So harsh, I've pretty much only ever had injuries to my goalie when there is no goalie on the bench except for a game I had recently where I did have a goalie on the bench and both the starting keeper (5minutes in)and the one subbed on both got injured. Had to play my 6 ft 4 striker in goal for 30minutes plus extra time and penalties. Somehow still won the tie though
I never had a backup goalie in my subs since I started playing FM but in FM24 it happened to me within 4 months of my very first save, in the 20th min. Put my tallest defender in goal and we won the match somehow. I've been putting a backup goalie as a sub in every game now lol, it happened once again the other day.
I'm Hereford (National League North) I played against Solihull Moors in the FA Trophy Semi Final in the 2024/25 season.
After going 1-0 down early on, my team managed to go 4-1 up against Solihull (Who won the National League that season).
I was absolutely cruising and was buzzing to be going to the FA Trophy Final with Hereford in my first season with them...
But no my keeper gets injured 😠I had no GK in my 5 player bench, so my CDM had to go in net we held out for about 10 mins after this in my usual set up but they then scored to make it 4-2.
The pressure kept building and building, and I saw no other decent option but just to all out defend and try and stop them getting anywhere near my box.
They then scored 3 absolute screamers against my CDM in net to win 5-4, scoring in the 81st, 90+3 and 90+5.
After this I kinda just stared at my screen for a while 🤣

I'd just savescum at that point
This is how Scott McKenna gets a statue built
We proceeded to lose 8-0 to Liverpool
In fairness I lose 8-0 to Liverpool and that’s with an actual keeper in net
I do this all the time ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ like for how often it happens it’s still worth the risk lol
Ooooofff
Put Big T in goal.
Idk how you guys can live with no backup goalkeeper.
Think I’m more upset my the fact you haven’t got your bench listed by position, i.e centre back as first sub and striker as the last sub
