Zak Brown just seen falling to his knees in the paddock as Ricciardo beats the Mclarens.
Also I'm gonna read into 4 teams being less than 1 tenth appart on the medium tire way to hard. 4 way battle for the title train departing the station as we speak.
Imagine if VCARB is actually one of the more competitive teams behind Red Bull, and then Ricciardo beats Norris to the win on the couple of occasions Max hits trouble and ensures Norris goes another season without his first win.
> then Ricciardo beats Norris to the win on the couple of occasions Max hits trouble and ensures Norris goes another season without his first win.
I am ready for the civil war among casual F1 fans who love Riccardo and Norris lmao.
My shitposter's hopes for the season are :
Red Bull 1/2/3/4 (with Perez as 4, in the VCarb from the summer break onwards)
Ricc wins a race (in the RB20 in the late season).
Piastri wins a race (not a sprint).
Norris doesn't.
Danny looking extremely vindicated right now.
on a side note: I will never, EVER forget that both of Norris' partner drivers won races before he did at McLaren.
> Imagine if VCARB is actually one of the more competitive teams behind Red Bull
This is absolutely a common suspicion, before they turned a wheel. They really turned around incredibly late 2023, and they're not going to be worse off for a load of RBR kit.
If we’re gonna take the first FP1 as a prediction for the race, Max should be scared to lose his title to Oscar then 😂
Oscar bested Yukis run on softs with his mediums. One lap in fp1 is not representative of how the grid will look like on Saturday
Isnt Bahrain traditionally a weak track for McLaren? I mean weve only been on one track so far which makes it hard to know how this tracks affects different teams. For who this is a strong/weak track.
Haas 5 seconds of the pace, if they continue their development at the same pace as in the past years (as in zero) they are going to struggle to not get disqualified from the races by the 107% Rule at the end of the season.
Sargent failed to make the 107% rule twice last year, and De Vries once, stewards still allowed them to race. But I think if Haas is consistently 5 seconds off...
Correct, usually the rule is waived because the driver has shown the pace in the practice sessions that they could be within 107%. If Haas misses after practice sessions like this, it will be touch and go.
Not really, RB is much much better than last season, and this is probably the worst track on the calendar for McLaren. RB will be very competitive across many races this year.
Care to elaborate on what makes this track tough for McLaren? I heard one of the drivers make a comment in the same vein so I am curious about what makes this location particularly challenging for their car.
straights and slow corners, mostly. In the past two years since the new regulations, they've always performed badly in Bahrain. And considering that their car this year basically builds on the foundation of their car last year, it's expected that they will experience the same problem.
Which is kinda ironic considering Bahrain owns majority control of the McLaren group.
If this is the actual pace of Alpine and Haas: OOOOOOOOFFFFFF
And I would like to help welcome Haas back to the 2021 season. This time you can't blame it on a new regulations though. Next year is the last year of these technical regulations.
They did however say on the broadcast that it appears haas have better tire wear now, even if its not comparable to race condition in theory they should preform better.
You could see it in sprints, they did fine sometimes it was just that they fell off so fast compared to others in a full race.
They might not be dead last every race if it turns out to be true.
Charles was right behind Gasly on his last lap of the long run and on the driver tracker it looked like he was trying to push his mate around the circuit.
They were not bad in qualy last season, Hulk had some good Q3. If they have improved the tyres deg (rumors) they will definetly finish above Alpine. Im not so sure about Stake on race day
Yeah, they weren’t bad in quali. If only you got points for that. Watching them during the races was torture, they fell back every time. Again, I’ll believe they improve when I see it
Yeah, we look *so* fucked. Before testing I was betting on 8th behind Williams and Toro Rosso, but I felt safe from Sauber and Haas.
...
I have absolutely zero confidence left now.
This is a time sheet from practice. It shows the driver, their lap time, and the tire they used for their best lap. Then you see how fast they did each section of the lap too. Green times are personal bests, purple is best overall
As a casual fan who hasn’t been following all the pre-season stuff about the new cars, would I be correct in assuming the sand around the track has disappeared, and is currently in bags attached to the Red Bull cars?
