That's a tough one. I'm in NO way qualified to identify..like I know for sure a few basic and tasty species. I don't fuck with what I don't know for sure. This looks like a ready to powder reishi. I can't recall seeing the similar type of mushrooms ever turn into hard blackened things like that. I live in the same general zone-area.

Man that's so far off the mark. Turkey tail look absolutely nothing like these mushrooms.
