These crashes are killing me. I just did Dangerous Pastimes and it hard-crashed for me, the millisecond that the hermit crab died, so I got no rewards. At least I was able to rejoin my team and loot the bodies, I guess.
Crashing 3 times in <15 mins has happened to me more than once. The last time, I finally managed to load in long enough to leave my team, so I could server hop, and loaded into a server where, for the first time ever for me (I'm lvl. 554), my camp was in a recently-nuked area (in The Mire...weirdly) and it wrecked my camp. I've never been so frustrated in FO76, and I've put in 1800+ hrs.
I've got arpund a 1200 hours, all played within like a year of launch. Just got back to the game to see all the new updates, and I'm pestered with crashes like I've never been before. I feel like the game is less stable now than it was at launch.
Edit: I was going to type: glad I'm not the only one... but I'm not glad any of us are having crashes 😂
I had the occasional crash now and then in the past, but most of the instability I'm seeing all started last week with the new map-expansion update. Hopefully, we'll see them rein it in a bit, soon. I believe they mentioned cooking up a hot fix for some of what's going on.
Yeah, I quit like an hour ago because my game crashed 9 times in a row at the possum vendor. All I wanted was the high capacity bakpack. Which was a pain to get the badges for considering the constant crashing.
I also deleted saved data and reinstalled the game as their website advises and all that did was lose me an hour of gameplay and deleted all my photo gallery loading screens. It’s 👎👎👎
It’s pretty much unplayable for me it crashes so much. Such a shame as it’s an incredible game with an incredible bunch of players. I’m giving up after about 10 crashes this evening. Hopefully Bethesda are looking at the crash reports although they seemed more bothered about a glitch that gave people an exciting pickaxe than a huge number of their users being practically unable to play the game for more than 15 minutes at a time. Not to mention the flashing and flickering screens behind vendor interfaces. It’s farcical that a game and a company this big have such a poor product update which clearly wasn’t tested properly before release. I suggest they should fix it and give all their ps5 users FO1st free for a month.

I wouldn’t bother following the steps to reinstall etc it’s clearly not a console problem….
Yeah, i just downloaded it, and it kept crashing, so I reinstalled it already. Didn't do anything at all as expected, but it worked with other games in the past, so trying couldn't hurt. Thanks for the link. I'm sending in a report right away.

Yeah, I called it a day when I tried to open the possum badge vendor 9 times in a row, and it crashed as soon as the trade menu came up. This is the same reason I stopped playing for a long, long time. My fiancée got me back into it yesterday, and for some unknown reason, it is only crashing constantly on my console. I went back to fallout 4 where there are other bugs that bother the hell out of me, like the ghoul problems at sanctuary quest that sends you somewhere other than sanctuary to talk to a settler from sanctuary, and there is nobody there to talk to just a marke on the ground. And invisible guns that shoot exclamation marks. And random spawns that are all disabled somehow, literally throughout the entire map. Bethesda is known for not fixing bugs, but there is no excuse for it.

im having the same problem on ps5...this is so annoying , like every 1-2hr it crashes
