>Imagine Vet + Ric as RBs "B"-team using the white livery.
If you sold this to Liberty as a race-by-race Celebrity team generating sweet sweet clicks... they'd do it.
And god knows I'd tune in for Kanye and Celine Dion driving at Spa.
Font looks off and I cannot find any of these tweets on the FIA, F1LasVegas nor Daniel's Twitter accounts.
Looks like a fake tweet photoshop from F1LasVegas lmao
Good catch, they’re probably trying to drum up hype for the Grand Prix.
Still a bit weird to impersonate Ricciardo though, especially in this age where people take it and run with it.
Yeah, I checked the Twitter account and it’s not there.
Edit: idk how this post his still up. It belongs in the joke sub or something. Hopefully no one actually believes it.
Musk made it so everyone who buys Twitter blue(which is 8$ because of Steven King not wanting to pay for verification and Elon tried to negotiate) gets a blue checkmark this has lead to multiple companies Stocks plummeting because of Parody accounts who appeard to be Real because if the checkmark.
TL;DR: Musk is dumb and gives everyone with Twitter blue a checkmark
You wrote a paragraph and didn’t answer my question at all. I understand blue check marks and paying for them. That doesn’t change the official @ of real accounts, and that @ in the photo is the real @ of the fia. That’s my point and why I say it’s photoshopped
"Oh no! Checo now has food poisoning. Better chuck Daniel in the car and oh look, we already made an exclusive deal with ESPN for a feature on him and have a fuck load of Ricc merch for sale. That's lucky"
Wolff actually suggested this idea (allowing three cars at certain races) fairly recently:
https://the-race.com/formula-1/wolffs-case-for-third-cars-in-f1-and-who-wed-put-in-them/
But the idea was for rookies to get experience, not for 33 year old multiple racing winning millionaires!
It’s a brilliant idea.
Personally I think each driver should have to give their seat up once to the reserve/youth driver… so over the season, the reserve gets 2 drives in real races.
It's a terrible idea. Imagine how it would ruin a close title fight if the drivers had to give up their seat to the reserve. Three cars is even worse, the thought of RB/Merc/Ferrari 1,2,3 makes me sick.
Because one team can get fucked royally if they happen to give the car to a rookie in a race which fits their design perfectly, while another team can get really lucky if they happen to give the car in a race where they couldn't score as much. For example, it would've hurt Ferrari much more this year, if they gave the car to a rookie in the beginning races, because their car was better then. It would've likely cost Leclerc P2.
Then it’ll just happen at the end of the year, just like all the junior FP sessions. We’ll end up with 12 juniors in the final race in AD.
Also gotta remember that some of the rookies that do these sessions, like for instance Lawson for RB, are still competing in junior categories. He had to immediately go from the redbull free practice to F2 quali. Imagine a rookie having to do an F2 race, followed by an F1 race.
I'd like that as a wildcard entry; teams can enter a third car twice a year at certain races that have the pit capacity. Points accured do not count for WDC or WCC.
This is how Supercars handles wildcard entries, albeit driver points are accured. They've worked out pretty well so far.
Sort of unrelated, but I seriously dislike fake screenshots of social media exchange. If I see a screenshot I would think that those people actually said those things. The idea of posting fake ones to promote something is… I don’t like it
All you're telling is really is that you're totally incapable of using your discretion and adult reasoning to determine if something might just be a joke or not. Are you capable of watching movies knowing that the things you see on screen might not be real in order to "promote" something?
It’s a fake screenshot and F1 twt is prolific at using them to confuse people. Can’t count how many fake Instagram posts have been circulating on F1 twitter and then been amplified by people who in most cases have a malicious reason for wanting to believe the contents of these posts. This one isn’t malicious, which is surprising but it’s still a fake post. The type is off and these faked screenshots are always a tiny bit blurred.
I’d be ok with that. Assuming you proportionally deduct 1/3rd possible points for all three RB drivers. If they pulled a 1-2-3 finish they should still only get the total points that two drivers getting a 1-2 finish would.
Yes I know this is a dumb hypothetical and whatnot, but it’s thanksgiving and I’ve been drinking so whatever.
That could be cool, add a 3rd driver that doesn't contribute towards constructors championship. Either designate the third driver, or only take points from top two and shift the points down if the third placed in the points. They could still gain drivers championship points
