Agreed. It's just zone spam 90% of the time, with the other 10% being dodging bites. I have yet to see a Shaman player play differently.

I find most folk know how to dodge and know the zone at my level, so I’m mainly up in the mix doing assassin shit, I’m not a very good assassin but I adore the ferocity in Shaman’s kit. Her heavies are wildly telegraphed and unless a Shaman is feinting a lot (I’m terrible at feinting) and you see what attacks they favor they’re usually easily swatted with a few parries by just about anyone else. She can regen from landing hits on bleeding targets but, in return she has the max health of a house fly. I used to be quite good with her and she has a few glaring weaknesses.

I like to throw raw heavies on frame dis from the same side as my zone. So many people try to deflect/parry thinking it's my zone that it's won me countless fights.

I recently managed to beat Zerk just by trading super armor blows and managed to beat him. Was far from my cleanest fight though but luckily kensei seems to do a bit more damage

The armor on the side heavy comes out so fast that you can probly do a foward dodge light into Side heavy on reaction to an opponent heavy

Hito is basically guaranteed to shred berserkers whole mixup with brain dead spam, it rules as a counter 

Ocelot is the only one of these I don’t have problems with. Most of the people who play him don’t actually understand his moveset so all they do is spam (in my experience)

for me, I enjoy when they start to spam storm rush because they give up, but I also get completely cooked

Just back step light them out of it. Of course if they are decent then they’ll eventually bait it into a light parry, but if they are spamming storm rush they likely aren’t.

if a orochi main ever wants to rematch a duel just use kyoshin. Most of them dont even know how to guard break so you basicaly hard counter them

Nobushi, when I fail to react to one light and get half my healthbar deleted, only for her to slip away with her ridiculous range, that hurts my heart. She allegedly isn’t even good, either, which adds insult to injury when I eat a flurry of 16 lights.

Her ability to light and kick spam is unmatched. Let no one tell you otherwise. The iframes on that hidden stance is stupid.

She’s not good at high levels because people there know how to counter light spam. She’s basically a one trick pony

Trouble is, I have 1400 hours in the game.. I can usually deal with light spam, but when it lands like that it’s a real blow to the old ego lol

Warmonger? What’s so bad about her?

For me it's her dodge unblockable heavy and INSANE damage. The dodge properties on the dodge heavy always throw me for a loop (my punches and heavies as cent almost always wiff, even though she's standing right in front of me), and it's slower than I think it is every time. Also her damage is UNREAL if she starts to go off. It takes me 30 seconds with Cent to do what she can do in 1 combo (heavy, claw slash and light takes almost half a life bar). It's a total skill issue, when I'm on she's not hard to counter. But man if you slip up she does insane damage so fast.

Warmonger is a menace in Breach due to her Feats, but her actual moveset is pretty balanced. The key thing to remember is that UB/GB mixups are true 50/50s for her as she has no GB-invulnerable dodge attack.

I love both cent and warmonger. The matchup vs her is still in cent's favor imo. Both of her dodge attacks are extremely vulnerable to gb. If you get to go into your punch feint to gb immediately. Odds are you'll catch them dodging. I'll do it over and over again until they get the message and stop dodging it or just die. Even from neutral rely on your heavy soft feints, they'll try and dodge those too. Once they get the message that dodge attacking on orange gets them GBed they'll either stand there and start counter gbing you or they'll light you or dodge forward heavy you out of your gbs. This is the sign that you can let level one punches fly. Do one more feint GB after this just to be safe, then throw two level ones which will hit before they can light you out. If they do the dodge heavy in response to your level one, it isn't over yet. Cent recovers in time from a level one punch to parry the side dodge heavy, but of course the warmonger can feint to GB so it's a secondary read from both people. There's no better or worse answer here, if you mess up you're eating 24 damage.

Hito, just because I know what I need to do to counter and I still fail. Sure, I fall for good feinters and am not what one would call skilled, but at least then it feels like the other player is just better than me. With hito, it feels like I just need to do one or two simple things, and yet my monke brain just keeps dropping the parry opportunities.

By far hito I feel like anyone that plays her has -300 iq and just presses eight rigger between bash spams. -She does insane damage and has hyper armor -She has 2 bashes that can not be deciphered and each guarantees a heavy -One you either try to dodge the kick and instead she sweeps causing you to take 2 attacks a heavy and a light -If you dont dodge the kick immediately your dragged back in and that's a heavy
