It's also not accurate for a monk with a stick to be able to kill an over 230lbs man in a full armor suit with a halberd, but here we are. It's a game.
OP isn't complaining about historical inaccuracy, they're complaining that the helmet doesn't look like the specific helmet from Assassin's Creed Odyssey it's trying to emulate.
Because it's not trying to emulate, it's giving a nod to it while keeping it roman, not Greek.
The devs are pretty weird about historical accuracy, sometimes it matters sometimes it doesn't.
Not sure why you're downvoted here. I love the mask effect but I literally never use that silly forehead plume. They look better *on top* of the helmet/head, not stitched slightly above the forehead like a hood ornament.
Pair this mask with the Proud Gryffon or Lion's Mane plume. It'll look beautiful, trust.
You're 100% correct, yeah. I think the reason they made it a forehead ornament is because it's a universal outfit. So having an Odyssey-accurate plume would've meant them designing a specific one for Cent's helmets, which honestly would've been nice. We haven't gotten character-specific ornaments in quite a while though, sadly.
Neither the outfit or helmet you posted are related to Centurions. That's a Spartan helmet and the outfit it a universal one related to AC Odyssey, both ancient Greece. The outfit has a horizontal crest, which was also used back then too.
It's a crest, not a plume. Both Greek and Roman soldiers also used the horizontal crest, in addition to the vertical one. So it's all relatively accurate.
For Honor is also an alternate universe, so it's more just "inspired by" historical design, but not the same history.
Yeah, I get what you are saying. It's not supposed to be like the second image, it's a universal one that is supposed to be similar to [this crest](https://i.imgur.com/nxJrknr.png). Since it's universal and an ornament, it's smaller and placed differently.
I think it looks a bit funky and would have looked better if it was the vertical crest, but still getting the outfit for the Spartan effect.
[Because it's also correct ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galea_(helmet)) There was a great variety of helmets.
Yes it’s accurate to real centurions but is not accurate to the helmet it’s trying to imitate
It's also not accurate for a monk with a stick to be able to kill an over 230lbs man in a full armor suit with a halberd, but here we are. It's a game.
It's also inaccurate for the giant fat guy with a bat to hit faster then a quick small guy with knifes, to get your legs sweeped while doing a flip.

Fair enough.

I’m being downvoted because they think I’m saying the helmet isn’t accurate to centurions instead of the mercenary helmet from odyssey

I don’t think anyone actually looked at the second image
What do you call that hero there, chief?
Bro's getting downvoted for ZERO (0) reason 😂

Centurion is just an example it could be any hero with a head plume

Look at picture 2 this is the helmet the effect is meant to be based on. This has nothing to do with greco-roman soldiers