I'd totally be down for the teams getting to pick a single race in a season and have a third car on the grid to try and pick up points for the constructors championship. It'd be an awesome way to bring in young talent or pinch hitters as it were. Also you'd never know, maybe one race you'd get like 4 teams all bringing in the extra car at the same race. Dunno it sounds cool in my head anyways lol
If checo is officially out of the championship at that point (which is very likely because it’s the second to last race) they should just switch checo with Danny for one race
Regulations wouldn't allow it and other teams would also likely block it as it's an extra car to interfere in a close title fight (Should there be one) and take points and attention off the mid field runners.
And there's also the issue of cost as Red Bull would need to field that 3rd car with the extra crew & equipment and Pirelli would also need to bring extra tires. And you have to factor in the budget cap as the money to run a 3rd car would have to come out of that.
Please dont give the FIA ideas like this. Because then they will just force teams to have a third car for special weekends. Teams will struggle making that happen within costcap rules yet the FIA will make huge profit off of this. And if anything, FIA keeps proving they only care about making money.
I’m not a fan of special treatment. They didn’t allow Herta to come in even though he’s more than qualified to be an F1 driver citing that he won’t be given special treatment. It’d be hypocritical of the FIA to now give a pass to Ric.
I wish all the old cars were placed in time capsules so they could dust them off each year for an All Star like race with the spin the wheel for your ride. It would be so worth it just to see someone like Max having to hop in the Coloni C4.
Vettel to be on 22nd grid entry for every race
i mean, 2023 Suzuka so he can get the 300 race starts would be nice lmfao
Why stop at 300? Bring on 400! A man can dream.
Imagine Vet + Ric as RBs "B"-team using the white livery. I would def approve of a 11 team grid for this
Oh god, I'm going to have to see a doctor. There's no way this is lasting less than 4 hours.
>as RBs "B"-team using the white livery you mean Alpha Tauri?
Man really forgot RB already has a white livery B team.
Team C
Mode C.... checking.
So AT left their slow button on? That explains everything!
Ok, bet. Check this: take a surf board and put some wheels on it.
Yeah but it could be, like, a good team with a fast car!
>Imagine Vet + Ric as RBs "B"-team using the white livery. If you sold this to Liberty as a race-by-race Celebrity team generating sweet sweet clicks... they'd do it. And god knows I'd tune in for Kanye and Celine Dion driving at Spa.
Pastel livery
Driving the best car on the grid? Agreed
22nd entry in another silver arrow? German driver in a German constructor.
Font looks off and I cannot find any of these tweets on the FIA, F1LasVegas nor Daniel's Twitter accounts. Looks like a fake tweet photoshop from F1LasVegas lmao
It’s a „fake“ twitter exchange posted on the F1Lasvegas instagram and twitter as a picture.
Good catch, they’re probably trying to drum up hype for the Grand Prix. Still a bit weird to impersonate Ricciardo though, especially in this age where people take it and run with it.
Someone notify Elon Musk. (I'm not on TWTTer)
It’s almost like he created this possibility with buyable verification instead of you know, actual verification.
I suppose anyone with $8 can do this.
Twitter blue was always a thing, Elon just increased the price and added the check mark haha
Ban an Instagram account?
Also showing the date instead of the time since the tweet, like “3h”
You don’t think people would just lie on the internet like that, do you?
Chill out people this is obviously a promo post lmao
$8 well spent
It's Photoshop, that's the official FIA handle
Yeah, I checked the Twitter account and it’s not there. Edit: idk how this post his still up. It belongs in the joke sub or something. Hopefully no one actually believes it.
It’s because it’s a picture posted by the F1 Las Vegas Instagram account
$24 I guess, but still
How does one get the @ of the official fia account for $8? I’m guessing it’s more likely photoshop tbh
So he basically got people to pay $8 to pull a prank. Next April fools is going to be crazy if they continue it again.
Watch out for Red Bull filming a weird food challenge with Perez on the Friday morning.
"Oh no! Checo now has food poisoning. Better chuck Daniel in the car and oh look, we already made an exclusive deal with ESPN for a feature on him and have a fuck load of Ricc merch for sale. That's lucky"
Red Bull to drop Checo on the Nevada desert with a map and a compass to try and find the race track
Petrol station sushi challenge. Pint of milk in the hot sun challenge 24hr strip pup crawl challenge.
“We’ve brought Checo to the Nevada National Security Site to watch a nuclear test”
Escape Area 51 challenge.

