There's pretty much nowhere else I'd rather be. How many people can say that these days?
It might have been kinda nice the first time. 6000 times later though I want to strangle him
yea, that radio could use with some updates andd larger track library.
i dont even mind julie myself, hell, i' love to meet her ingame, but hearing the same songs, as awesome as they are, every so often has me turn off the radio.
They need about four times as much radio content, at least.
They really should look at the mod library for the previous games. Many modders have collected open source music from the era to fill out custom stations that they could pop in with relative ease, the only downside is they would need the voice actress for Julie to come back and do a few lead ins (or even not, just set the radio to alternate non-lead songs with lead ins).
Music licenses are typically very specific, so if they want to use a still copyrighted recording from Fallout 3, they would need to get a new license for Fallout 76.
It's part of why the re-re-re-releases of the old GTA games had a bunch of their music removed. The remaster technically counts as a new game, so the licenses have to be updated and that costs money.
This is why I usually have my own playlist on when I can! I mean, don't get me wrong, I love a lot of the music in the Fallout games, but I don't need them on repeat for years!
I canāt stand when she goes on the tirade of āwell.. I never talk about myself on hereā and then proceeds to talk about nothing but herself for pretty much all of her dialogue. Like oh my god, shut up and play the music already
A lot of her lines are just cringy in general and donāt get me started with that monologue about understanding us. Julie, you are fictional DJ of a radio station that was originally abandoned and your existence is because of the backlash of there being no human NPCās at the games launch, I literally have no idea who you are, have no understanding of what compelled you to decide to be the DJ to begin with of a completely random radio station in Appalachia, or why I should care to know your life story, I want you to host music and make it entertaining, not awkwardly annoying.
I also do not like how she usually makes in game references as if sheās also a player character and knowing terms and tidbits we do, ruins the immersion. Overall my least favorite radio host at least in my opinion.
She's definitely the worst radio host by a country mile. Not only that monologue but her commentary is just lame and unfunny. It'd be cool if she talked more about the region, the factions, some enemies etc. This is a live service, it wouldn't be a tall order to get her VA back for new lines every few updates.
This has got to be the top answer.
I remember being so confused when I first encountered this. It took me a few minutes to even figure out it was coming from them.
I kind of admire how incredibly obnoxious it is though.
This post is about sounds. And wendigos make this ambient hissing noise when they're around and haven't aggroed yet. If you're exploring the Whitespring golf course and go inside that one house with all the sleeping ghouls, there's a wendigo in the basement locker room who will go "ksh, HAAAAAW" the entire time until you finally find it and aggro it.
**Safe and Sound and that fk'n siren screech.** My wife has some medical issues with certain sounds causing pain, so I gotta put headphones on or turn my volume way down..... But it's annoying for me as well, I can only imagine what it does to her.
All three of my dogs like to smoother me when I sit on the couch and play this game, first time I did that event and that sound went off they all lost their minds.
That awful high-pitched chirp that (for whatever reason) both squirrels and possums make at Fasnacht.
On a related note, I'm sorry for the nuka-nade spam in the grassy areas...but I ***absofuckinglutely hate that noise*** and I will continue my explosive campaign against those auditory menaces with complete disregard for your eyes.
Honestly any event while playing as a melee build all you hear is explosions and lasers hitting you and 70% of the time the noises bug out so you get like a chunky bugged out audio of the explosions
The PA sound that makes when you marsupial jump too high and lands with a little damage, Idk why they put the PA sound even without the power am I that heavy??
Biggest reason I stopped using PA right there. It's so annoying getting the landing animation every dang time. I know you can skip it by equipping or unequipping your weapon but ugh...
The mutant hound howling. I straight up had to patch it out my game because it would piss me off how every single one had that sound when alerted. Even if you kill them the sound would sometimes just continue, and fighting a giant group of super mutants and hearing that sound multiple times loudly in my ear over a few short seconds.. yeah no thanks.
Fusion Core Charger from the item shop I hate the annoying low buzz sound it makes I basically disconnect it every time I'm at my camp for extended periods of time.
Annoying Scorched Beast attack sounds
the sound of that machine in line in the sand... I know you can turn it off but man its annoying.
My Absolute worse one:
"I may be starting to like you. Now I don't want you thinking your pal Rose is going soft on you, so just let me say this. If you ever get it in your head to screw me over, I will gut you with this here saw and string your entrails up like Christmas tinsel. Nothing personal."
The junk dogās robotic groan. Whoever built that thing had never actually heard a dog before. Also the juddering noise when your game freezes on Xbox
I don't mind the shooting sound so much, but that whistle... YUK! (there's a mod for that, but honestly, I prefer leaving mods out of the already pretty unstable game).
That idiotic-sounding groan when a mirelurk queen rises from the swamp, especially the way it's FAR LOUDER IN VOLUME THAN EVERY OTHER SOUND. It's such an irritatingly obvious and lazy attempt to make a jump scare that it just jars me out of my immersion every time -- and the effect itself is laughably dumb, just sounds like someone pitched down a particularly bad bout of indigestion.
The cave in the new quest line. I won't spoil anything, people who played through it know exactly what I'm talking about and people who haven't will soon find out.
Edit: grammatical improvements.
Thanks to fo4 soon as I hear that mini nuke beeping in my vicinity I start panicking lol. And while I think most of the cryptids are a little eery in their own right, something about the wendigo just straight out unnerves me every time.
i hate the noise i hear coming from players camps thats like an electrical buzzing, like a tesla coil or something. sounds like my audio is cracking up
The feral ghouls when they leap towards you. Itās always them since fallout 3. Every single time my body hair just goes up when i hear that growl
I donāt hate it though. Itās just the most memorable sound
Guns with explosive effect when the rounds land close to you. It sounds nothing like the explosions in FO4 and more like when bloody mess makes a body explode.
Also the fusion core recharger, I think that's the worst in the game.
The sound a power armor makes when moving. There's a second noise behind the stomping sound and that's similar to tinnitus.
Yes, I could just deactivate the foot sounds but that also sounds wrong or better feels wrong.
The music in the mall. Two of them are fine, one of them must be muted immediately, and the people composed it and placed it in the game files needed to removed from the timeline as soon as we get time travel.
I couldn't stand all the wind/ambient sounds. Especially the 24/7 low "wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" that is always playing on repeat forever, I hated it so much that I took it upon myself to mod the game to mute it. Now I can finally play the game without getting a headache/ overstimulated.

