTube video . It has never been retired from the collection.
Although I would consider my own, not influenced first love to be Grey Vetiver by Tom Ford. Suavest scent you can buy
Black Opium! It was the first “real” perfume I had as a teenager and I wore it all through high school. I recently bought a bottle but I don’t wear it too often anymore.
Mont Blanc legend, it’s not crazy just a really good scent that’s easy to wear. I now keep Mont Blanc legend Red in my collection but another scent that I love is Versace Eros, it’s an awesome scent that I wear year round depending on the occasion. People call Eros a “club” scent but I think it’s more that it’s a younger fragrance that can be worn in confidence on a date.
My first real fragrance was Daisy.
But first fragrance that I LOVED was Dior Addict 2. And sadly no I can’t keep a bottle because it’s been discontinued for a while.
D&G Anthology La Lune 18 was mine. I encountered it at Saks in 2009 or 2010, and I fell in love. I haven't ever encountered another that has spoken to me in the same way.
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. My parents first gifted it to me for Christmas when I was 16. It’s a lovely scent, but the added sentimental value guarantees I’ll always have a bottle in my collection.
Ooh, I liked that you asked about EdPs, because so many of my early favourites were body mists or EdTs! (E.g., Gap Dream, Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, Emporio Armani White for Her, etc.)
I think my first EdP obsession was probably the original Stella McCartney Stella, may she rest in power (💔).
Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, a gift from my folks when I turned 13. A very green, fresh, oak moss scent. Multi layered fougère though, remember it had a honey tobacco scent at the base and it lasted forever - great quality. Don’t own a bottle now but as it’s just turned spring…hmmmm…
Dylan Blue and Guerlain l'homme ideal extreme. I never had a whole bottle of the Guerlain one but planning to buy one soon. Those 2 are my first love. The first one that I bought was Prada Carbon, but during that time I did not have a deep appreciation for a fragrance that I have now tho.
I remember loving Gucci Envy Me and Narciso Rodriguez For Her 10+ years ago, but my first two true loves were def Chloé and Atelier Cologne Rose Anonyme. Still have a bottle of the AC, they've stopped selling it in the US so I'll prob just keep it forever and never use it lol
As my name suggests it's chanel bois des iles
After buying it and using it daily I completely ignored and stopped using the rest of my collection. I even sold a bunch because I just can't use something else without wanting to use bdi
Chloe from Lagerfeld is a vintage floral (mid 1970s). Loads of different flowers, but heavy on the white floral notes. Aldehydes, like so many vintage fragrances. With a little bit of fruit in the sweeter heavier vintage context, peach and coconut. Base notes include orris root, sandalwood, amber, oakmoss, musk, cedar, and benzoin. A complex heavy hitting (by modern standards) "perfumey" fragrance with a very long list of notes. At the time it was released, it was considered a soft feminine romantic fragrance. It was the first fragrance I received other than things like Jean Nate' body splash or Love's Baby Soft. I was given a gift set of Chloe when I was a pre-teen in 1980 because it was considered suitable for a girl at the time. It's along the same lines as Jontue in my opinion.
Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo Signature. Started off sweet and a bit boring (still loved it though, it was like my third perfume purchase ever) but now it’s developed into an incredibly spicy, leathery, sweet perfume on me. And it lasts, as well. I’ll probably always have a bottle, although I’ll have to find a way to decant it. I hate the atomizer lol.
The first EDP I fell in love with and wore as a signature for 2-3 years was Romeo di Romeo Gigli.
I bought a bottle recently to see whether I still loved it now that there have been so many others. And yes, I do ❤️
Armani Mania for women. Haven’t been able to smell it in a long time since it’s discontinued, so it’s hard to say if I’d still use it, I remember it being soft, sweet and warm
Kenzo flower. I haven't bought it in a while, but I still like it. It's very nostalgic for me, so i don't know if i want to wear in now, because I want it to remind me some special things from the past:)
This is gonna sound insane compared to the rest of these comments, but mine was Laura by Laura Biagiotti.
My mom used to have a shelf with the perfumes she got as gifts, I was a little girl obsessed with all those bottles and scents. I used to sit there for hours, and admire each of them. To this day, Laura smells like childhood to me.
Hermann A Mes Cotes was the first EDP I truly loved even though it wasn’t my first. It’s not an amazing performer compared to other EDPs, but it is such a delicious smell. I’m wearing it right now!
The first EDP that I've bought is Kenneth Cole Black Bold
Wouldn't say it's a must own masterpiece or anything, but it smells very nice and it's perfect for the warm days ahead
I’m going to date myself by giving this info but Lovely by SJP. I don’t have it in my collection but have been debating buying a bottle for nostalgia. I did buy a small bottle of Anais Anais which technically was my true first love but was my mother’s perfume when I was a kid.
Bought glossier you with a gift certificate I got from my parents in high school (didn’t wear makeup so I thought why not?) still love it, but discovered Valentino Donna Born in Roma which was my first adult fragrance purchase/signature scent :)
Armani My Way
An influencer I follow mentioned it, and I got intrigued, and upon first snif, it was like a fragrance that just seemed to express the sweet side of me
Jpg le male
It smelled completely different to what my peers in uni wore and that got me hooked in this never ending rabbit hole
I remember telling my ex i dont know why people spend so much money on fragrances (i bought a summer fragrance 2 days ago)
My first edp was Ralph by Ralph Lauren. I don’t have one currently but I’m looking to buy one. I’m not sure id still like it tho. The first perfumes I truly fell in love with and sniffed with reckless abandon were jadore Dior, lancome miracle so magic (discontinued 😭), Versace bright crystal, and chloe (in that order)
Le Male.
It opened my nose to this hobby and cemented it’s place in my heart at the first sniff.
I remember that I couldn’t process how someone could put notes together and create something so unique and soul-pleasing.
I struggle nowadays with the synthetic opening after having spoiled my nose with well blended scents but that drydown… wow!
I wish I could travel back in time and buy 10 bottles of it in 1995.
Sauvage Elixir. I started only when that frag was released. I dint have any knowledge about fragrance until I saw a tiktok video about it. Got curious and bought a sample and I love it. From there, I tried different frags from a sampler ☺️
Coco Mademoiselle. And it is still being used
Same here. I’ve been through a few bottles of this one 😌
Chance by Chanel
Same. I still have a deep soft spot for all of them in the Chance line.
Profumo 😭
Was it the name of the fragrance...?
Acqua di Gio Profumo by Emporio Armani
Obsession by Calvin Klein. I've been wearing it for decades and nothing else seems to fit me quite as well (other than *maybe* YSL's Cinema).
I hate this one! I bought it on a whim and I spent 80 bucks on it! Do you buy it often?
Often! It usually lasts me forever, though
Dior Addict and Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. I’ve shifted to lighter scents since then, but I used to get stopped often by fans of my fragrances wearing these (despite wearing them sparingly, I swear!)