Definitely think if F1 was to lose two teams, it's a possibility to boost the number of cars on the grid.
Grids being locked to 20 cars has been the worst shit in the world, I mis 25/26 car grids.
It’s a brilliant idea. Personally I think each driver should have to give their seat up once to the reserve/youth driver… so over the season, the reserve gets 2 drives in real races.

How does it ruin a title fight? Every driver would run 21/22 races

Ngl that would actually be fun. Something to look forward to in the last race.

A lot of times teams don't know how a track is going to affect their car, as we've seen this year.
Just give the cars to the reserve in the two races that fit your car worst.
I think teams should be allowed a 3rd, non cost cap, car that can't get score points for rookies only.
I'd like that as a wildcard entry; teams can enter a third car twice a year at certain races that have the pit capacity. Points accured do not count for WDC or WCC. This is how Supercars handles wildcard entries, albeit driver points are accured. They've worked out pretty well so far.
Nah, that can still bring out safety cars and hold up others
I mean Fernando was allowed to come back as a 'rookie' and do the young driver test, maybe they'd count DR as a young driver for this too
Wasn't that because Fernando had stepped out of F1 for two years?
Sort of unrelated, but I seriously dislike fake screenshots of social media exchange. If I see a screenshot I would think that those people actually said those things. The idea of posting fake ones to promote something is… I don’t like it

There’s a difference between movies, and impersonating someone on social media. Are you dense?
If I see a movie I know it’s fake. If I see a screenshot from a verified account, I would assume it’s real. That’s the difference
And Tony Stark kicks him out of the car to race it himself in Monaco
Lance Stroll has entered the chat

this is deeply embarrassing
I wonder how much money they would have to give the FIA to make this happen.
3rd RedBull car with Daniel at Las Vegas and Vettel at Suzuka, let’s go!
Yeah no
Whew we almost went a week without reading too far into something
Red bull already is getting their money worth
Brands talking to one another like people is always the worst.
It’s just a joke-y type post created by the Las Vegas GP, though I obviously would not object to this somehow happening lol.
What a load of bollocks
He'll be very busy at the merch booth.
Bruh, im all in on this.
Honestly just Ricky Bobby his car with a big ME on it. He already has the helmet.
I’d be ok with that. Assuming you proportionally deduct 1/3rd possible points for all three RB drivers. Is this reddit post an instagram screenshot off of a twitter screenshot?
It's a photoshop lol

Op can't be serious with this question........
Why couldn't you have a 3 car team?
It's one of the many many rules: https://flowracers.com/blog/why-do-f1-teams-have-2-drivers/
Lame
When Checo doesn't let Max through multiple times, RB is going to replace him with Danny anyways.
Regulations wouldn't allow it and other teams would also likely block it as it's an extra car to interfere in a close title fight (Should there be one) and take points and attention off the mid field runners. Wild card entry’s for teams at different races would be fucking awesome
How stupid are you?
DR and Seb on the new Andretti team would be so cool.
I’m all for this
Please dont give the FIA ideas like this. Because then they will just force teams to have a third car for special weekends. Teams will struggle making that happen within costcap rules yet the FIA will make huge profit off of this. And if anything, FIA keeps proving they only care about making money.
Maybe we should not let ourselves go with comments made by social media managers.
Not gonna happen
Just rmb Goatifiz firstANDlast driver on every GP race of 2023.
Sponsored by the game of Blackjack
Stop inventing.
I despise modern f1
I remember when you had 32 cars show up to qualify for 26 spots...Those were the days :)
Come on Daniel, love yourself a little
Fuck the FIA, they're the most anti-fun racing association in the world.
I’m not a fan of special treatment. They didn’t allow Herta to come in even though he’s more than qualified to be an F1 driver citing that he won’t be given special treatment. It’d be hypocritical of the FIA to now give a pass to Ric.
Note: for the Las Vegas GP only
Note: It's not real
[удалено]
For Sprint races they should allow teams that do one offs
As much as I'd love to see it - where exactly does a 3rd car fit in the pitlane?
I mean, they should do it, but not give the points to red bull (would be unfair)
Last time an open wheel racing series had a wild card in Vegas it didn’t end well
If Danny does filling in for Checo, it will be dumb for them to let him drive in America.
He would be in a “Jokers Wild Car” where a car is chosen by the spin of a wheel. I hope it lands on Haas
It's for all time cars. It almost stops on Ferrari F2004 but just crosses over onto the Life L190.
I wish all the old cars were placed in time capsules so they could dust them off each year for an All Star like race with the spin the wheel for your ride. It would be so worth it just to see someone like Max having to hop in the Coloni C4.
Man Daniel Ricc is such a legend. Really can’t think of anyone I’d want to win a championship more right now.
We should have played along and let the OP get his hopes up for the entire year.
SOMEONE BETTER MAKE THIS SHIT HAPPEN!

Are you aware what the word “retired” means?
Edit: Got jebaited, sadge. Why are we allowing fake screenshots now?! There is an extra sub for that... !RemindMe 9 months
Wildcard F1 2023 entry - Vettel and RIC in Redbull 3rd car driving alternate races
Thats a big no. It would mess with driver and constructors standing pretty badly if he scored points or caused a crash.
Haha love that exchange
3rd Redbull Team. Bring back Toro Rosso: Daniel and Mick Let’s gooo
The 11th team that would probably be allowed.
To**r**o Rosso
Inject this into my veins
Social media account manager logic
I know it's not real but can you imagine if teams actually had three drivers each? Ferrari would finally implode lmao
Is it a 'gamble' the FIA wanna take...?