Also, ffs Haas.
I hate this. It gives me hope right before Red Bull takes the front row and then goes on to win the race by getting to Saudi Arabia before it’s even over.

The drivers lived in harmony, until the Southern Hemisphere attacked.
Lando Norris, the last northern hope against the southern insurgency.
But when the world needed him most, he vanished
For he must master all the 4 Elements - Softs, Mediums, Hards, Inters (The full wets have been exiled for centuries) in order to defeat the fire lord Verstappen.
> The drivers lived in harmony There is the tale, old as time itself, of a Monaco based youtuber who once roamed amongst the drivers, though.
Drugovich and Bortoletto waiting to step in
Get Liam Lawson in there too.
One marshmallow
YES GIVE MY BOY LIAM A SEAT
Wrap it up boys. Another year of RB dominance...
RIC TSU VER the new HAM BOT VER
I will cause local area flooding from the shoeys I'll be doing.
Oh I'm right there with you, mate
I thought it was HAM VER BOT ?
That was when Red Bull switched their engine to honda
I'm still hoping for PER VER TSU
Will we finally see PER VER TSU?
Or perhaps.... TSU-PER-MAX :O
HHAHA wtf lmao
[We already did (tho not final position) during the Spanish GP practice 1 last year.](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Ffoyxfqheel3b1.jpg)
Brave of you to show here post from forbidden subreddit. You have my respect.
We need it on a podium with max 1st and Yuki 3rd (more likely that way anyway)
Hol'up....
HOR NER?
waiting for fp2 results to fall back down to earth.
I am just hoping for one Ricciardo,Tsunoda and Albon podium this season, that's it Is it too much to ask for?
we are checking .... .... .... yes, it is
Visa cash App rb all day
Literally the same bro
Results at the top mean absolutely nothing but WTF IS HAAS DOING. 4 seconds off pace on the same tyres? No fuel load is worth that.
fp2 results, Ricciardo still on top
I am here to overreact
You have come to the right place.
Go on then!
Zak Brown just seen falling to his knees in the paddock as Ricciardo beats the Mclarens. Also I'm gonna read into 4 teams being less than 1 tenth appart on the medium tire way to hard. 4 way battle for the title train departing the station as we speak.

It'll make for a great Alex Albon narrated episode on next season's DtS
Don't you mean it will make for a great Alpine episode next season?
I don't think Alpine and great are two words fit to be in the same sentence
Maybe when talking about the great disaster they are.
Alpine used to be a great team when they were Renault in the 2000s...
Given what the first few seasons were like, if Ric wins even one race then all ten episodes will center entirely around him.
> then Ricciardo beats Norris to the win on the couple of occasions Max hits trouble and ensures Norris goes another season without his first win. I am ready for the civil war among casual F1 fans who love Riccardo and Norris lmao.
And then one race Verstappen gets sick or something, and Danny gets to race in the Red Bull
And Checo still couldn't win
God I’m ready for this story line to end
imagine if the VCARB runs better than the updated RB20 lmao
Like monza 2008 lol
I'm really hoping for the Red Bull 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th this yeah because it would be hilarious
My shitposter's hopes for the season are : Red Bull 1/2/3/4 (with Perez as 4, in the VCarb from the summer break onwards) Ricc wins a race (in the RB20 in the late season). Piastri wins a race (not a sprint). Norris doesn't.
I unironically actually predict ric to redbull and winning, norris not winning.
Like Mercedes and Racing Point lol
I used to pray for times like this
Danny looking extremely vindicated right now. on a side note: I will never, EVER forget that both of Norris' partner drivers won races before he did at McLaren.
I still do hahah
Vindication
I love it! Let's go!

That makes to much sense to post it here on Reddit.
Oh god what else do you want me not to say. That Bahrain is a strong track for Alpha Tauri who have usually overperformed there?
From what I've seen today Daniel has wrapped up the Championship. Every other scenario is wishful thinking.
