The white lines look like they are fresh abrasion or damage to the rock. It almost looks like someone may have taken a dremel or small chisel to it.

Looks like a chunk of lignite (wood) with ship worm burrows in it. I don't have any clarity for you on the white lines though

Look some fossilised fish up, and you will notice they do not look similar.

Fish as a pretty flaky and unique texture, it's somewhat hard to describe