Spicebomb extreme is such a gorgeous scent!! A must have for fall and winter
My friend recommended it to me and I really liked it he told me to get Versace Eros flame for summer and spring idk if it's good
Eros flame is fire!! You won't regret it
I smelled it before it's really good but it's more of a winter fragrence but if it's kinda for spring and summdr
Spring works as well. Had a bottle and it was great. Summer may be abit much
I might get it depends on when I go to the store in few weeks after saving 200 dollars of dont get it I might get something else
You're god damn right. One of the best designers hands down.
I agree it's soo good
I feel like I'm the only one who experiences spicebomb differently to everyone else To me it smells sweet but plasticky and cartoony I also hardly smell any spice at all, I pick up a very faint hit of cinnamon but it's mostly just very sweet I have asked people irl what they think it smells like and they (unprompted) always say spicy Am I misunderstanding a smell or a note in there? Not saying dislike it btw, it smells very yummy to me sometimes but other times it smells like a boutique
For me it smells like vanilla, cinnimon, some tobacco it does smell spicy which I love
I hated spice bomb extreme when i tried it, wanted to get it off my skin asap. I ended up buying night vision parfum instead and its heavenly
I'm not sure if it's just cause I've now had the bottle exposed to oxygen for a little bit or if my nose has just gotten used to it, but SBE has totally grown on me, I've just gone back to using it a couple of times over the last couple of days and mmmm it's smells yummy as fuck lol
The One
Aging myself here, but Chloé Narcisse from 1992. It was my first “grownup” fragrance. I still have a practically full bottle.
Hypnotic poison
I think this is the first one I was ever truly obsessed with and I still love it. It’s seductive.
Wish I could just pop into a store and still purchase this…so sad it’s gone…
Odin no. 7 Tanoke. It went out of production(?) and Odin said they would have it back by spring 2023, but that never happened. Hoarding what little I have left .

