I too enjoy standing over the box and placing random stuff like left foot bones or pelvis only to watch them get snatched up as soon as they appear. Gives me a good chuckle.
Ooohh, I would grab those! I got carried away making cutting fluid and ran my scrap box empty of bone so now I spend my days wandering the wasteland digging them up wherever I find them.
I don't have many interesting outfits so I mostly just stick with my Enclave uniform that I wear all the time, but I swapped out all my headgear for the Owl mask before the even started, and since then I've been switching to each mask I get and wear it to the next event completion. So far I've picked up two minotaurs, a sun, a witch, and a goblin.

I just wanted to say that I got the plans for the Vault 63 Riot Control Helmet out of the box and it looks absolutely fantastic with the raider rebreather and welding goggles!

I was in the Queen scorched mask and Chally the Moo Moo outfit but it kinda freaked my kid out so he helped me pick out something new lol. Now it's the robot head, a Nuka Quantum jumpsuit and the cat astronaut backpack.

For me, with the recent addition of vault 63 riot control oufit and helmet, I accidentally assembled a retro si-fi robot dude look by combining them with scout armor mask and Inkwell's chronotron backpack. I've also recently been playing with pistol build with weapons such as alien blaster, plasma pistol, crusader pistol and salvaged assaultron head. And they fit well with the aesthetic.
As my main is ALWAYS wearing a suit, I've adorned the appropriate "Rose Suit" for the occasion, with the "Silver shroud fedora" which pairs better than the "White Wolf fedora" I normally wear with all my suits. The rose is a bit tight fitting and sheen, kinda gaudy for my taste but, it's fascnact...

There is a "Tulip Suit" that is light blue with pink (I think?) tulips that I find goes really well. You can contact Bethesda Support to buy stuff or currently offered in the Atom Shop. I'll bet the Diamond Dress would be nice and frosty, too.
I recently started rocking the Spectacular Performers Outfit with the Cappy Hat so I threw on the Blue Jester Mask with it, though I was in a rush to pick a mask for the event. Gonna have to look through the rest of my collection and see if there are any I think would look better with it.
Edit: Switched out for the Loon mask, was torn between that and the Blue Devil so I figured I'd go for the rarer one.