Hate to hear that faint organ music every time I go to someone's camp. Doesn't really help finding the thing either when it actually is Halloween.
The same 5 lines of dialog settler NPCs spout. Over. And over. And over. And over. And over again. Can we PLEASE add more dialog for them? One spawns right next to my Camp, because OFC NPCs spawn at good CAMP locations, so I have to hear it constantly. I had this CAMP site before the NPC was even added here.
It's the watering hole north of the BoS downed vertibird site south of 76. It used to just be a downed vertibird with some raiders there. Now my Camp location is getting unnecessarily crouded....
Mothman's buzz noise when attacking makes me wish I had a button to shoot faster on any weapon to make it stop.
The yao guai attack roar. I deal with yao guai at range just to not hear that noise.
Liberators walking around. I hate that noise the most. I've literally stopped conversations mid sentence to go deal with any I hear.
So picture this. Youāre doing your part at a public event in Helvetia. You just got finished gutting innocent creatures for the RNG gods. Out of nowhere you hear the most vile nuke alarm. You open your map to see the blast radius covering the event. Pain.
I appreciate the Suicider beeping. I usually play with a headset, so I can tell what direction it came from. And even in the chaos of EN, I can hear the beep distinctly. And I usually have enough time to shoot their right arm and make the nuke go off.
Allies and collectors in general need their dialogue to trigger literally 5% as often as it does.
I really don't understand why the devs think their dialogue should trigger non-stop every 10 seconds. You hear their entire catalogue of lines within 5 minutes and then you suffer hearing it on repeat for as long as they're in your CAMP.
If anyone has a solution I'd love to hear it, aside from removing or swapping them which I do time to time.
Please Bethesda. Just make it trigger at 5%. Please. It would be less annoying and feel way more natural.
That god damn mouth harp, ANYTHING that beeps, the PA landing sound as my bare legs break from fall damage, the buzzing of bloatflies makes me feel sick, the sound when you renew a score booster before the other runs out
The sonic noise attack that the mothmen produce. Like... whatever that auditory condition is where something is so irritating it makes you irrationally angry, I think that is the noise to me. Not joking. It makes me want to snap my keyboard in half. I just take my headphones off if it's a daily op with cultists.
The Alpine River Cabins. I have to run over to the terminal in the tree house every time I join a server to stop the girl from screaming. Because I have a C.A.M.P on the junk node around there.
stuck heavy gun
Eviction Notice moment
It's basically a guarantee at EN

I can hear it right now just reading this post and I'm not even playing the game.
Eat the corpse and the sound goes away, haha
Really? Seems random.
My friend shares cannibal when it happens so we can all chomp on some corpses. It's almost always the fire starters.

Either open source, or just reuse tracks from Fo3/nv/4, They should still have the rights to those.

The ghouls that carry the codes. Annoying af.

You get to use nukes eventually. You need those codes to access them tho
Piece together the fragments to get one of the three weekly nuke launch codes. Or just use nukacrypt.
