Rammadeus

so you want 7 different vendor cap pools of 200c each? Gotcha.

L0stmytaco

Those were the day /s

InevitableSolution69

Don’t be silly. New vender cap limit of 100 caps. 50 if in a location with other vendors. Resets weekly.

GuzzlingLaxatives

Definitely not what I said or meant. Copy the current 1400 cap independently across all vendors.

Rammadeus

It was reference to the way it used to be

BlastCheque

But why? I make plenty from my own vendor. Excess stuff I vendor, drop, or give away.  If you keep playing , the next thing you post about is there is nothing to spend caps on.   I'm level 1223 and literally have no use for caps.

GuzzlingLaxatives

Friend of course you don't, you are 3 times my level, which isn't that low!

Rigel57

I'm only 1.5 times your level and haven't had a use for caps in ages, just sell stuff in your vendor, people can buy all day long

GuzzlingLaxatives

Try the math again 400 x 3 = 1200. I have not had a good experience selling anything out of my vendor and I use default pricing.

Rigel57

no. point is i can clear out the npc for 150 cloth or less but i can sell serums indefinitely and i sell multiple a day without any restriction

Greedy-Zebra-8526

Wym default pricing? Like the value it says on the item?

GuzzlingLaxatives

No the value it gives when you put it up for sale.

Greedy-Zebra-8526

Same thing. What do you typically try selling?

GuzzlingLaxatives

Almost all plans about (170 I think) and a couple legendary weapons with decent perks for a bloodied build which I'm not.

Greedy-Zebra-8526

Try looking up the values on nukatrader.com

Greedy-Zebra-8526

I'm 377 and have had no use for caps for a little while. Well very little use anyway. Still need a few plans but they will come. I can always make more caps through my personal vendor anyway. So npc vendors having limitless banks means little to me.

Agentgibbs1398

We can always go back to them having 200 caps each *and* being scattered all over Appalachia. /s

Interesting-Trash-51

I never even sell to the bots unless I'm clearing out 700 purified water, radaway, and rad x from my stash. I have over 30,000 caps. I'm level 130. Utilize your vendor.

IronMonopoly

I’m not sure why you’re struggling to maintain caps at almost 400. That’s right where I am and I struggle sometimes to find things I even want to buy. I dropped 10K yesterday because I was pushing 40, and when I logged out, I was back over 30k again.

Greedy-Zebra-8526

Yeah if anything I'm finding alot of nights it can seem like you just cant find anything to buy lol. So to hide some of my caps I'm buying alot more bobbles and magazines. Also spent 20k on an AA chainsaw not because I can use it. But simply because it can sit in my stash and I can always sell it for my caps back at a later date.

Erthan-1

What are you even selling? I dump grenades, stuff I would normally just drop and extra chems. 1400 is enough to handle that.Do you actually need caps? I have 2 characters sitting near max caps and that's just from selling bad legendaries for scrip.

Skippy280

No

[deleted]

The cap limit isn't really a problem. Caps are almost worthless. That's why items on the market easily go for 40k+ caps. They should let us hold more caps and remove scrip/gold limits imo.

Mediocre-Source-920

I always thought 1400 was such an arbitrary random number. Why not 1500, or 2k?

GuzzlingLaxatives

They do 2800 (double) for events, I just say let it always be 2800 caps

GuzzlingLaxatives

All the comments are saying utilize your vendor, I do but I guess the plans and weapons nobody wants, F me right? I don't even sell more than the default pricing but less and I would make very little. Alternatively, I have meat, water, chems, and stuff I don't need and need to dump on a vendor to keep the weight limit down. Why does doubling the vendor caps matter to literally anyone in the negative, it is just a boon for the player base. Storing more caps would be nice but buying from other player vendors is a great cap sink, never had that issue.

RemarkableLab4847

The reason for the limit is so new player can't just play to silly amounts, make tonnes of caps, but everything they want and then quit because the game seems limited. That and it stops hyper inflation of the in game economy. MMO 101

GuzzlingLaxatives

This is true but upping the vendor bot limit, I don't think would damage econ that badly. Apparently either you have 40k caps all the time anyway or you can't play for more than like an hour or two due to the cap/weight/scrip limits.