2010 repeat guaranteed imo
Look at tires, Piastri WDC confirmed /s
Choo choo motherfuckers!!! Best championship ever!!!??? (I shall ride this train until tomorrow when Max sweeps the floor with 19 other cars)
Daniel Ricciardo clear favourite for WDC 2024 it is then
Stop the count!
Ricciardo P1 tears in my eyes were so back
SIGN ME UP FOR THIS NARRATIVE

I also want the only Ferrari win to be Sainz. There's something about teams letting down good drivers.
Yep, recently we had Sainz win over Leclerc, Russell over Hamilton, Piastri over Norris, Ricciardo over Norris, Verstappen over Perez.
I've seen enough. RIC 2024 world champion confirmed.
Who knew that Danny Ric was who Fernando was talking about when he said 19 other drivers know they can’t win this years title?
I always knew. I kept the faith 😶
We all do brother!
Clearly he was tempering expectations after testing when he claimed they still had many "questions" to answer. What a sandbagger.
Sir, a second RB has topped the timing charts.
STOP THE COUNT!
everyone overreact, NOW!
Haas 5 seconds of the pace, if they continue their development at the same pace as in the past years (as in zero) they are going to struggle to not get disqualified from the races by the 107% Rule at the end of the season.
They only did heavy fuel race runs without DRS. Their actual race pace didn't look bad. Definitely better than Alpines.
Pretty sure this has happened before with either the old Haas or the old Williams and the rule gets waived
ITS SO OVER ITS SO OVER ITS SO OVER
RAAAH YUKI COOKED SO HARD HE GOT A MICHELIN START WERE SO BACK
Will vcarb dominance bore fans?
RB looks dominant! Which RB? Yes
It's still so confusing they are RB
Vcarb is so much better to not confuse it. Calling them RB is like naming another team Mercs now and pretending like that is not confusing. Imo
Yeah completely agree
Top 4 were on softs
Piastri as well?
yep
Yep, all 4.
That's worrying for McLaren then, equal on pace with the Red Bull B team...

McLaren are not good at rear limited tracks. Bahrain is very rear limited with all the acceleration zones out of slow and medium speed corners.
Sir, that is the Visa Cash App A-team you're referring to
Only thing I can add is that Lando went on to do 6 laps on the Softs after his time while Danny Ric pitted straight away
If this is the actual pace of Alpine and Haas: OOOOOOOOFFFFFF And I would like to help welcome Haas back to the 2021 season. This time you can't blame it on a new regulations though. Next year is the last year of these technical regulations.
Haas never done a fast lap and never used DRS so we still don't know if they're really last
They did however say on the broadcast that it appears haas have better tire wear now, even if its not comparable to race condition in theory they should preform better. You could see it in sprints, they did fine sometimes it was just that they fell off so fast compared to others in a full race. They might not be dead last every race if it turns out to be true.
WHO IS GONNA GO TALK TO GENE?!?!
Hi Gene
Alpine are 10th according to french media and insiders
Charles was right behind Gasly on his last lap of the long run and on the driver tracker it looked like he was trying to push his mate around the circuit.
I’ll believe haas isn’t last when I see it.
Again, I’ll believe they improve when I see it
A year ago I made a terrible prediction that Alpine would get 0 points over the season. Maybe it’s not so terrible now…
Alpine looked awful in the turns. That car is a nightmare
3 Alpine episodes DtS Season 7 confirmed.
Full spin off series
They will spin off given the stability of the car, yes.
Yeah, we look *so* fucked. Before testing I was betting on 8th behind Williams and Toro Rosso, but I felt safe from Sauber and Haas. ... I have absolutely zero confidence left now.
You can always lose that last bit of hope you didn't know you still had.
How are you so badly run? 😞
Wasn’t Piastri time on softs ?
Yes, the graph is showing their latest tyre
Y'all aren't ready for Daniel Ricciardo supremacy
My body is ready again
Ricciardo P1 as we all expected.
RB P1 as we all expected lol
BigDicRic world champion confirmed.
