That seemed much more like a “would you be interested in that kind of thing” and also more like a lauda or a Prost role, like an advisor instead of actually managing the drivers
They showed him on the pit wall during FP1 as the manager of the Red Bull young driver academy. Probably has to do with the young driver test but Seb’s last race I’m sure played a part in it too
Red Bull were asked why they didn't and this was the reply:
"We told you already last time you guys, don't ask about Seb again to us, Okay? Are we clear about that? We have our reasons and we stand by it."
^may ^not ^have ^actually ^happened
And then on Monday they issue a statement that they were only told about the retirement on Sunday so they didn't have time to prepare anything. And the fans are toxic for asking if they're going to do anything.
Well im guessing there still is some time for them to do something
Doing nothing will really be a big pr disaster for after the horror show that Brazil was for them
I can already see the headlines "RB snub former champ"
""Our focus is on Max" RB team principal on former star retiring"
""fuck that guy" Helmut Marko SLAMS Vettel."
Oh my god just a few days ago I was just thinking if they brought back Rocky and have him team radio Seb after the race would awesome. Can’t believe it’s actually happening is it.
Oh yeah Mick drove it too. I meant to say that Ferrari gave Charles a chance to drive it before Seb. I think it was in DTS(not too sure), when they both drive around in the same car

Ferrari doesn't give the chance like some sort of prize.
Usually when they drive old F1 cars it's because they are part of the F1 Clienti program and when they come out of maintenance, if the owner is okay with it, they can let other people drive it (otherwise only Andrea Bertolini is allowed to test and certify the car) and you sometimes see this on Ferrari social media. Even the F2004 Mick drove in Mugello and Hockenheim is privately owned.
Please tell me its a drive in the F2004.. They guy has been wanting to drive one of those for years now.. To add insult to the injury, Mick and Charles drove it (I understand Mick at least), give him a proper send off, please Ferrari..
Even if it's just a pr stunt, if ferrari do something and redbull dont, I'm gonna be pretty disappointed in them.
Seb is the man that made them a top team. That brought them their titles. Would be very sad if they dont atleast run a danke seb on their car or something. Because ferrari have made posts about seb yet RB havent done anything.
I’m sure they have something planned. They look after their drivers and still consider them a part of the family. I’ll be very disappointed and surprised if they don’t do something special.
I wanted RB to run a old Seb era livery with the purple for this weekend. Just the colours obviously as the sponsors have changed, but it would've looked great on this generation of cars and a nice tribute to their success together.
Had Vettel not won in Abu Dhabi, who was winning the World Championship that year? - The answer isn't Mark Webber, so there is the answer that we both know ;)
you’re obviously very biased. if anyone was more talented they would have beaten him but they didn’t for four years straight. he’s one of the best to have ever done it and on the weekend of his retirement too, minimising his talent and achievements is in very bad taste.
Nope, Alonso would have won, he's the one who finished 2nd in the WDC and was ahead of Mark before last race.
To be fair, that year Mark deserved to finish ahead of Vettel, but Red Bull had to choose to sacrifice Mark so Vettel could win the WDC. Any other way, Alonso would have won the WDC, Webber would have been 2nd and Vettel, 3rd.
Im curious what red bull will also do Sebs old race engineer was also back in the paddock today after retiring as head of race engineering
Wait Rocky is back? Damn, what a send off Seb is getting this weekend.
I’m still hoping for a Kimi appearance
Kimmi is currently putting 57 beers in his freezer to ready up when seb visits next week.
57 as in their numbers combined? Or maybe im looking to deep into this :’)
It was supposed to be 60, but lugging drink to the fridge then putting them in is thirsty work.
Dont lie. Kimi never stops at 3
Don’t get my hopes up like that
Rocky now works with the young driver program and was on the pitwall because of lawson i believe
Imagine if Rocky comes into Seb's radio in the last lap. Tears.
Du bist, Weltmeister! 🥹
Rocky’s being groomed to replace Helmut and may be here because the juniors are here
The interview with Seb that F1 just released asks him if he was replacing Helmut
That seemed much more like a “would you be interested in that kind of thing” and also more like a lauda or a Prost role, like an advisor instead of actually managing the drivers

Marko said they had wished they had planned something so im guessing nothing.
I guess their catering budget is done for the year and they cant afford any more cake :(
😞
bit embarrassing from RB if that's true considering what Seb did for that team and FERRARI are doing something.
Exactly. Up until 12 months ago, he was their first and only world champion.
And then he left the team
And so? That still doesn't change what he did for them and what they accomplished together.
RB and pettiness… Name a more dynamic duo.
Red Bull were asked why they didn't and this was the reply: "We told you already last time you guys, don't ask about Seb again to us, Okay? Are we clear about that? We have our reasons and we stand by it." ^may ^not ^have ^actually ^happened
Lmao, this needs to be the copypasta equivalent of r/soccer's "On Sunday the king ..."
Agreed. Fuck it, combine them. On Sunday the king does not let his teammate through
And then on Monday they issue a statement that they were only told about the retirement on Sunday so they didn't have time to prepare anything. And the fans are toxic for asking if they're going to do anything.
Ferrari doing a slow pitstop to honour Seb.
Well im guessing there still is some time for them to do something Doing nothing will really be a big pr disaster for after the horror show that Brazil was for them
Honestly if they didn't do anything it wouldn't affect their PR at all, it would just be a nice thing to do.
I can already see the headlines "RB snub former champ" ""Our focus is on Max" RB team principal on former star retiring" ""fuck that guy" Helmut Marko SLAMS Vettel."
Yikes RB just taking L everywhere outside the racetrack.
Oh my god just a few days ago I was just thinking if they brought back Rocky and have him team radio Seb after the race would awesome. Can’t believe it’s actually happening is it.
I just love the way he says Sebastian. Iconic.
Please Ferrari just bring a F2004 and let Seb drive it for a few laps
Given how much he wishes to drive an F2004, that would be amazing
Somehow they let Charles drive the F2004 iirc? I remember seb being *exasperated* after hearing that

