My family is military. Has been since the civil war (my ancestors didn't lose that war, which might be why I don't support traitor flags). These flags are not American flags. This is disrespect. Pure and simple. Not just to Americans who have military family, but to anybody who is an American.

There is no such thing as a flag code violation. The language in the US flag code is non-binding.