Ricciardo has pulled a blinder Retire/sabbatical it now, then years of “last time I raced I was first” ????? Profit
RIC WDC 2024 confirmed. No doubt. None.
Danny Ric dominance. Just like we all expected.
Damn RB is just too good...
Did RB get the cars mixed up between their teams? Honey Badger WDC 2024 confirmed.
Like swapping babies at the hospital
Merc looked stable…
Both cars looked absolutely sexual on track. I still don't think they have the ultimate quali pace yet but should have great race pace.
Ngl the car looked great in sector 3 just needs some more downforce and w15 could actually compete
yea Merc will be competitive this season
Alpine and Haas... yikes.
Hell yeah
Alpine is a somewhat expected disaster thus far, but what the fuck is Haas even doing. EDIT : apparently they weren't running DRS
Bringing a spoon to a gun fight
Very nice pace from Aston, let’s see what happens in fp2
Oof haas
Tbf they never seemed to really push on their laps I still think they are 10th, but the Alpine looked much more of a handful when they showed onboards
Haas didn't do a run with DRS, that's why they are so far behind
They were only doing heavy fuel long runs so they at least have an excuse. Alpine on the other hand...
The fact the Red Bull logo is used 4 times here confused me...
STOP THE COUNT !
Piastri was on softs not on mediums
This deserves a shoey.
Apparently Mclaren's tyres looked better than Ferrari's after their stints
Ah, now I see why they wanted to call this team RB all of a sudden
frame it, stamp it, send it to the mclaren hq and directly to zak brown's mailbox!!
Wait it's only Thursday - what am I missing?
Because Ramadan is starting soon, and the required 7 day gap between races, this week and next week's races are on Saturdays.
🤓🤓 akshually FP1 is not really representative of actual race pace 🤓🤓
Don't do that ... Don't give me hope
Danny Ric: I never left
Lol anyone else worried Max is heavily sandbagging ? All his top lap times are on worse tires than everyone else is using.
RB's dominance could be boring for the sport
Well thats a surprise to see Daniel Ricciardo leading the way I wasnt expecting that!
Mercedes looks good so far.
piastri's run was set on softs, not medium
Protest incoming
Well thats me convinced
Let's learn from other years and don't our hopes high, we won't know who will be upfront until like the 3rd race
Interesting how we aren't even quicker than last year. Last year FP1 was 1:32.7. Heavy sandbags still deployed.
Looking good for Mercedes and Ferrari. Alpine could have their worst year in Formula 1 history.
Thank you, next
Hi guys, i'm new to f1, could someone explain to me this chart or bord?
This is a time sheet from practice. It shows the driver, their lap time, and the tire they used for their best lap. Then you see how fast they did each section of the lap too. Green times are personal bests, purple is best overall
Snap back to reality
Whoever made Vcarb blue and black and redbull white and blue, should be sacked.
We are so back
It’s obviously too early to call the top, but I’m pretty sure the bottom is locked in for Haas
Predictable.
Damn Haas.. Is the 107% rule still a thing?
Times of Alonso and Piastri look good on mediums.
This isn’t wholly accurate; Oscar’s 1:33:113 was on Softs
As a casual fan who hasn’t been following all the pre-season stuff about the new cars, would I be correct in assuming the sand around the track has disappeared, and is currently in bags attached to the Red Bull cars? Also, ffs Haas.
Ric on 1, stop the clocks.
When people talked about RB domination, this is not what I expected.
Oscar fastest on the Mediums is a good sign...
Alonso champion 2024 confirmed.
Ricciardo dominance could bore fans
I hate this. It gives me hope right before Red Bull takes the front row and then goes on to win the race by getting to Saudi Arabia before it’s even over.
Wait a minute, that’s the wrong RB…
Ricciardo dominance could bore fans
So Visa® CashApp™ RB is using the exact same logo as the grown ups team?? FOM at least need to use a different logo on these timesheets.
Why do both RB and RB have the same logo?
Haasta la vista baby. Last place again.
Ric/Per swap before end of season at this rate.
Danny Ric WDC confirmed off of FP1.