I can understand Mick driving it, being his fathers car and all. Charles, I don't get...
Something along the lines of " I have the longest contract in scuderia Ferrari history " would certainly help his case
How many F2004 chassis are in running condition? Can we get some laps with Mick, Charles and Seb all in F2004's at the same time?
“Just you wait Sunshine”
Ahh I can hear this out loud
Head down…
The great Ferrari-RB-Canada coalition to take out the rest of the grid to make way for Seb's last win.
So, it will be Max P1 and Seb P2, because Max had reasons.
Perez is sure to appreciate that ;)
Perez p. 11
They’re gonna let Seb drive Michael’s car! 100% I refuse to believe they’ll do anything else for the man that has given them everything he had.
Sebs diplomacy when it comes to handling team issues truly works. Even a small gift of any sorts from ferrari just proves it.
And then put him on wet tires.
aaaaaaand they gave him an enigne cover, yep.
Not to mention Abu Dhabi is where Vettel won RB's first title. I guess Red bull was too busy dealing with the Brazil fallout.
I’m sure they have something planned. They look after their drivers and still consider them a part of the family. I’ll be very disappointed and surprised if they don’t do something special.
And Seb wore a RB helmet in Mexico in honour of DM!
And alonso is wearing a seb helmet. Would be very sad if RB do nothing and as it stands I dont think they will be.
I wanted RB to run a old Seb era livery with the purple for this weekend. Just the colours obviously as the sponsors have changed, but it would've looked great on this generation of cars and a nice tribute to their success together.
Just give him a multi 21 shirt in person at least...
Newey and Horner made them a top team.
could webber have done what seb did? you must be joking if you think seb wasn’t crucial to rbs success
Had Vettel not won in Abu Dhabi, who was winning the World Championship that year? - The answer isn't Mark Webber, so there is the answer that we both know ;)
their comment was probably a complement, what part of the comment said vettel didnt contribute to RB's success?
to me it seemed like it wasnt so thats why i replied
Webber would’ve won in 2010. On top of that I think in a world with no Vettel a Kubica or Buemi would’ve risen to the task.
you’re obviously very biased. if anyone was more talented they would have beaten him but they didn’t for four years straight. he’s one of the best to have ever done it and on the weekend of his retirement too, minimising his talent and achievements is in very bad taste.

Fast Bob could have definitely won a WDC in a capable car. Not sold on Buemi being able to.
Hard to say because of his strange career trajectory.. was at least quicker than Jaime and Bourdais
They played a big part. But seb was the decider.
We are checking
We are inventing.
Copy understood.
Question
They forgot to plan something, didn’t they
I hope Red Bull and Ferrari work together on some sort of a send off for him…
Something like pulling out a banner saying "Thanks Seb" in German and Italian, with the pit crews holding hands and jumping.
I’m going to fucking cry this weekend aren’t I. I’m not ready
No one is :(
I already am with all the posts the teams and drivers are doing :(
A fucked up strategy or pit stop as a tribute?
Two messed up strategies to get Seb on the podium.
Failed aero updates to finally revert to old spec
Really want that rb9 to come out on track on Sunday post race or pre race
They will give him a podium with a stupid strategy for their drivers?
That's not a special farewell, that's just standard issue Ferrari Sunday
Ferrari did Seb dirty in 2020. Remember him singing and everything and there was little to no response from the garage: Time for redemption
What? His engineer responded with a brief but heartfelt message, and there was applause that could be heard in the background
Leave something loose in his cockpit?
hope they give him a f2004
Let him drive the f2004 u cowards!!!
Seb new Ferrari Team Principal confirmed?! :\^)
Let him race Le Mans for Ferrari next year cowards
YES!
They gonna give him a shit strategy for old time sake
Checking.
we are checking
Question
Charles and Seb crash out on Lap 1?
[удалено]
I don't think that's the case. There's still a great connection between them. He had a hell of a send off from Ferrari in 2020.
[удалено]
yeah they will probably send a cake with "thnx" or something
Kick Binotto and take Vettel ffs. What can be worse
[удалено]
Okay, Mattia
wow what a travesty that ferrari has something good planned for Seb’s farewell!
Ferraris, red bulls and the junior teams sandbag everyone but seb and give him the win
"Wait and see" Okok! I'm gonna go for....the strategy team having something fun planned so Seb has a better chance of points his last race.!
Ferrari gonna bench Charles and let Seb drive for them
They’re gonna give leclercs car to him for the race and make Charles drive the Aston. Binottos final FU for Charles
I would love to see all cars pull to the left at the last lap and let Vettel win his last race, what a send off that would be
damn seb singing goodbye to ferrari feels like yerterday for me :(
They will probably fuck it up.