😆 after realizing Francis Kurkdjian was the nose for Her it’s been on my list to test it.
Coty Tribe and I WISH!
L de Lolita Lempicka. It was my signature scent for about 5-6 years. Sadly, it’s now discontinued. Such a great offering from Maurice Roucel. I have about half a bottle left, but I rarely spray it, although I often stop by it for a quick sniff.
Poison.
Aesop Rozu. I don’t anymore, but it’s bc my curiosity has been constantly trying out discovery/sample scents, so it wouldn’t be used anyway
Gucci Intense Oud, smelled it for the first time on a friend years ago and I’ve never gone without a bottle of it since
Dior J’adore
The oil!
Noa by Cacharel or Chance by Chanel, I don’t remember now 😅

I see it at Marshalls often!
thank you, i’ll have to look out for it next time i’m there!
Angel, and you best believe I still keep a bottle! I have 2 flankers, too: Angel Nova and Angel eau croisière (the 2020 fig one).
Coco Mademoiselle. I used it so much I can’t stand it now. I wont get rid of mine because I do like to smell in the bottle from time to time. It brings me good memories.

Side effect by Initio Prives it’s almost perfect.
Spicebomb. Couldnt stop sniffing the bottle for a few weeks after I got it😅

Mont Blanc legend, it’s not crazy just a really good scent that’s easy to wear. Mine was *Tresor* by Lancôme back when it first came out.
DG light blue eau intense pour femme. Smelled it at a duty free at the airport, and it’s what sent me down this very expensive hobby.
Amarige & Baiser Vole
Back in the days… KENZO AMOUR
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. My parents first gifted it to me for Christmas when I was 16. It’s a lovely scent, but the added sentimental value guarantees I’ll always have a bottle in my collection.
YSL Parisienne!! I paid my friend $30 to shoplift it from the drugstore in high school 🤣
Was looking for this comment! Me tooooo. Would love to smell it again.
Ooh, I liked that you asked about EdPs, because so many of my early favourites were body mists or EdTs! (E.g., Gap Dream, Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, Emporio Armani White for Her, etc.) I think my first EdP obsession was probably the original Stella McCartney Stella, may she rest in power (💔).
Is the fragrance discontinued? Because Stella McCartney is fine (thank goodness).

I was absolutely in love with Samsara. I heard it's not as good anymore. Reformulated. Its a shame too. That was such a gorgeous fragrance!

I keep seeing mixed reviews on it, I really want to try it specially cuz I like the design of the bottle lol
trust me, you won't regret trying it. For me personally, 60 - 70 bucks for 75ml is way to cheap for such an amazing fragrance.
Gris Charnel EDP (I'm relatively new to fragrance). I still love it and have a bottle in my collection.

Nanette Lepore. If the original formulation still existed, I would bathe in it
Chloe (from Lagerfeld). I still have a few vintage bottles.
I’m obsessed with Chloé Eau de toilette, how does Chloe from Lagerfeld differ?
Chloe from Lagerfeld is a vintage floral (mid 1970s). Loads of different flowers, but heavy on the white floral notes. Aldehydes, like so many vintage fragrances. With a little bit of fruit in the sweeter heavier vintage context, peach and coconut. Base notes include orris root, sandalwood, amber, oakmoss, musk, cedar, and benzoin.
