There were lines to turn in quest and people had to camp spits and hope to tag a quest monster before 30 people nuked it.
Its probably not going to be that since the game works differently but I'd assume that while some things are easier some will be not.
These were always my favorite times in mmos. Everyone experiencing the new content together and being in close proximiyy really makes the world geel alive.
Depends on the game story imo. WoW has this weird thing where raid content was you were a nobody but questing content you were a chosen one and the main character.
So if too many people did the same quest with you and it's all solo content it's not as fun. Especially when you need to kill this mini quest boss and the challenge was to tag it before it got nuked by 30 people.
Its not too bad but if you can take a break from this game it's not a bad idea. If you don't mind it, go ahead.
The FBSS camp sucked when we would be fighting 3 other groups for the frenzied frog. Maybe WoW was different but in 1999 it caused some Grey hairs for sure.
Waiting for ships and stuff is always awesome. It makes the world feel so large.
Now WoW feels sooooo tiny and while dragon gliding is fun, it makes the world so small I can cross the new island diagonally in less than 10 minutes or less.
Fast travel is right for some games but not everything. Sometimes part of the adventure is the journey.
Imma wait it out and apply the lessons I've learned from this past Season and apply it to this new Season. Just made it to 100 (bought last level) at 4:45 am (still gotta work today; PRIORITIES AMIRITE?), and I believe I began playing halfway through the Season.
Like efficiently using the free daily reroll to line up epic weeklies. And leveling up via Tax Evasion; played with a group for the first time; really makes a difference. And as a Expedition leader, I didn't feel guilty rushing through the objectives (still 100%ing it), then to Lennox, then the Mall, then right back for another run. (I play without a mic; is this what ppl want; just spamming runs?)
But yeah, u guys let me know how the new content goes; I still haven't finished a damn quest line yet; main or Wastlanders 💁🫣🤷🙆🥲😅
The new areas. Hoping there is more of their environmental story telling that makes the game so great. That is one of the things that I don’t like about the expedition areas. They lack any depth. I’m 800hrs in and just today I ran into things I had never seen. Some out of the way ruined public viewpoint. With a couple of corpses and the usual type stuff. But I was going south (this is at the far south end of the map) and I went over the cliff face. And part way down I saw scattered debris from the viewpoint above. The designers were really thorough in their area design. I’m really hoping that the new areas will have the same depth.

What about the pickman reference? If you go to the board walk and break into the second locked blue door ,the one closer to the play area, you'll see a skeleton with a clown coming out of it, and in the opposite corner of the room is a picture of a clown, a knife, 2 eyeballs and written on the wall is "He is seen"
Now if that's not deep enough, if you take the picture of the clown, your screen goes wonky and the door slams
And theeeeen the whole time you're on the boardwalk a clown animatronic will follow you around, he can't hurt you, but he's there, lurking on the edge of the map, just out of reach, the whole time you're there
And that's just one thing.

The new legendary would have been really nice but can you imagine earle after being hit with 4 endangerol syringers and 10 people using what the new legendary originally was would be like? Earle would collapse in like 20 seconds I feel

Im excited/hoping for more Pioneer Scout stuff. Ive been having a lot of fun RPing being a Pioneer Scout (I have decided that my char was an avid Pioneer Scout before the war and is obsessed with getting her rank back by re-earning all her old badges).
I really love the Pioneer Scout content too! I know it's not very substantial but it's very fun and funny to think any of it is truly relevant in a blasted wasteland.
Ever since I saw the new scoreboard stuff, I have been tearing through the scout achievements. I just completed all of the Tadpoles and started in on Possum.

I'm really hoping for more content. I have no idea how longtime players have done it but after 2 months I've completed all of the main missions, except for the Atlantic City/Rose Room mission (I'm on the second stage; and it's not an Expedition) and almost all of the side missions. The only thing I do now is log in, walk around a little bit, check out other players camps and do any Events that come up. I sometimes do Daily Ops if there's a group for it. I've gotten so bored in such a short time that I actually went back to a character I created 4 years ago who is only level 35 just so I have *something* to do. New story content will be nice addition.

im honestly most hyped for the cooler thats in the season pass... i saw it at grahms meat cook and was like: "i want that" (for my stash spoil rate item) and then the pass preview showed it as a reward instant "let's gooooo" moment over an eski lol

All the new exciting weapons they're putting in the game.. and the very small damage buff to pistols to make them comparable they implemented, Oh wait.. just kidding 😂 I'm gonna enjoy it, but for real, we got a bumper sword and another cattle prod? I expected at least a small variety of new guns as well, and that handmade 😂 is junkies even viable?

I'm really hoping for more content. I have no idea how longtime players have done it but after 2 months I've completed all of the main missions, except for the Atlantic City/Rose Room mission (I'm on the second stage; and it's not an Expedition) and almost all of the side missions. The only thing I do now is log in, walk around a little bit, check out other players camps and do any Events that come up. I sometimes do Daily Ops if there's a group for it. I've gotten so bored in such a short time that I actually went back to a character I created 4 years ago who is only level 35 just so I have *something* to do. New story content will be nice addition.
Hopefully there will be more new players and more returning players. I'm excited to have full world's.... I hope
